Mike Tenay and Dusty Rhodes open the program.
Tenay, “Welcome to ‘Monday Night Thunder’. We are one week away from the ‘Summer Spectacular’. We will talk about the big show, and Hacksaw Jim Duggan. We will find out about Doink, and the tag team match. Let’s get things started.”
Match #1
Iceman King Parsons vs. Billy Black
Two underrated wrestlers open the show. The action goes back and forth. Black tries to rough up Ice, but Parsons fights back. Parsons gets a two count, but Black kicks out. Black hits a moonsault for the win.
Winner- Billy Black
Match #2
The Bushwhackers vs. Calvin Knapp vs. Bobby Blaze
The popular New Zealanders will get a shot at Hogan and The Giant at the pay per view. The bell rings at the Bushwhackers are buzzsaws. Luke and Blaze go at it. Luke is so aggressive. Butch tags in and continues the attack. Knapp tries his hand, but the Bushwhackers use the battering ram for the win.
Winners- The Bushwhackers
Match #3
Charlie Norris vs. Mr. Hughes w/Woman
The massive Mr. Hughes continues to impress. Norris is game, but he gives up a lot of size. Norris uses his speed to hit and run. He gets in a few shots. Woman is frustrated, and she calls Hughes to the floor. She sends him back in, and he goes to work. Norris puts up a good fight, but Hughes hits the sidewalk slam for the win.
Winner- Mr. Hughes
Marc Lowrance is with Yokozuna and Mr. Fuji.
Lowrance, “With me is the World Champion, and his manager. Mr. Fuji, it’s going to be no disqualification, no count, in Tacoma, Yokozuna vs. the Patriot.”
Fuji, “Stupid, stupid, American. Patriot, You think you can beat Japanese Champion? No, you can not. No disqualification, no count out, that helps us. We will destroy Patriot, the end is coming.”
Lowrance, “Let’s hear from the Patriot.”
We see the Patriot in an interview area.
Patriot, “Yokozuna, this is my chance. You can’t get disqualified, or counted out! The fans are behind me, and together, I’m going to be the World Champion!”

Yokozuna (World Champion) vs. “Desperado” Joe Gomez
The massive Champion has been unstoppable. Gomez is a tough youngster. The Champion chops and kicks away. Gomez is in trouble. He puts up a good fight, but Yokozuna is too much. He hits a banzai drop for the win.
Winner- Yokozuna
Match #5
The Patriot vs. Tony Falk
The popular masked man has been on a collision course with Yokozuna. The fans are behind him, and think this is his chance. He straits quickly, and Falk is in trouble. The crowd is behind the Patriot, and he dominates the action. He hits the Patriot missile for the win.
Winner- The Patriot
Marc Lowrance is seated in the studio.
Lowrance, “Fans, we are less than a week away from the ‘Summer Spectacular’. Tickets are sold out in Tacoma, but contact your local cable provider for ordering information. The card is set. Here is what you will see.
In a no disqualification, no count out match for the World Title, Yokozuna defends against the Patriot.
For the United States Championship, the Bossman defends against Dustin Rhodes.
The World Tag Team Champions, Hollywood Hogan and the Giant, defend against the Bushwhackers.
Jimmy Hart will debut a new man.
Speaking of debuts, ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage will make his first appearance in the WWA.
Sam Houston will take on Kevin Sullivan’s ‘Mystery Man’.
The Earthquake meets the Ultimate Warrior.

We see highlights from last week’s program.
Brown waits in the ring and the circus music plays. Doink comes down the aisle. He entertains the fans on the way to the ring. As strange as he is, most of the people like him. Doink stops at the announce table. He reaches into his jacket and pulls out an envelope. He hands it to Tenay who starts to open it. Doink shakes his head “no”. Tenay puts the envelope on the desk, and Doink acknowledges it.
Doink goes to the desk. He points at the envelope. He wants Tenay to open it. Tenay does.
Tenay, “It’s a WWA match contract for the ‘Summer Spectacular’, the Quebecers vs. Doink the Clown and…Hacksaw Jim Duggan! It looks official. It’s signed by President JJ Dillon.”
Doink jumps up and down and celebrates.
Tenay, “Fans, I don’t know what is going on. We need to talk with Hacksaw. Maybe we can hear from him next week. It is our final show before the pay per view. Don’t miss it.”
Lowrance, “Dusty Rhodes caught up with Jim Duggan earlier.”
We see Dusty Rhodes and Hacksaw Jim Duggan.
Rhodes, “Hacksaw, what’s going on?”
Duggan, “Dusty, I have an open contract for singles and tag team matches. This Clown signed his name and got D’Amore to sign the Quebecers for a match.”
Rhodes, “Are you going to go through with it? Are you going to wrestle this match?”
Duggan, “Old Hacksaw never backs down from a fight. I’ll wrestle with this clown as a partner, but Doink, listen to me. You better hold up your end of the bargain. I’m not coming to fool around, I’m coming to win, you better do the same! Tough guy!”
Rhodes, “I don’t know about this one.”
We go back to Marc Lowrance.
Lowrance, “We have a tag team match, the Quebecers vs. Hacksaw Jim Duggan, and Doink the Clown.”

The Long Riders vs. Joe Savoldi and Joe Lightfoot
Wild Bill Irwin and Black Bart have returned to the WWA and formed a tag team. They are a rugged team, and will make a name for themselves. Lightfoot and Bart open the contest. Bart roughs up the Chief, and he tags in Irwin. The big biker continues the attack. Savoldi tags in, but he fares no better. Irwin hits the big boot for the win.
Winners- The Long Riders
Match #7
Tatanka vs. Assassin #1
The Lumbee Indian from North Carolina is undefeated since arriving in the WWA. He meets the mysterious masked man. The Assassin pulls out all of his dirty tricks. Tatanka fights back. He lands several tomahawk chops, and the masked man is stunned. One more sends him to the mat, and Tatanka slaps on the Indian deathlock, and the Assassin submits.
Winner- Tatanka
Mike Tenay and Dusty Rhodes close the show.
Tenay, “Dusty, we are just a few days away from the pay per view.”
Rhodes, “Iron Mike, it’s going to be a wild night. If you haven’t ordered the pay per view, what’s wrong with you? Do it now!”
