Mike Tenay and Dusty Rhodes open the program.
Tenay, “Welcome to ‘Saturday Night Wrestling’! Dream, what a night we have here.”
Rhodes, “Iron Mike, we have the best in wrestling. What about this tag team situation?”
Tenay, “We have a tag team title match, but we don’t know who the challengers will be. We also have the World Champion, Yokozuna, in action. Let’s get things started with the tag team title match.”
Match #1
World Tag Team Championship
The Champions, the Galactic Warriors, wait in the the ring. We hear Voodoo Chili, and Hollywood Hogan, and the Giant come to the ring! They are the challengers. They hit the ring and we are underway. We have a brawl. Referee Chad Patton tries to sort things out. He gets the Giant and the Gladiator in the ring. The two big men slug it out. The Giant whips the Gladiator into the ropes and clamps on a bear hug. The Gladiator works his way to the ropes, and the hold is broken. Big Titan tags in. He goes after the Giant. He tags in Hogan. These two go at it until Hogan hits the big boot, and then the legdrop. Patton counts 1…2…3! We have new tag team champions! Jimmy Hart celebrates with his men.
Winners- Hollywood Hogan and the Giant (New World Tag Team Champions)
We go back to Mike Tenay and Dusty Rhodes.
Tenay, “Dusty, new champions, Hollywood Hogan and the Giant! I can’t believe it!”
Rhodes, “Iron Mike, Jimmy Hart pulled a fast one on us! He has the World Tag Team Champions!
Tenay, “This changes the landscape of the WWA. Let’s go back to the ring.”
Match #2
Doink the Clown vs. Iceman King Parsons
We hear the circus music and Doink comes to the ring. A lot of people are afraid of clowns, there may be a reason to fear this one. Doink goes to work on the Iceman. Despite the costume, this is a man to be respected. Iceman fights back, and we have a knockdown, drag out brawl. The Clown maneuvers into place and clamps on the stump puller, and Parsons quickly submits. Doink pulls out a sign that reads “Hacksaw and Doink Tag Team Champions”. He parades around the ring holding the sign.
Winner- Doink the Clown
We switch back to the locker room, and Marc Lowrance is with Hollywood Hogan, tne Giant and Jimmy Hart. They all have bottles of champagne, Hogan smokes a huge cigar.
Lowrance, “With me are the new tag team champions.”
Hogan, “Look at us brah! Look at the new champions! We’ve decided we want all the titles in the WWA, so we started with the tag titles!”
Hart, “HAHAHAHA! That's right! Look at these two monsters, who’s going to beat them!”
Hogan, “We’re putting the rest of the WWA on notice…if you have a title, you aren’t safe! Hollywood, and the Giant are coming after you, and whatcha’ gonna’ do when that happens!”
Hart, “This is just the beginning!”
Match #3
Six Man Tag Team Match
The Bushwhackers and Marcus Alexander Bagwell vs. The Quebecers and the Earthquake w/Scott D’Amore
D’Amore and Team Canada stand at attention as “Oh Canada” plays. Butch and Pierre open the match. Pierre uses his size to control the action. Butch fights back. There are very few wrestling holds. Luke tags in and goes right after Pierre. The brawl continues. Bagwell tags in and the crowd explodes. Especially the young ladies love him. Now the massive Earthquake tags in. The giant goes to work. Bagwell holds his own, but the Earthquake is too much. He hits the Earthquake for the win. D’Amore has three monsters on his hands.
Winners- The Quebecers and the Earthquake
Marc Lowrance is seated in the studio.
Lowrance, “Fans, are less than a year away from the big pay per view. On July 28 we will be at the Tacoma Dome for the ‘Summer Spectacular’. Tickets for the Tacoma Dome are sold out, but you can see all the action in the comfort of your living room.
Here is what you will see.
For the United States Championship, the Bossman takes on Dustin Rhodes
The Earthquake meets the Ultimate Warrior
Tatanka takes on Billy Black
Sam Houston will meet Kevin Sullivan’s new man
And in the main event, in a no disqualification, no count out, match, Yokozuna defends the World Title against the Patriot
And this man will be in action.”
We see Randy Savage in an interview area.
Savage, “The Macho Man is in the WWA, yes he is! I’ve come here to go to the top. I’m going to be in Tacoma, yes I am. I Don't know who I’m wrestling, don’t care! The Macho Man is on top of the world, ohhhhh yeaaaa!”
Lowrance, “Stay tuned to WWA television for more information.”
Match #4
Tatanka vs. “Desperado” Joe Gomez
The popular Native American is in action against the rugged youngster. Gomez jumps Tatanka before the bell. He works over the Lumbee Indian. The crowd gets behind Tatanka, and he rallies. He chops away, and Gomez is in retreat. The tide turns, and Tatanka takes over. He applies the figure four, and Gomez submits.
Winner- Tatanka
We see Marc Lowrance is with Big John Hawk.
Lowrance, “Fans, with me is John Hawk. Mr. Hawk, you’ve been absent for a while, but you’re back.”
Hawk, “Lowrance, you don’t miss a trick, do you? I’ve been wrestling all over the world, and I’ve been beating everyone they threw at me! I came back to the WWA to put everyone on notice. I have an open contract, sign it, and step on the ring with a real Texan! I came back to go to the top, and I don’t care how many broken bodies I leave behind me!”
Lowrance, “Big John Hawk is back in the WWA, and he’s put everyone on notice.”
Match #5
Big John Hawk vs. Koko B. Ware
Big John Hawk is back, and he’s let everyone know it. Koko will be quite the test. Hawk starts fast. He pounds away and the Birdman, but Koko fights back. We have have a pier six brawl. Ware uses his quickness to hit and run, and it works for a time. Hawk is able to turn the tide and win with a big lariat. John Hawk is someone to be reckoned with.
Winner- Big John Hawk
Marc Lowrance is with Mr. Fuji and Yokozuna.
Lowrance, “With me are the World Champion, and his manager. Mr. Fuji, your man meets Tito Santana tonight, a good test, but the takes on the Patriot at the ‘Summer Spectacular’. Is he ready?”
Fuji, “Ready, of course he is ready. Look at Yokozuna, he biggest champion ever. No one from Mexico, and no weak American can beat him. Yokozuna will remain champion.”
Lowrance, “Well, tne match with the Patriot is no disqualification, no count. There will be no escape.”
Fuji, “Yokozuna does not need escape, he is the champion.”
Lowrance, “Alright, let’s see what happens.”
Match #6
Non Title Match
Yokozuna (World Champion) w/Mr. Fuji vs. Tito Santana
Fuji leads the massive World Champion to the ring. Santana is a veteran who has seen it all, but Yokozuna is just so big. Referee Scott Dickinson calls for the bell, and we are underway. Tito hits and moves and this keeps the champion off balance. Yokozuna stalks his man, and finally traps him. He chops and kicks away and Tito is in trouble. Fuji looks very pleased at ringside. Santana fights back, but Yokozuna is too much. He hits the banzai drop for the win. He hits a second one, Tito is in trouble! Down the aisle comes the Patriot! He hits the ring and attacks the champion. The Patriot throws good old American rights and lefts. Suddenly the Patriot scoops up tne big man and slams him to the mat! Fuji and Yokozuna are stunned. The champion rolls out of the ring. The crowd goes crazy!
Winner- Yokozuna
Mike Tenay and Dusty Rhodes close the show.
Rhodes, “He slammed him, Iron Mike, he slammed him!”
Tenay, “I saw it, Dusty, I saw it! That has to put some doubt in the champion’s mind.”
Rhodes, “The action here is unbelievable!”
Tenay, “It is, join on Monday night for all the fallout!”
