Mike Tenay and Dusty Rhodes open the program.
Tenay, “Fans, ‘Spring Stampede” is a couple of weeks away. Tonight we will talk more about the big show. We have more matches to add. We also have new wrestlers debuting tonight, and we have a great six man main event.”
Rhodes, “WWA is where it’s at baaay bee!”
Match #1
Wild Bill Irwin vs. Rex King
The tough veteran from Minnesota opens the show. King is a talented youngster. Irwin is frustrated. He tries to rough up King, and Rex is in trouble. The match is very close, and both men have their chances, but Irwin wins with a big boot.
Winner- Wild Bill Irwin
Match #2
The Intergalactic Warriors vs. The Assassins
The lights go out, and the laser show starts. The big Intergalactic Warriors come down the aisle. The mysterious masked team waits in the ring. Big Titan opens the match with Assassin I. He hammers away at the masked man. The Gladiator tags in and continues the assault. Assassin II tries his hand, but is no match for the Gladiator’s power bomb. The Warriors are ready the Champions.
Winners- The Intergalactic Warriors
Match #3
Bobby Duncum Jr. vs. Tito Santana
This should be a very good one. Both men exchange holds and counter holds. Duncum gets a two count, but Tito kicks out. Santana picks up the pace. The action is very exciting, and the crowd is into it. Finally, Tito hits the flying forearm for the win.
Winner- Tito Santana
Marc Lowrance is with Woman. She has the Bossman, and surprisingly, Mr. Hughes.
Lowrance, “Woman, we know the Bossman, but what is Mr. Hughes doing here?”
Woman, “Oh Marc, I see the way you, and other men, look at me. I needed a bodyguard, and there is no one better than the ‘Big Cat’.”
Lowrance, “That makes you even more formidable.”
Woman, “I’m not done. I have another new man. This man was one of the hottest stars in the business, and then the fans turned their backs on him. Now he’s out for revenge.”
Billy Jack Haynes walks out.
Lowrance, “Billy Jack Haynes?! We haven’t heard anything from you in several years!”
Haynes, “That’s right! Because the so called stars of wrestling had me blackballed, the Hulk Hogans, the Von Erichs, and others, were jealous, and had me reduced to wrestling on small shows back on Oregon, well now I’m back on the big time, and a lot of people are going to pay!”
Woman, “Marc, you know I always get my man.”
Lowrance, “That you do. I’m just getting word that Billy Jack Haynes will be in our next match.”
Match #4
Billy Jack Haynes w/Woman and Mr. Hughes vs. Johnny Ace
Haynes returns to the “Big Leagues”. He seems very angry, and he shows it in the ring. He attacks Ace before the bell and dishes out punishment. Woman cheers him on from ringside. Ace starts to rally, but Haynes is too much. He slaps on the full Nelson. Ace fights it, but he has to submit. Haynes refuses to release the hold. Referee Billy Silverman warns Haynes, finally Billy releases the hold. Woman has another monster on her hands.
Winner- Billy Jack Haynes
Match #5
The Patriot vs. Joe Gomez
The fans love the Patriot. There are a lot of experts predicting he will defeat Yokozuna for the World Title at Spring Stampede. Gomez is an up and comer, but the Patriot is on a roll. The masked man starts fast. He moves quickly, and smoothly. He goes for a sleeper, but Gomez grabs the ropes. Joe tries to rough up the Patriot, but the masked man is too much. He hits the Patriot missile for the win.
Winner- The Patriot
Marc Lowrance is seated in the studio.
Lowrance, “Fans we are about 10 days away from ‘Spring Stampede”. The McNicholls Sports Arena is sold out, but remember, you can order this show on pay per view. Contact your local cable provider for more information. Let’s talk about what we will see.
The World Tag Team Championship is on the line as Jimmy Hart’s T-Rex Brothers will defend against the Intergalactic Warriors.
The Western States Title is up for grabs as Big John Hawk defends against Kevin Von Erich.
The Mexican “Lucha Libre” Star, Konan, will be in action.
We can add two more matches tonight. Last week, we heard Roddy Piper issue an open challenge for anyone to wrestle him. Well, this man accepted the challenge.”
We see Greg Valentine.
Valentine, “Piper! You still got a big mouth! A long time ago I almost tore your ear off, and ended your career, well I’m ready to finish the job. I’m coming to Denver to teach you the lesson of a lifetime!”
We go back to Lowrance.
Lowrance, “Greg Valentine vs. Roddy Piper, one of the great feuds of the 80’s returns in the WWA.
In another match that should be an all out brawl, Krusher Khruchev, with Ivan Koloff, meets the Ultimate Warrior.
Finally, we know what the main event will be. The World Title is on the line, Yokozuna, with Mr. Fuji, defends against the ‘Pride of America’, the Patriot. I, for one, can’t wait for this one.

Dustin Rhodes vs. Joel Deaton
Dustin takes on the Outlaw. Rhodes wants a shot at the Bossman, and the United States Title. He can’t overlook Deaton. As predicted, Joel starts quickly. He goes right after Dustin. Rhodes fires back and we have a knock down, drag out, affair. Deaton gets in several cheap shots, but Rhodes recovers, and wins with a bulldog. After referee Chad Patton raises Rhodes’ hand, Dustin takes the mic.
Rhodes, “JJ Dillon, I know you’re in the back. I’d like you to comes to the ring.”
WWA President James J. Dillon comes to the ring.
Rhodes, “Mr. Dillon, I’ll get right to the point. I want a shot at the Bossman, and the US Title, and I want it, in Denver, at ‘Spring Stampede”.
Dillon takes the mic.
Dillon, “Well, Mr. Rhodes, you are the number one contender, you don’t have a match at ‘Spring Stampede’, and neither does the Bossman. I think it’s a fantastic idea. I will take this to the championship committee this week, and I’ll have an answer for you next week.”
Rhodes, “The answer better be yes. Bossman, I’m coming for you!”

Lowrance, “Fans, I know many of you are getting very excited about the WWA’s partnership with Western States Wrestling. The upstart promotion, based in my old hometown Dallas, is the fastest growing promotion in wrestling. Big John Hawk, the Western States Champion, has defended his title in the WWA. Well, Texas wrestling is known for one thing, and that’s six man tag team action. That hasn’t changed. This past week, in Albuquerque, Nm, Western States crowned Six Man Tag Team Champions. They are the Bruise Brothers, and ‘Prime Time’ Brian Lee. These three big men will be tough to beat, but you can judge for yourselves, they will be in our main event tonight, and that match is next.”

Western States Six Man Championship
The Bruise Brothers and “Prime Time” Brian Lee (Champions) vs. Iceman King Parsons, Brickhouse Brown, and Jimmy Snuka
This will be a wild one. The Champions are three rugged brawlers. Parsons and Brown have been a very successful tag team, and tonight, the legendary ‘Superfly’ teams with them. Ron Harris opens with the Iceman. The man from St. Louis uses his speed to frustrate Harris. The big man gets in a few shots, but finally tags in Lee. Brian is not quite as big as the Bruise Brothers, but he is just as dangerous. He rallies his team, and now Parsons is in trouble. Ice is able to tag in Brown. Brickhouse will not back down from anyone. He and Lee go toe to toe. Lee tags in Don Harris, and the other twin goes to work. Finally, Snuka tags in. The crowd still loves the legend. He and Don go at it. Finally, Harris hits a powerslam for the win. This team takes I’s place in the long line of rugged six man teams in the west.
Winners- The Bruise Brothers and Brian Lee

Tenay, “Dusty, the pay per view is less than two weeks away. Things are getting hit!”
Rhodes, “You can say that again Iron Mike! Things are getting hot for the Bossman! He’s have to put that title on the line against my son, and you know, when the Rhodes family are in the spotlight, we come through! Dustin will be the champion! Take it to the bank baby!”
Tenay, “We will find out about that match next week. What a main event we have for you on ‘Monday Night Thunder”. The Patriot will meet, Jimmy Hart’s man, Al Perez. Don’t miss this one.”
