Tenay, “Fans, welcome to the debut episode of ‘Monday Night Thunder’! Dream we were in Prime Time!”
Rhodes, “That’s right Iron Mike, prime time if you weel!”
Tenay, “We have a great card for you tonight. The new World Champion, Yokozuna, defends the title against the ‘Birdman’ Koko B. Ware.”
Rhodes, “And, who is in the opening match?”
Tenay, “You know him well, your son, Dustin Rhodes. Let’s go to the ring.”
Match #1
Dustin Rhodes vs.The Angel of Death
The fans love the second generation star from Texas. The Angel will be a stoff test. Both men slug it out early. AoD tries to rough up Dustin, but he fights back. Rhodes takes over and wins with a bulldog. Dustin is ready for the Bossman.

The Simpson Brothers vs. Joel Deaton and Billy Black
The popular South Africans take on the rugged outlaws. The action is fast paced. Both teams tag in and out. Deaton and Black trap Shaun in the corner. They double team him, and the younger Simpson is in trouble. Shaun escapes and tags in his older brother. Steve goes to work. He goes after each outlaw. Shaun joins the fight, and chaos ensues. In the confusion, Steve rolls up Deaton. Referee James Beard counts the fall. Deaton and Black argue that Deaton was not the legal man. They may be right.

Non Title Match
The Bossman (United States Champion) w/Woman vs. Jimmy Snuka
The Bossman, from Cobb County, GA, has defended the U.S. nightly, and has been very impressive. The veteran “Superfly” is still a tough veteran. Snuka starts quickly. The fans still love him. He has the Bossman in retreat. Woman shouts instructions from ringside. The former prison guard takes over. He works over Jimmy, and wins with the Bubba slam.
Winner- The Bossman
Marc Lowrance is seated in the studio.
Lowrance, “Welcome fans. We have a special treat for you tonight. The Western States Wrestling Association has become an affiliate of the WWA. Big John Hawk has held the Western States Title for several weeks now. Tonight, on ‘Monday Night Thunder’, Hawk will defend the title against this man.”
We see Kevin Von Erich in an interview area.
Kevin, “Hawk, you’re big and strong. You won that title in Texas, and that gets to me. Texas, and the west, belongs to the Von Erichs. I’ve got one last run in me, and I want the Western States Title.”
Lowrance, “Hawk vs. Kevin is next.

Western States Championship
Big John Hawk (Champion) vs. Kevin Von Erich
The big youngster takes on the veteran from Dallas. Kevin starts fast. He is still on top of his game. He uses his quickness to control the action. Kevin lands a drop kick that stuns Hawk, but he doesn’t go down. Kevin clamps on sleep hold. Hawk backs Kevin into the corner, and he releases the hold. Hawk starts to rough up Kevin. Von Erich fights back. Both men end up brawling on the floor. Referee Billy Silverman’s count reaches 10. Both men are counted out.
Result- Double Count Out

Al Perez w/Jimmy Hart vs. Johnny Ace
Hart has brought the skilled Perez to the WWA. This should be a good contest. Both men exchange holds and counter holds. Perez is very skilled, but Ace matches him move for move. Jimmy Hart shouts instructions from ringside. Both men have their chances. Hart is able to distract Ace, and Perez rolls him up. Referee Chad Patton counts the fall. Ace argues, but to no avail.
Winner- Al Perez
We see a shot of the Rocky Mountains. We hear a voiceover.

We now see a dark stage. The lights come out, and we see the ‘Piper’s Pit’ set. Roddy Piper is seated on the set.
Piper, ”People keep asking, where’s the ‘Pit’? Is it coming back? I never lie to the fans. I shoot straight. The Pit isn’t coming back. I don’t have it anymore, I’m retiring.”
Piper drops his head. Roddy raises his heat, and stands up.
Piper, “I’m retiring from the Pit, but not the ring. Next week, RP is coming back, and I’m going to be in the ring, fighting like I always do! Wrestling is about to change!”

The Intergalactic Warriors vs. Joe Gomez and Killer Brooks
The lights go out, and the laser lights start. Big Titan and the Gladiator come to the ring. They are the number one contenders for the World Tag Team Championship. Big Titan starts with Gomez. Titan is exactly that, a big Titan. He uses his strength to control the action. The young Gomez fights back. He tags in Brooks. The Waxahachie, TX veteran pulls out all his dirty tricks. The Gladiator tags in. The big, athletic, youngster takes over and wins with a powerslam. These two are legitimate.

Marc Lowrance is with World Champion Yokozuna and Mr. Fuji.
Lowrance, “With me is the World Champion and his manager. Mr. Fuji, Yokozuna beat Hulk Hogan, and the former Champion has not been seen since. A lot of men are gunning for that title.”
Fuji, “Oh yes, many people want Yokozuna’s title. Let them try. Yokozuna, biggest man in wrestling is his unbeatable. Bring them on, Yokozuna will destroy anyone in our path. Fuji has brought the monster in, we will not lose.”
Lowrance, “Yokozuna meets Koko B. Ware in our main event…next.”

World Championship
Yokozuna (Champion) w/Mr. Fuji vs. Koko B. Ware
Ware and referee James Beard wait in the ring. We hear the Japanese wind chimes and the World Champion comes to the ring. Yokozuna does the salt ceremony. He is massive. Koko better use his speed. Beard calls for the bell, and we are underway. Koko is able to hit and move, and the crowd loves it. Koko goes for a drop kick. It stuns the big man, but he doesn’t go down. Koko goes for a second one. Yokozuna blocks it. Koko crashes to the mat. Now the Champion is in control. He chops away and Ware is in trouble. Yokozuna slams Koko, and climbs to the second rope. He hits the Banzai drop. Beard counts the fall. Oh no, Yokozuna goes back to the ropes, and hits another one. Suddenly, the Patriot hits the ring. He attacks Yokozuna. We have a brawl on our hands. Yoko rolls out of the ring. The masked man calls for Yokozuna to come back in the ring, but he declines.
Winner- Yokozuna

Tenay, “Dream, the Patriot has challenged the Champion.”
Rhodes, “Iron Mike, the Patriot standing up for America! I can’t wait to see this!”
Tenay, “And what about this, Roddy Piper will be here, in the ring next week!”
Rhodes, “I can’t wait, what a show it’s going to be!”
Tenay, “‘Monday Night Thunder’ is in the air, don’t miss a minute of the action!”
