Mike Tenay and Dusty Rhodes open the program.
Tenay, “Dusty, we are two weeks away from the ‘Summer Spectacular’.”
Rhodes, “Iron Mike it’s going to be a big night in Tacoma!”
Tenay, “We will talk about the big show tonight. We also have quite the main event, Doink the Clown, will take on Koko B. Ware.”
Rhodes, “That clown is annoying, but he’s proven he can wrestle.”
Tenay, “Let’s go to Marc Lowrance.”
Match #1
Terry Taylor vs. “Desperado” Joe Gomez
The veteran Taylor takes on the young “Desperado”. Gomez starts fast. He dishes out punishment, and Taylor is in trouble. He begins to fight back. Taylor goes for a sleeper, but Gomez gets to the ropes. The match goes back and forth until Taylor hits the flying forearm for the win.
Winner- Terry Taylor

Black Bart vs. Tony Falk
The rugged cowboy from the Badlands of South Dakota returns to the WWA. He jumps Falk before the bell. The veteran dishes out punishment. He whips Falk into the ropes and drops with with a shoulder tackle. Bart continues to dish out punishment until he wins with a power slam.
Winner- Black Bart

The Earthquake w/Scott D’Amore vs. Brickhouse Brown
The massive Earthquake comes to the ring with Scott D’Amore. “Team Canada” has caught everyone’s attention. “Of Canada” plays and D’Amore and Earthquake stand at attention. The bell rings and we are underway. Brown tries to elude the big man. Earthquake traps Brown and dishes out punishment. Brickhouse puts up a good fight, but the Earthquake wins with the earthquake.
Winner- The Earthquake

Lowrance, “Fans, we are two weeks away from the ‘Summer Spectacular’. Tickets are sold out in Tacoma, but you can still see all the action on pay per view. Here’s what you will see.
’Macho Man’ Randy Savage will be in action.
Sam Houston will meet Kevin Sullivan’s man.
The Earthquake, from Team Canada, takes on the Ultimate Warrior.
The Bossman will defend the United States Championship against Dustin Rhodes.
In the main event, The Patriot challenges World Champion Yokozuna in a no count out, no disqualification match.
Tonight, we can add another match. The new World Tag Team Champions, Hollywood Hogan and the Giant defend against the Bushwhackers. Let’s hear from the Champions and Jimmy Hart.”
We see Hogan, the Giant, and Jimmy Hart in an intervenes area.
Hart, “HAHAHA! The Bushwhackers, you have to be kidding me! Look at Hollywood, look at the Giant, the most powerful forces in pro wrestling! We’re not losing these titles, we’re just winning more! Now let me break some news. The ‘First Family’ is growing. At the ‘Summer Spectacular’ I’m going to introduce a new man. We are putting together a group that will rule the wrestling world! HAHAHA!”
Lowrance, “A new man, who could it be? Make sure you call your local cable provider for ordering information.”

The Fantastics vs. Bobby Duncum Jr. and Billy Black
The legendary Fantastics debut in the WWA. They have been a top tag team for a long time. Duncum and Black are a very good team as well. The action is fast paced, and goes back and forth. Both Duncum and Black trap Rogers in the corner. He fights his way out and tags in Fulton. Bobby cleans house, and the crowd goes crazy. The action goes back and forth until the bell rings. The time limit has expired.
Result- Time Limit Draw

Non Title Match
The Bossman (United States Champion) w/Woman and Charlie Norris
The Bossman has a date with Dustin Rhodes at the ‘Summer Spectacular’. Norris is a game young Native American from Minnesota. Bossman uses his size to control the early action. Norris fights back. He puts up a good fight, but the Champion is too much. He wins with the Bubba slam.
Winner- The Bossman
Marc Lowrance is with Sam Houston and Baby Doll.
Lowrance, “With me are Sam Houston and Baby Doll. Kevin Sullivan is making your lives miserable. He wants the ‘Wicked Witch’ to join him. Sam, you meet a man, he has chosen, at the ‘Summer Spectacular’. It’s dangerous to take on an unknown.”
Houston, “ Marc, I don’t care. Someone needs to shut that guy up and it’s going to be me.”
Baby Doll, “Kevin Sullivan I want no part of your band of misfits. You are about to find out how much of a ‘Wicked Witch’ I actually am!”
Houston, “Sullivan, I’m coming for your goon!”
Lowrance, “Sam, is in the ring next.”

Sam Houston w/Baby Doll vs. Assassin #1
The popular Houston takes on the mysterious masked man. Houston has to be looking over his shoulder for Kevin Sullivan. The Assassin tries to rough up Sam. Baby Doll shouts instructions. Sam rallies. He goes to the bulldog for the win. As referee Scott Dickinson raises Sam’s hand, the lights go out. We hear Kevin Sullivan over the pa. “Sam Houston, I’m coming for you! Wicked Witch, come join us!” Houston and Baby Doll look stunned.
Winner- Sam Houston

Doink the Clown vs. Brickhouse Brown
Brown waits in the ring and the circus music plays. Doink comes down the aisle. He entertains the fans on the way to the ring. As strange as he is, most of the people like him. Doink stops at the announce table. He reaches into his jacket and pulls out an envelope. He hands it to Tenay who starts to open it. Doink shakes his head “no”. Tenay puts the envelope on the desk, and Doink acknowledges it. Doink enters the ring and we are underway. Despite his unusual demeanor Doink is a talented wrestler. Brown is as well. The match is very even until Doink rounds up Brickhouse. The Clown takes over and wins with the stump puller. Doink goes to tne desk. He points at the envelope. He wants Tenay to open it. Tenay does.
Tenay, “It’s a WWA match contract for the ‘Summer Spectacular’, the Quebecers vs. Doink the Clown and…Hacksaw Jim Duggan! It looks official. It’s signed by President JJ Dillon.”
Doink jumps up and down and celebrates.
Tenay, “Fans, I don’t know what is going on. We need to talk with Hacksaw. Maybe we can hear from him next week. It is our final show before the pay per view. Don’t miss it.”
