Mike Tenay and Dusty Rhodes open the program.
Tenay, “Welcome fans, we are five days away from ‘Spring Stampede’! Dusty, I can’t wait.”
Rhodes, “Iron Mike, it’s going to be fantastic, I’m like you, I can’t wait!”
Tenay, “We have a great show tonight. We have to find out about the U.S. Title match, will Dustin get his shot?”
Rhodes, “ Baby, that big old Bossman is in trouble, Dustin is going to get his shot, and he’s going to win the title, write that down!”
Tenay, “We will find out tonight. We also have a great main event, the Patriot takes on Jimmy Hart’s man, Al Perez. He’s taking a chance with this match so close to his title shot.”
Rhodes, “He can handle it.”
Tenay, “Well, let’s get started.”
Match #1
Kevin Von Erich vs. Joe Gomez
The veteran from Lake Dallas has a shot at one last run as a champion. He meets Big John Hawk at “Spring Stampede”. Tonight he takes on the rugged youngster, the “Desperado”. Kevin is very talented. He goes right after Gomez. Gomez puts up a good fight, but Kevin is too much. He hits a flying bodypress for the win.
Winner- Kevin Von Erich
Match #2
Tito Santana vs. Tony Falk
The popular Santana comes to the ring to the cheers of the crowd. Falk is very game. Santana moves quickly, and takes the fight to Tony. Tito is in control, and Falk goes to illegal tactics. Santana is ready for it. He takes over and wins with a flying forearm.
Winner- Tito Santana
Match #3
The Simpson Brothers vs. The Assassins
The popular brothers from South Africa meet the mysterious masked team. Shaun starts with Assassin #1. Shaun is quickly becoming a very talented wrestler. He works over the masked man, and the Assassin tags in his partner. #2 tries his hand. Steve tags in and goes to work. He hits a flying bodypress from the win.

Marc Lowrance is seated in the studio.
Lowrance, “We are just a few days away from ‘Spring Stampede’. The McNicholls Sports Arena is sold out, but you can still order the event on pay per view. Contact your local cable provider for information on ordering.
Now, here is what you will see.
In the main event, Yokozuna defends the World Title against the Patriot.
For the World Tag Team Championship, the T-Rex Brothers defend against the Intergalactic Warriors.
For the Western States Championship, Kevin Von Erich challenges Big John Hawk.
Mexican star, Konnan, will be in action.
Greg Valentine meets this man.”
We see Roddy Piper in an interview area.
Piper, “Greg Valentine, you want another piece of me? I had an open contract, and you signed it. I give you credit, that took guts. You, and I go back a long way, and we tried to end each other’s career, maybe this time we will. You know I ain’t taking a step backwards, and you won’t either. This is going to be a war!”
Lowrance, “Roddy Piper vs. Greg Valentine, a fight for the ages. We have one more announcement. Last week, Dustin Rhodes, told WWA President James J. Dillon he wanted a shot at the United States Champion, the Bossman. Let’s hear from President Dillon.”
Dillon, “Last week Dustin Rhodes indicated he wanted a match with the United States Champion, the Bossman. The Championship Committee Agreed, and we went to work signing it. We went to Bossman’s manager, Woman, and started to negotiate. She is a cut throat business woman, and the talks were contentious. In the end, we have a match signed, on April 13, in Denver, the Bossman will defend the United States Title against Dustin Rhodes. The real winners here are the fans.”
Lowrance, “What a night it’s going to be. If you have tickets great, if not, order this on pay per view.”
Match #4
Billy Black vs. Rex King
The high flying Black gets better and better each time out. Referee Billy Silverman calls for the bell and we are underway. King is a fine young wrestler, and he holds his own. Black picks up the aggressiveness. He works over King, and wins with a moonsault.
Winner- Billy Black
Match #5
The Russian Invader w/Ivan Koloff vs. Koko B. Ware
Koloff has brought the massive masked Russian in to aid in his war with the Ultimate Warrior. The odds are stacked against the fan favorite. The Invader attacks Koko at the bell. He punches and stomps away, and Koko is in trouble. Ware makes a brief comeback, but the masked man is too much. He gets Koko up in the back breaker, and the “Birdman” submits.
Winner- The Russian Invader
Marc Lowrance is with the Bossman, Mr. Hughes and Woman.
Lowrance, “With me are Woman and two of her monsters. The Bossman is being forced to defend the U.S. Title against Dustin Rhodes at ‘Spring Stampede”. You can’t be happy with that.”
Woman, “You’re right Marc. We didn’t want Bossman to be in the ring with poor Dustin.”
Lowrance, “Really?”
Woman, “Poor little Dustin, I’m afraid he’s going to get hurt. We all have hearts, Dustin is a cute kid, but Bossman is going to destroy him. I hate to do this, but we need to make sure this is the only time Dustin will be in there with Bossman. It’s going to be a tough lesson.”
Lowrance, “Woman is very confident, but I don’t think it will be that easy.”
Match #6
The Bossman and Mr. Hughes w/Woman vs. Charlie Norris and Dancing Wolf
Woman has two monsters, and they are very dangerous. Norris and Dancing Wolf might be in trouble. Hughes starts with Norris. “The Big Cat” is a strong acquisition for Woman. Hughes dishes out punishment. Norris tries to fight back. He gets in a few shots, but Hughes recovers. He tags in the Bossman. He is vicious. He punishes Norris, and tosses him into the corner. Dancing Wolf tags in. Bossman is on a roll. He works over Wolf, and wins with the Bubba slam. Bossman is going to be a challenge for Dustin.
Winners- The Bossman and Mr. Hughes
Marc Lowrance is with The Patriot.
Lowrance, “With me is the man who will challenge Yokozuna for the World Title at ‘Spring Stampede’. Patriot, you are on top of your game, but Yokozuna is huge, and vicious.”
Patriot, “Marc, I realize that. No one says that this will be easy, but nothing worth it is ever easy. Fuji likes to run down Americans, and I’m a proud American. I’m doing this for every man, woman, and child in this country. The World Title shouldn’t be in the hands of people like this. I’m going to win the title, but it won’t belong to me, it will belong to America!”
Lowrance, “It won’t be easy, but if anyone can do it, the Patriot can.”
Match #7
Al Perez w/Jimmy Hart vs. The Patriot
The Patriot is taking a big chance stepping into the ring with Perez this close to “Spring Stampede”. The bell rings and we are underway. Both men are very skilled wrestlers, and they show it. They exchange holds and counter holds. Perez gets a neat fall with a cradle. The Patriot counters with a backslide. Referee Billy Silverman counts two, but Perez escapes. Things begin to go the way of the masked man. Perez gets frustrated, and goes to some underhanded tactics. The Patriot is ready for it, and hits the Patriot missile for the win. As Silverman raises the masked man’s hand, Yokozuna hits the ring. He jumps the Patriot from behind and dishes out punishment. The Patriot fights back. Now the Champion is in trouble. The Patriot goes to the top rope, and hits the Patriot missile. Yokozuna staggers, he almost goes down, but Fuji gets him out of the ring. The Challenger stands in the middle of the ring, and beckons Yokozuna to come back.
Winner- The Patriot
Mike Tenay and Dusty Rhodes close the show.
Tenay, “Dusty, the Patriot is ready!”
Rhodes, “Iron Mike, the Dream predicts a new champion at ‘Spring Stampede’!”
