Mike Tenay and Dusty Rhodes open the show.
Tenay, “Dusty, October is almost over, and Thanksgiving is almost upon us, that means ‘Thanksgiving Thunder’.”
Rhodes, “Iron Mike, the buildup is going to be fantastic! The Dream, and his man, are ready baby!”
Tenay, “No hint as to who it is?”
Rhodes, “Nope!”
Tenay, “Alright, what a show we have for you. We will add more matches to ‘Thanksgiving Thunder’, we have a new champion to introduce, we have a great main event, and Jimmy Hart and the One Man Gang will be in Piper’s Pit! Let’s go to Marc Lowrance in the ring.”
Match #1
Vladimir Koloff w/Ivan Koloff vs. Iceman King Parsons
Ivan leads his massive nephew to the ring. Vladimir has his eyes on the Ultimate Warrior. They will meet at “Thanksgiving Thunder”. Parsons starts fast. He hits a moves and Koloff is frustrated. Ivan calls him to the floor and confers with the younger Russian. Koloff returns to the ring and dishes out punishment. Parsons puts up a good fight, but Koloff hits the Russian sickle for the win.
Winner- Vladimir Koloff
Match #2
Jimmy Jack Funk vs Black Bart
Two rough and rugged cowboys meet. There will be very few wrestling moves. Both men begin by slugging it out. Neither man takes a step back. Bart backs JJ into the corner, but Funk tights his way out. The pier six brawl ends when Funk gets Bart up for the shoulder breaker. A very entertaining brawl.
Winner- Jimmy Jack Funk
Marc Lowrance is with Big John Hawk. Hawk holds the Western States Title.
Lowrance, “Last week, in El Paso, TX, a tournament was held to crown the Western States Heavyweight Champion. Big John Hawk, you made it through the tournament, and you are the champion.”
Hawk, “That’s right Lowrance! A real Texan won the tournament in Texas. I beat three other men, and I’m the Champion! And I’m not giving this up without a fight!”
Lowrance, “You will be defending that title at ‘Thanksgiving Thunder’ against an opponent to be named. You know it will be against someone good.”
Hawk, “Bring ‘em all on! Big John Hawk is ready for anyone!”
Lowrance, “The Champion is in the ring next.”
Match #3
Non Title Match
Big John Hawk (Western States Champion) vs. Brickhouse Brown
Hawk is big and aggressive. He goes right after Brown. Brick is very strong, but Hawk has the size advantage. The Champion is wrestling with a new sense of confidence. He works over Brickhouse. Brown fights back, but not enough. Hawk wins with a clothesline.
Winner- Big John Hawk
Match #4
The Simpson Brothers vs. “Maniac” Mike Davis and “Hollywood” John Tatum
The popular South African brothers take on the veteran tag team. Davis and Shaun start the contest. “The Maniac” lives up to his name, and takes the fight to the youngster. Shaun fights back and tags in his older brother. Things begin to go Steve’s way. Tatum tags in, but Steve is on fire. He hits a flying bodypress for a popular win.
Winners- The Simpson Brothers
We see the Piper’s Pit set. Roddy Piper walks out.
Piper, “Hello everyone! RP here! Thanksgiving is coming up and that means turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, and all that good stuff. It also means WWA wrestling, and that’s the real good stuff. We know what the main event will be, old Hulk Hogan puts his title on the line in a steel cage. He’s fighting my next guest, the One Man Gang and his wimpy manager, Jimmy Hart!”
Gang and Hart come out.
Hart, “You watch it Piper, I’ll let the Gang take care of you before Thanksgiving!”
Piper, “Alright, Gang, you’re big and bad, but you ain’t Hulk Hogan!”
Hart, “That's Right, he’s better! Hogan, you’re yesterday’s news. The sport belongs to men like the Gang! In Phoenix, the Gang will be the World Champion! HAHAHAHA!”
Gang, “Hogan, you step in that cage, but you’re being carried out! Ohhhhhhh!”
Piper, “It’s going to be a good one!”
Match #5
Tito Santana vs. Bobby Duncum Jr.
This will be a good one. Two very evenly matched men do battle. The early moments are dead even. Both men get near falls, but the other kicks out. Duncum is frustrated, and tries to rough up Santana. Tito’s Latin temper explodes, and we now have a brawl. Both men end up slugging it out on the arena floor. Referee Billy Silverman’s count reaches 10. Both men are counted out.
Result- Double Count Out
Match #6
“Bad Boy” Billy Black and “Outlaw” Joel Deaton vs. B. Brian Blair and Erik Watts
The rugged team of Black and Deaton take on the popular team of Blair and Watts. Deaton and Blair open the match. They exchange holds and counter holds. Deaton roughs up Blair, but Brian fights back. The action goes back and forth. Black tags in. The high flier works over Blair. He tags in Watts. Erik fights back, and the match is very exciting. The end comes when Black climbs to the top rope and hits a moonsault and pins Watts.
Winners- Billy Black and Joel Deaton

Lowrance, “Hello fans, Thanksgiving is fast approaching, and we are headed to Phoenix for ‘Thanksgiving Thunder’. November 23, at the America West Arena. Tickets are selling fast, but you can see all the action on Pay per View. Contact your local cable provider for all the information. Here’s what you are going to see. The World Tag Team Titles are on the line, the T-Rex Brothers defend against The Patriot and Kevin Von Erich. In a grudge match, the Ultimate Warrior meets Vladimir Koloff accompanied by his Uncle Ivan. We also know that Dusty Rhodes is bringing in a surprise. Tonight, we can add three matches, the Bossman takes on Koko B. Ware, then we have two tag team matches, the Simpson Brothers meet Billy Black and Joel Deaton, and the Bruise Brothers meet Johnny Ace and Jimmy ‘Superfly’ Snuka. And in the main event, Hulk Hogan defends the World Title against the One Man Gang…inside a steel cage. What a show fans.
We can also make a big announcement. On Saturday night, October 18th, the WWA will present ‘Thunder Preview’. We will air a 90 minute program on ESPN beginning at 8:00 PM. We will have more information in the coming days.”

Ultimate Warrior vs. Angel of Death w/General Skandor Akbar
Akbar and his man wait in the ring. The music hits, and the Warrior hits the ring. Akbar and the Angel vacate the ring. Chad Patton will try to referee this one. We are underway, and the Warrior is in overdrive. He goes right after the AoD. We have a brawl. Both men throw rights and lefts. The Warrior whips the Angel into the ropes and goes for a clothesline, but AoD ducks. He comes off the other side, and Warrior hits him coming back. AoD looks very good, but the Warrior uses a press slam and a splash for the win. As Patton raises Warrior’s hand, the Koloffs hit the ring. They dish out punishment. Warrior fights back, but he’s outnumbered. It takes wrestlers from the back to separate everyone. Things just got even more intense.
Winner- The Ultimate Warrior
Mike Tenay and Dusty Rhodes close the program.
Tenay, “Dusty, there is real bad blood between Warrior and the Koloffs.”
Rhodes, “I’m rooting for the Warrior, but he’s outnumbered! I’m excited about the special show on ESPN.”
Tenay, “Well Dusty, I can tell you this, next week, we will announce the main event for the November 18 show. Don’t miss any WWA action!”
