Mike Tenay and Dusty Rhodes open the program.
Tenay, “Dusty, we are live!”
Rhodes, “Iron Mike, ‘LIVE’ baybee!”
Tenay, “That’s right, ‘Thunder’ will now be broadcast live every Monday night. We are here in Spokane, and what a show we have!”
Rhodes, “Let’s talk about Dustin!”
Tenay, “Easy, we’ll get there. A lot happened in Tacoma, and we’ll talk about them tonight. Let’s get started with the man who is still World Champion.”
Match #1
Non Title Match
Yokozuna (World Champion) vs. Gary Royal
Tenay explains that Yokozuna defeated the Patriot in a hard fought match in Tacoma. The Champion dominates the action. He moves quickly. Yokozuna kicks and chops away. He wins with the Banzai drop.
Winner- Yokozuna
We go to commercial. When we return, Dusty Rhodes is in the ring.
Rhodes, “Let me introduce the NEW United States Champion…my son Dustin!”
Dustin comes to the ring wearing the United States Title belt. He and his father embrace.
Dusty, “Dustin, I knew you could do it!”
Dustin, “Dad, you taught me well. Now that I have the title, I’m not giving it up!”
Dusty, “You can count on that, now let’s see you in action.”
Match #2
Non-Title Match
Dustin Rhodes (United States Champion) vs. Black Bart
The new champion wrestles with confidence. He fought hard to get this title, and he doesn’t seem to be willing to give it up. Bart is a tough cowboy, and this is a brawl. Bart punishes Dustin, but he rallies. Rhodes hits a bulldog fir the win.
Winner- Dustin Rhodes
Match #3
Maxx Payne vs. Tony Falk
The massive metal head is in action. He goes right after Falk. Payne is huge and the fans have taken to him. He has very good wrestling skill and he shows it. Falk is very game, but he’s no match for Payne. Maxx uses tne German suplex for the win.
Winner- Maxx Payne
Mike Tenay is with Hacksaw Jim Duggan.
Tenay, “Fans, let’s see some footage from the ‘Summer Spectacular’.”
Finally, all four men end up in the ring. Referee Billy Silverman tries to get Jacques out of the ring. In the confusion, Pierre grabs Duggan from behind in a full Nelson. Doink comes off the ropes, but Pierre releases the hold and Doink decks Duggan. Pierre covers him. Doink is terrified, as Silverman counts the fall Doink high tails it to the back.
Tenay, “Hacksaw, what do you think?”
Duggan, “Old Hacksaw is a big dummy. I thought I could trust that clown, that’s my fault! Listen to me Doink, don’t talk to me, don’t show up at my matches, don’t even come to the arena where I’m wrestling! I want nothing to do with you!”
Tenay, “I think Hacksaw was pretty clear. He is in action next.”
Match #4
Hacksaw Jim Duggan vs. Wild Bill Irwin
Hacksaw wrestles with an even more aggressive style. He is angry about his loss in the tag team match. He works over Irwin. Suddenly Doink comes to ringside. He carries a sign that reads “I’m Sorry!”. Diggan yells at him to leave. Doink climbs up on the ring apron. This distracts Duggan, and Irwin rolls him up. Referee Chad Patton counts 1…2…3! Doink is shocked! He takes off for the back. Duggan is stunned, what is going on?
Winner- Wild Bill Irwin
Marc Lowrance is seated in the studio with Diamond Dallas Page and Kimberly the Diamond Doll.
Lowrance, “With me is Diamond Dallas Page. He’s brought a guest with him today.”
DDP, “That’s right Matc. This is Kimberly the Diamond Doll. She’s at my side all the time, and she’s my inspiration.”
Lowrance, “Welcome Kimberly.”
Kimberly, “Thank you Marc. It’s a pleasure to be here, and Dallas is right, I will be by his side every night.”
Lowrance, “Alright Dallas, tell us what your plans are in WWA?”
DDP, “Marc, I’m here to go to the top. The best in wrestling are here, and I want every one of them in the ring. I want to beat them all. I want titles, and Kimberly and I will get them! Feel the BANG!”
Lowrance, “DDP will be in the ring next week.”
Match #5
Tom Zenk vs. IRS
Two veterans match up. IRS jumps Zenk before the bell. He hammers away at Zenk. The Z man is in trouble. Zenk fights back. Now we have a brawl. The match goes back and forth. Both men have their chances. Zenk hits a flying bodypress for the win.
Winner- Tom Zenk
Marc Lowrance is with Paul Orndorf and Jimmy Hart.
Lowrance, “Jimmy Hart is with us. Mr. Hart, you shocked the world by bringing in Paul Orndorf.”
Hart, “HAHAHA! Paul Orndorf is a wrestling legends. The ‘First Family’ was the strongest group in wrestling, now it’s even stronger. The WWA belongs to us. Tell them Paul.”
Orndorf, “Listen Lowrance, I’m an all time great, and now I have Jimmy Hart in my corner. There is no stopping me!”
Lowrance, “Paul Orndorf is in the ring next.”
Match #6
“Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorf w/Jimmy Hart vs. Iceman King Parsons
The arrogant Orndorf has made Hart’s group even stronger. The Iceman will be a good test. Parsons starts quickly. He doesn’t take a step back. Orndorf stands toe to toe with him, and they exchange rights and lefts. Hart is manic at ringside. He shouts instructions. Orndorf gains control of the action. He takes over and wins with a piledriver. Jimmy Hart is on top of the world.
Winner- Paul Orndorf
Match #7
The Quebecers w/Scott D’Amore vs. The Fantastics
Two thirds of Team Canada take on a legendary team. D’Amore demands the Canadian National Anthem be played. He and his team stand at attention. Referee Billy Silverman calls for the bell and we are underway. It’s Jacques vs. Bobby Fulton to start things. The two veterans go back and forth. They exchange holds and counter holds. There is very little to choose between the two. Tommy Rogers tags in, and continues the action. Pierre tags in, and the bigger Quebecer picks up the aggressiveness. The match is very close, and exciting. Pierre ends things by hitting to cannonball on Rogers.
Winners- The Quebecers

Tenay, “Dusty, ‘Thunder Live’ is the hottest thing in wrestling!”
Rhodes, “It sure is Iron Mike, what’s happening next week?”
Tenay, “Dusty, we will be in Reno, NV, at the Lawlor Events Center, and our main event will be Sam Houston vs. Kevin Sullivan.”
Rhodes, “Da Debil!”
