Don Owen is in the ring.
Owen, “Welcome everyone to the Portland Special. This is one of our favorite shows to put on. You’re going to enjoy it, and we’ll have champions by the end of the night. It’s time for our first match. I don’t know how to explain this guy. People, especially the kids, like him. Weighing 228 pounds, Beetlejuice.”
Match #1
Beetlejuice vs. Jerry Lynn
The unusual Beetlejuice takes on the talented Lynn. Beetlejuice is an odd wrestler, but he is very talented. The two men quickly exchange holds and counter holds. They both gain near falls. The crowd is on the edge of their seats. Beetlejuice is able to slam Lynn and climb to the top rope. He lands a frog splash for the win. Beetlejuice is here.

Bad Company vs. The Simpson Brothers
This will be an exciting, fast paced, match. Steve starts for the Simpsons, Diamond for BC. Steve is very sharp. He whips Diamond into the ropes and clamps on the sleeper. Paul gets to the ropes and referee Sandy Barr calls for the break. Tanaka tags in. He uses his martial arts skills. Shaun tags in and the younger Simpson goes to work. The match is even. Finally, Tanaka hits a thrust kick and covers Shaun for the fall.
Winners- Bad Company

Hercules vs. Top Gun
The massive Hercules takes on the popular masked man. The bell rings and we are underway. Top Gun uses his speed and quickness. Hercules is confused, and takes to the arena floor to regroup. He returns and begins to dish out punishment. Top Gun fights back. We have a brawl on our hands. Referee Sandy Barr does his best to control the action. Finally, Hercules clamps on the full Nelson. Top Gun fights it, but he has to submit.
Winner- Hercules
Match #4
Six Man Tag Team Match
D.J. Peterson, The Trooper and The Midnight Soldier vs. Nikita Koloff, Nikolai Volkoff and Boris Zhukov w/Col DeBeers
Referee Sandy Barr will have his hands full. DeBeers insults their opponents, and tries to distract them. Peterson and Koloff open the contest. Both big men lock up. Peterson can match Koloff’s power. The “Russian Nightmare” starts to overpower Peterson. He traps him in the corner and tags is Zhukov. Boris continues the assault. Peterson fights his way out and tags in the Trooper. He is a house afire. The Trooper clears the ring. The Russians confer with DeBeers. They return to the ring, and Volkoff tags in. The Midnight Soldier enters for his team. Eventually all six men end up in the ring. In the confusion, Koloff hits the clothesline on the Soldier, the big Russian covers him, and Barr counts the fall.
Winners- Nikita Koloff, Nikolai Volkoff, and Boris Zhukov

Grappler I vs. Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka
The Grapplers have been battling Snuka and his cousin, the Tonga Kid. The bell rings and we are underway. The veteran from the Fifi Islands dishes out punishment. The masked man fires back. The match is very intense. The Grappler gains the edge with underhanded tactics. He chokes away. Referee Sandy Barr counts, and the Grappler breaks at four. He does this several times, and Snuka is in real trouble. The Sports Arena crowd gets behind the Superfly. He rallies. Snuka takes over. Suddenly, Grappler II hits the ring. The masked men double team Jimmy. Here comes the Tonga Kid and we have a pier six brawl. Barr calls for the bell. He disqualifies the Grappler.
Winner- Jimmy Snuka (Disqualification)
Intermission
Don Owen is in the ring.
Owen, “Fans, it’s been a great night so far. ‘Portland Specials’ are always exciting, and this is good, and will get even better with our last two matches. I can tell you now that we are going to have another one on October 17. It will be as good, or better, than tonight.”

Pacific Northwest Tag Team Championship
The Midnight Express w/Jim Cornette vs. Doug Furnas and Phil LaFon
Cornette grabs the mic from Don Owen.
Cornette, “Give me that, it’s not like you're going to remember anyone’s name. Furnas, LaFon, listen you two goofs, you’re fixing to get a beating! Just slink on out of the ring, and let my boys enjoy the titles!”
Furnas and LaFon start towards Cornette. Jim ducks behind his men. Furans and LaFon attack, and Cornette dives out of the ring. He doesn’t get to finish his introductions. Referee Sandy Barr gets things sorted out and it’s Furnas and Lane in the ring. Doug uses his immense power to control the early action. Lane begins to fight back. Cornette shouts instructions from ringside. Lane gains control and now Furnas is in trouble. Stan tags in Bobby, and the Huntsville, AL native goes to work. Cornette is very pleased with his men. Furnas is able to tag in LaFon. The French Canadian unleashes his temper. Now Cornette is livid. All four men end up in the ring. Referee Sandy Barr tries to get Furnas to the corner. The confusion allows Cornette to toss the tennis racket to Eaton. He smashes LaFon, and Phil goes down. Bobby tosses the racket back to Cornette and covers LaFon. Barr turns and counts the fall! The Midnight Express are the Champions! Cornette and his men celebrate. The Portland crowd is livid!

Pacific Northwest Championship
Billy Jack Haynes vs. Rip “The Crippler” Oliver
Owen, “This is the big one. Two guys that we all know are in the ring. Before we get started. We have a guest to introduce. Some of you love him, some of you don’t. It’s ‘Playboy’ Buddy Rose.”
Rose comes down the aisle. He received a mixed reaction from the crowd. Rose offers a very friendly handshake to Oliver. He returns it. Rose then walks over to Billy Jack. He offers his hand to Haynes. Billy is at the ready, and he shakes it warily. Rose then leaves the ring to the same mixed reaction.
Referee Sandy Barr calls for the bell and we are underway. Both men lock up. Haynes tosses Oliver to the mat. Rip knows he can’t match power with the big man. Oliver knows what to do. He goes to the underhanded moves. He punches and kicks. Now Rip has the advantage. He begins to choke Billy. Barr counts, but Rip breaks at four each time. Billy fires back. The crowd is solidly behind their nato e son. Oliver escapes the ring. Haynes flows him to the floor and continues the attack. He tosses Oliver back into the ring. Haynes returns to the ring and slaps on the full Nelson! Oliver fights it, but he has to submit! Billy Jack Haynes is the Pacific Northwest Champion! Wrestlers from the back fill the ring to help Billy Celebrate. Buddy Rose comes to the ring. He takes the mic from Owen.
Rose, “Billy, I came down here to congratulate you. I know you don’t trust me, and I don’t blame you, but let me ask you one thing, now that you are the Champion, who can you trust around here?”
Rose gives the mic back to Owen and leaves the ring. Billy looks confused.
