He says that his baby brother has informed the family that, after last week, he’ll never have anything to do with professional wrestling again! Kerry says that this thing between he and Kerry has been brewing for yearsa and finally, it exploded! Kevin says they have both always wondered which Von Erich was the best and tomorrow night, they find out! Dad will be there, in a netral corner, and even he’ll find out! And I won’t let you beat me with Dad there at ringside! I’m sorry that this has hurt the family, but I’m not sorry that we’re finally gonna see who is the better man! And all of you great fans are going to see a match that you’ll never forget! Boni asks if it’s really worth it? Kerry very cryptically says, “Ask me tomorrow night, after the match!”
Les Thatcher says that he has a rather odd Personality Profile. Tonight’s subject recently announced his impending retirement. As far he knows, this man has not signed a contract to appear in the UWA. However, he did want to speak on tonight’s show and he is a prominent figure in our sport, so Les introduces Play boy Gary Hart. As usual. Les runs down Hart’s accomplishments. Then, there’s a clip from a press conference where hart announced that he would retire in 1990. Les asls Hart if he’s retiring, and he’s not contracted to the UWA, why did he want to be on UWA FURY tonight? Hart says it’s very simple; He has two major goals in his career: to eliminate Dusty Rhodes and Fritz Von Erich from this great sport! That now extends to Dusty’s boy and Fritz’s kids. He retired Fritz back in 1982! So, he has unfinished business! Hart says he has been working behind the scenes in the UWA and manipulating things for several months! From looking at the card for the next PPV, it appears that everything will be taken care of by January 2nd and he’ll be able to retire in peace! However, if something unexpected happens at NEW YEAR’S NIGHTMARE, you can expect to see him here in the UWA shortly afterward!
Lance Russell points out that this could be your last chance to see Dusty Rhodes on UWA FURY as Dusty wrestles Hiroshi Hase. The Dream is victorious as he gets the submission with a figure four leglock.
Dusty does a postmatch interview and says that he’ll be back here on UWA FURY next week and Dustin will, too,,, with a head full of the purdiest curly blonde hair that you’ve ever seen...outside of Dusty’s of course!
Eddy Guerrero and Tito Santana take on World Junior Heavyweight Champion Jushin Liger and Hiro Saito. This is a fun, fast paced match. Guerrero shows that he’s ready for his title shot as he pins Liger after the three amigos. The fans give both teams a standing O as Eddy makes the belt around the waist gesture!
In a preview of tomorrow’s World Tag Team Title match, Bobby Fulton takes on Jimmy Golden. Both Roberet Fuller and Tommy Rogers end up coming down and the match turns into an all out brawl that ends when the Fantastics dropkick Fuller and Golden out of the ring! The Fantastics strut and the fans give them a HUGE pop!
UWA President Cowboy Bill Watts joins the announce team and they run down tomorrow’s PPV!
