GIANT BABA is seated a table, along with several wrestlers.
Baba thanks the media that's present for joining them on this historic day. He says that they are here to announce the start of a new promotion in Japan!
Baba says that the World Wrestling Kingdom will bring fans right across the country the very best in professional wrestling.
He introduces some of the wrestlers that will be involved, stars like Jushin Thunder Liger, Toshiaki Kawada, Keiji Mutoh, Masahiro Chono, Kenta Kobashi, Tatsumi Fujinami, Genichiro Tenryu, and Riki Choshu!
The World Wrestling Kingdom will also feature the very best in joshi wrestling, as stars like Aja Kong, Bull Nakano, Manami Toyota and Akira Hokuto will be involved!
Baba says that their opening tour will kick off on April 16 at Korakuen Hall, and will wrap up on May 1 at Nippon Budokan.
He then talks about championships in the new promotion. He says that on the second last show of the opening tour, in Osaka, the Super J-Crown tournament will take place. 14 of the top junior heavyweights in the world will take part in this one-night, single elimination tournament to crown the first Super J-Crown champion!
Baba says that the King's Crown championship will be awarded to Mitsuharu Misawa, as he currently holds both the All Japan Triple Crown championship AND the New Japan IWGP heavyweight championship.
At this point, MITSUHARU MISAWA stands up and asks Baba for the opportunity to speak.
Misawa says that he doesn't feel right about having the title just given to him. He says that he would like to earn the title.
Misawa says that, with Baba's approval, he would like to take part in a proving series on the opening tour. He says that he would like a series of matches, against four of the legends who have made pro wrestling in Japan what it is today . . . Riki Choshu, Genichiro Tenryu, gaijin Stan Hansen, and "the Dragon" Tatsumi Fujinami!
Misawa says he would like to face each of those four men in singles matches, and if he can beat them, then and only then, does he deserve to call himself champion.
Baba says that, if that's what Misawa wants, then he will sanction it!
Baba then takes a few moments to answer questions from the press, before ending the press conference.
