We start off on an establishing shot of the packed house at Center Stage. Pyro goes off and then, we go to our announce team at ringside...
TONY: Welcome to World Championship Wrestling on TBS! The superstars of WCW are here this week! Ricky “the Dragon” Steamboat will defend his United States Title against Bunkhouse Buck of Col. Robert Parker’s Stud Stable!
LARRY: Ricky Steamboat had better concentrate on his opponent today and not look ahead to the Texas Death match with Rick Rude!
JESSE: We don’t always agree, Larry, but you nailed it that time! Buck is tough as nails! We might see a new US Champion here this week!
TONY: It’s a historic program this week because Ric Flair returns to the ring! He’ll see tag team action with Arn Anderson as his partner!
LARRY: Last week, Ric cancelled “A Flair For The Gold” and rededicated himself to being a professional wrestling. I personally think it was a great move!
JESSE: Ric is the greatest of all time, but I worry about ring rust. He’s coming off a long layoff, ya know!
TONY: Our first match is in the ring!
Meng (w/Colonel Robert Parker) vs. Eric Spraccia: The brute from Tonga is at his best here today. He uses his martial arts skill to take his opponent apart before finishing him with the Tongan Death Grip.
WINNER: MENG
JESSE: You’ve not seen the last of Colonel Parker on this week’s show! HE told me earlier that this will be a big day for the Stud Stable!

GENE: I’m here with WCW Commisioner Nick Bockwinkle. Commissioner, SuperBrawl comes to PPV on march 31 at 8 PM! It will originate from the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit!
NICK: Last week, I announced that Vader would defend the WCW World Championship against Sting and Sid Vicious in a Triangle Match! Also, Ricky “the Drgaon” Steamboat will defend his US Title against Ravishing Rick Rude in a Texas Death Match.
Today, I have more matches to announce:
Cactus Jack, Kevin Sullivan, & Maxx Payne vs. Meng, Bunkhouse Buck, & Mean Mike Enos
WCW World Tag Team Title Match: Rick & Scott Steiner vs. the Road Warriors
World TV Title Match: Johnny B. Badd vs. Lord Steven Regal
Also, last week, Ric Flair and Arn Anderson challenged Paul Orndorff to find a partner and take them on in a tag team match. I’m still waiting to hear from Paul Orndorff. HE’s scheduled to appear later on this program. Hopefully, he can shed some light on the situation at that time.
GENE: Wow! If you are in the Detroit area, call the box office about ticket availability! Everywhere else in the country, call you cable provider immediately!

GENE: I’m standing by with Colonel Robert Parker! Colonel, I understand that you have a major announcement to make at this time!
PARKER: Why, yes, I do, Mean Gene! Last week, I saw Hawk and Animal and the Steiner boys out here arguing about who the #1 tag team should be! Well, it made me nauseous, Gene! Because I have put together an incredible team! These gentlemen have the experience, the teamwork, and they are tougher than nails! Gene, you know ‘em well! They are Dick Slater & Dick Murdocch. Known collectively as the Hardline Collection Agency! You can just call ‘em….
THE HARDLINERS!!!
GENE: Dick Murdoch, great to see you again! I think the last time was Green Bay a few years back…
MURDOCH: I got the toughest, nastiest partner I could find! Now, we want the World Tag Team belts!
SLATER: It doesn’t matter! Steiners! Road Warriors! Any team they can put in front of us! Even those pretty boys they had out here a few minutes ago! Just give us some competition, WCW!
PARKER: That’s right! All my Hardliners ask is a little bit of competition! We ain’t afraid to take on anybody, anywhere! Just bring it on, boys! And what are you doin’ out here!
The American Males are here!
MARCUS: Gene, we apologize for interrupting. We know that it’s not our time, but these guys mentioned our names!
SCOTTY: OK, you guys want competition? We’d be happy to wrestle you guys at SuperBrawl!
MURDOCH: Son, are sure that you wanna do that?
SLATER: The girls might not like what your faces look like after you wrestle us!
PARKER: Well, you boys ain’t the Steiners or the Warriors, but I guess we can show WCW what we can do against you!
SLATER: Just make sure that your Blue Cross is paid up!
MARCUS: If you’re trying to intimidate us, it’s not working! We don’t scare that easy!
GENE: Ladies and gentleman, at this time, my colleague, Michael Hayes is standing by with a special guest!
HAYES: I’m here with Sheri Martel! Sheri, you’ve been here at Centr Stage for the past two weeks. You’ve been watching the matches very closely. You’re even taking notes on what you see! Fans are wondering what you’re up to here in WCW…
SHERI: Michael, darling, I’m looking for a man! He’s got to be a championship level wrestler and he’s got to be sexy! Somebody who I can help rise to the top!
HAYES: Makes me sorry that I retired, Sheri!
SHERI: You snooze, you lose, PS!
HAYES: Have you seen anybody who impresses you so far?
SHERI: Oh, you know it, darling! The very best are here in WCW! I’ll find the right man and we’ll be on top before you know it!
HAYES: Wow! Some guys have all the luck! Stay tuned to WCW to see who Sheri’s new man will be!

GENE: I’m joined by Kevin Sullivan! Kevin, congratulations on a big win over Lord Steven Regal last week! And you can’t rest on your laurels because Nick Bockwinkel announced a big six man tag team match for SuperBrawl!
SULLIVAN: Well, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, Mean Gene, but Cactus Jack will not be at SuperBrawl!
GENE: What? Oh. No, that’s terrible news! What happened?
SULLIVAN: The Stud Stable attacked him recently and Cactus will be in the hospital for a few weeks! They attacked from behind of course and it was 4 against 1!
GENE: Do you think that Maxx Payne and yourself will be able to find a new partner?
SULLIVAN: I introduced a man to WCW quite some time ago. He’s been in hiding and he’s been in intensive training. Stud Stable, you accomplished nothing! At SuperBrawl, you will have to deal with the fury of

SID: What a load of crap, Mean Gene! How can I not be the #1 contender? Did you see that? Under two minutes! Since I arrived in WCW, I have been the dominant force! I’ve been beating everybody in record time! Where is Nick Bockwinkel? I deserve a one on one match with Vader for the title! Sting has no right to be in that match!
Nick Bockwinkel arrives!
BOCKWINKEL: I figured that somebody wouls complain about the ruling of the committee, so I have prepared a case for the inclusion of both challengers. Yes, Mr> Vicious, you have been very impressive, but Sting has also been very impressive. If one match sums it all up, it’s this match with the great Antonio Inoki of Japan. Roll that tape, please!
VIDEO:
Antonio Inoki vs. Sting(courtesy New Japan Wrestling TV, 1/27/94): JOINED IN PROGRESS:
Inoki battles back, he gets Sting on the mat, and works him over, but Sting again goes back to the leg, and turns the tables. In the end, Sting sends Inoki into the corner, and connects with the Stinger Splash! From there, Sting slaps on the Scorpion Deathlock in the middle of the ring and Inoki submits!!!! Sting has forced the legendary Antonio Inoki to submit!!!!
Sting helps Inoki up afterwards, and after the decision is announced, the two men shake hands!
VICIOUS: So what? Wasn’t that part of Inoki’s retirement tour? Inoki is yesterday’s news! I’m the hottest thing in WCW! Sting doesn’t belong in that World Title match!
BOCKWINKEL: Yes, Inoki will retire this year, but he is still a top 5 contender, regardless, and one of the all time greats. You might be unimpressed, but the Committee doesn’t share your view, Mr. Vicious! The Triangle match remains on the card at SuperBrawl!
VICIOUS: It really doesn’t matter who you put in that ring, Sid Vicious will walk out as WCW World Champion!
GENE: Last week, Ric Flair and Arn Anderson challenged “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff to find a partner and wrestle them at SuperBrawl. Orndorff made comments earlier this week!

I accept your challenge! I’ve found a partner! When you two see who my partner is, your eyes will pop out of your heads! He’s a main event wrestler! He’s not as tough or as strong as me, but he is tough enough to get the job done! His body isn’t quite as good as mine, but that’s not a big deal! Nobody else looks this good! (flexes muscles) That’s too much to expect! Nature Boy, I dropped you on your head! Arn, at SuperBrawl, I’ll do the same to you! You better be ready because my partner and me are gonna give you two a wrestling lesson at SuperBrawl!
