Tenay, “Welcome to ‘Monday Night Thunder’! Dusty, what a night it’s going to be. What a main event, what a tag team match!”
Rhodes, “Iron Mike, Monday nights are the hottest nights in wrestling, and what a main event!”
Tenay, “The U.S. Champion, the Bossman, teams with Sabu to take on Sam Houston, and Dustin Rhodes, and the most interesting part may be the two women.”
Rhodes, “Devil Woman on one side, the Perfect 10, Baby Doll, on the other. The Dream knows them both, and they both will get involved.”
Tenay, “Let’s get things started!”
Match #1
Lanny Poffo vs. Don Muraco
Two veterans open the contest. Lanny still has speed and athleticism. He flys around the ring, and controls the early action. Muraco finally catches Poffo and starts to rough him up. Now Lanny is in trouble. Muraco continues to use his size and strength to take over. He wins with Hawai’ian hammer.
Winner- Don Muraco
Match #2
Billy Black vs. Rex King
Two evenly matched, talented, wrestlers meet in this one. Black starts quickly. He is a rugged cowboy, and he dishes out punishment. King won’t back down. He fires back, and now Rex has the edge. King goes for the sleeper, but Black gets to the ropes. We go back and forth until Black hits a moonsault for the win.
Winner- Billy Black
Match #3
Mr. Hughes vs. Jimmy Jack Funk
Two rugged brawlers meet here. This isn’t pretty, but it’s exciting. Both men throw big haymakers, and neither takes a step backwards. Things begin to go JJ’s way, and Mr. Hughes is backed into the corner. The Big Cat fights his way out of the corner. The intensity of the match increases. Both men end up on the arena floor. Referee Chad Patton begins to count. He reaches 10, both men are counted out.
Result- Double Count Out
Marc Lowrance is seated in the studio.
Lowrance, “Fans, we are all gearing up for ‘Spring Stampede’. We will be at the McNicholls Sports Arena in Denver, CO. The buzz about this show is getting louder and louder. I want to show you a video from ‘Western States Wrestling’. It’s from a venue I am very familiar with, the Sportatorium in Dallas, TX. You will hear Craig Johnson on the call.”
We see a six man tag team match from Western States Wrestling. The Western States Champion, Big John Hawk teams with Wild Bill Irwin and the One Man Gang. They are taking on Iceman King Parsons, Brickhouse Brown, and Kevin Von Erich. The action is fast and furious, and in the confusion, Kevin hits a flying body press on Hawk, and referee Rick Hazzard counts the fall. Kevin Von Erich has pinned the champion!
Lowrance, “Because of this the WWA and Western States Wrestling have gotten together and signed a title match for Spring Stampede, Kevin Von Erich will face the Western States Champion Big John Hawk.
Last week we learned that the World Tag Team Champions, the T-Rex Brothers, would defend the titles against the intergalactic Warriors.
We also learned that the World Title will be on the line. Yokozuna will defend against this man.”
We see the Patriot in an interview area.
Patriot, “Yokozuna, you come to this country, and begin to destroy American wrestlers. Well, those represent our country, but no one represents America more than the Patriot! The Rocky Mountains are some of the most beautiful landmarks of our country, and I’m coming to Denver to teach you a good, old, American lesson!”
Lowrance, “It looks like the Patriot is ready. He is in our next match.”

The Patriot vs. “Hollywood” John Tatum
The popular masked man takes on the flamboyant Tatum. Johnny stalls, and tries to frustrate the Patriot. Finally the masked man gets hold of him, and starts to dish out punishment. Tatum escapes to the floor, but the Patriot follows him. They work their way back to the ring. Tatum gets in a few cheap shots, but the Patriot wins with the Patriot missile. He looks ready for the champion.
Winner- The Patriot

“Superfly” Jimmy Snuka vs. King Kong Bundy w/Jimmy Hart
Two of the biggest stars of ten years ago do battle. Snuka starts quickly. Bundy is in early trouble. Snuka chops away at the big man. Bundy wobbles, but he doesn’t go down. Hart looks worried. He shouts instructions, and Bundy rallies. He works over Snuka. Bundy hits the Avalanche. He covers Snuka and demands a five count. Bundy looks unbeatable.
Winner- King Kong Bundy
Marc Lowrance is with Woman, the Bossman, and Kama.
Lowrance, “With me are Women, and her men who will be in tonight’s main event. The US Champion, the Bossman, and Sabu meet Dustin Rhodes, and Sam Houston. Woman, this will be a test for your men.”
Woman, “Oh Marc, you’re so cute. Look at my men. The Bossman is the US Champion, and Kama is the most dangerous wrestler in the world. Dustin Rhodes, Sam Houston, you’re night is going to end badly, and Baby Doll, you’re no perfect 10, a one on a good night, that’s really dark.”
Lowrance, “Woman is very confident.”

Iceman King Parsons and Brickhouse Brown vs. The Angel of Death and Gangrel
The mysterious Angel of Death and Gangrel make a good team. The popular Parsons and Brown have looked very good. AoD starts with Brown. The Angel pounds away at Brick. Brown is in trouble. Gangrel tags in, and helps his partner work over Brown. Brickhouse escapes and tags in Parsons. Iceman cleans house. AoD and Gangrel take to the floor to regroup. The match continues until I mean hits the butt bump on Gangrel for the win.
Winners- Iceman King Parsons and Brickhouse Brown
Marc Lowrance is with Dustin Rhodes, Baby Doll, and Sam Houston.
Lowrance, “With are three Texans. Tonight, Dustin Rhodes and Sam Houston with the ‘Perfect 10’, Baby Doll, take on Women’s tag team. Baby Doll, are your men ready?”
Baby Doll, “Look at my men, just like you said, we are all tough Texans. Woman, if you stick your nose into things, I’m going to kick your skinny butt!”
Lowrance, “Dustin, I know you want a piece of the Bossman.”
Rhodes, “Marc, the Bossman is the US Champion, and I want to change that.”
Lowrance, “Our main event is next.”

The Bossman, and Sabu w/Woman vs. Dustin Rhodes, and Sam Houston w/Baby Doll
There is great intensity in the arena. Chad Patton is your referee. The bell rings and the Bossman starts with Rhodes. Both men lock up. Dustin is hot on the trail of the champion. The Texan goes to work. He has Bossman in trouble. Woman looks worried. Bossman fights his way out of the corner. He shoots Dustin into the ropes, and goes for a clothesline. Dustin Ducks it, and comes off the ropes and hits one of his own. The Bossman staggers, but does not go down. Rhodes tags in Houston, and he goes to work. Sabu tags in. The man from Bombay goes to work. He traps Houston in the corner. Sam is able to fight back, and the crowd goes crazy. Woman climbs up on the ring apron. She is followed by Baby Doll. The two ladies start to brawl. Houston tries to come to Baby Doll’s aid. This distracts him, and Sabu rolls him up for the pin. Houston made a big mistake, and cost his team.
Winners- The Bossman and Sabu

Tenay, “Sam Houston made a big mistake.”
Rhodes, “Those Devil Women, you can’t trust them!”
