SCOTTY THE BODY (W/MISSY HYATT) VS. EL GATO BLANCO: Scotty’s masked opponent has some skill, but, as Missy cheers the Organization’s associate from ringside, the Body hits a DDT and scores a convincing win.
LES: Wrestlers under 230 pounds from around the world are constantly petitioning the UWA and President Bill Watts for opportunities to wrestle for Scotty The Body’s championship. On July 4th, at the FIRECRACKER SPECTACULAR, here on TNT at 8 PM, one of Mexico’s greatest wrestlers will challenge for the World Junior Heavyweight Title! His name is El Hijo Del Santo and as you are about to see, he is sensational!

MAGNUM: That’s big news! Scotty is gonna have his hands full at the Cow Palace!
LANCE: Sir Oliver Humperdink has already been out here with the Iron Sheik. He asked for some time on the program this week and we’ll find out what he’s up to next!

SOH stands in the ring, microphone in hand.
SOH: for all of you who saw BATTLE BOWL, you saw the dominance of my man, the Great Kokina! He is an awesome and massive individual! He stands 6’6 and weighs over 450 pounds! He cannot be defeated! He cannot be taken down! I am putting forth a challenge to any human being! He absolutely can never be bodyslammed! I realize that I once made this claim about one John Studd! John failed me! He obviously wasn’t in Kokina’s league! Now, I want you people to stand to your feet and make him welcome...THE GREAT KOKINA!!!
Kokina lumbers into the ring. He removes his traditional Samoan garb, so that he is dressed in his wrestling tights.
SOH: I understand my challenge has some takers! Step right up, lads!
Three men, dressed in wrestling gear, climb into the ring.
SOH: OK, let’s start with the runt of the litter! What is your name, son?
WRESTLER #1: Billy Joe Travis, sir!
SOH: OK, give it your all, kid!
Travis gives it a try, but doesn’t budge the Samoan superheavyweight one inch!
SOH: Pitiful! Next! OK, you look like an athlete, at least! What do you call yourself?
WRESTLER #2: I am Brick Bronsky!
SOH: Let’s see what you’ve got, Brickhead!
Bronsky gives it the old college try, but is unable to lift Kokina! Afterwards, he is holding his lowere back as he exits the ring…
SOH: Our final contestant this week and I hope you don’t embarrass yourself like these other peons! Who are you supposed to be? Flip Wilson?
WRESTLER #3: My name is Bill Tabb.
SOH: OK, take your turn, Bill!
Tabb works hard here and does manage to get Kokina off of his feet for a second, maybe two, but he fails to slam the big man!
SOH: OK, thanks for playing! No parting gifts for any of you slobs! Just remember: if at first you don’t succeed, that means you are a failure! We’ll try again next week!
MAGNUM: I don’t know if there’s anybody who can slam Kokina!

MAGNIFICENT MURACO/RICK MARTEL (W/MISSY HYATT) VS. SCOTT PUTSKI & WENDELL COOLEY: It’s a non-title match here this week and the Putski/Cooley team control much of the match. The UWA Tag Champions finally get the duke as Muraco pins Cooley to egt the win for the champs.
BONI: I’m joined by Dustin Rhodes. Dustin, we just saw the World Tag Team Champions. You have entered a tournament where the winners get a championship match at the FIRECRACKER SPECTACULAR on July 4th, here on TNT! We’re not sure who you’re teaming up with. Last week, you invited Kendall Windham to reform the Texas Broncos, has he accepted your offer?
DUSTIN: Well, Miss Boni, I reckon you’ll have to wait and see! I do wanna to wish my buddy Tommy Rogers a quick recovery from his neck injury and say that I am very confident that I will be part of the next World Tag Team Champions!
BONI: Bobby Fulton has joined us!
BOBBY: (shaking Dustin’s hand) Thanks for the kind words, buddy! Good luck to you and your partner in the tournament! As you can see, I’m in my gear. I’m not gonna just lay on the couch while Tommy is hurt! I’m taking single match all over the country and I have one here tonight! I promise all of you great people that Tommy is on the way back and you will see the Fantastics, strutting and strolling, rocking and rolling, before you know it!

LANCE: Matsuda also has a team in our tag team tournament. Their match is next!

TAG TEAM CONTENDER TOURNAMENT:THE TEXAS BRONCOS VS. GENICHIRO TENRYU & MASAHIRO CHONO (W/HIRO MATSUDA): This is a barnburner! The Broncos seem overmatched at first by the Japanese team. Dustin plays the face in jeopardy and gets an awful beating before he finally makes a hot tag to Windham! The Broncos come out on top as Kendall pins Chono after a bulldog! The reunited team of Windham and Rhodes are one step closer to greatness!

WATTS: Boni, I’m not sure if our American audience knows what they just witnessed! If an NFL team said “Barry Sanders is coming!” or if a NBA team said “Michael Jordan is coming”, it probably wouldn’t make a global impact like the sentence “Misawa is coming” makes on the UWA! Misawa is making his American debut at the FIRECRACKER SPECTACULAR here on TNT on July 4th. I promise you that the world will be watching!
BONI: Wow! As if the FIRECRACKER SPECTACULAR wasn’t a must see already! Lance, Les, and Magnum, back to you three!
TAG TEAM CONTENDER TOURNAMENT: DESTRUCTION CREW(W/BLACKJACK MULLIGAN) VS. KENTA KOBASHI & JUMBO TSURUTA: It’s the skill and precision of the Japanese against the power and brutality of Mulligan’s team. Kobashi and Tsuruta are in control of the match when it breaks down into a brawl! Referee David Manning attempts to get the illegal me, Jumbo and Enos out of the ring and has his back turned to Kobashi and Bloom. Mulligan takes full advantage of this as he gets on the apron and bashes Kobashi’s skull with one of the Crew’s hardhats! The Japanese grappler goies down like a ton of bricks and Bloom makes the cover! Manning finally gets the other two wrestlers out of the ring, turns and counts the pin for the DESTRUCTION CREW!!!
Next week, here on UWA FURY, Mulligan’s team will face Mulligan’s son, Kendall, and Dustin Rhodes for a match against the World Tag Team Champions at the FIRECRACKER SPECTACULAR!!!

Kevin Von Erich is standing in a blackened studio.
KEVIN: “Ace” Orton, tonight’s the night! You have to give me a match for that TV Title! You took it from me, but we weren’t in my home, the Sportatorium, that night! With all of my great fans in Dallas behind me 100%, I know I can get my belt back!
LANCE: Yowza! That’s coming up next!

UWA TV TITLE MATCH: “THE ACE” BOB ORTON (W/MISSY HYATT) VS. KEVIN VON ERICH: Former champion Von Erich goes on the offensive and has Orton in trouble almost from the opening bell! The Dallas crowd, of course, pops big for every move Kevin makes. After over 9 minutes of lopsided action, Kevin applies a combination body scissors/iron claw! The Ace is fading fast and his title is in jeopardy! The bell rings and there’s a huge pop from the crowd! Kevin, believing he has won by submission, leaps into the air, pumping his fists! His brother Kerry runs in and gives him a big hug! Referee Scott LeDoux has the title belt! He….drops it on Orton’s prone body!
LOWRANCE: The time limit expires without a winner! This match is declared a draw! Bob Orton retains his TV Championship!
Now, Kevin has the mic!
KEVIN: Hey, Orton! If you have the guts, why don’t you give me a rematch here on TNT next week? This time, instead of a 10 minute time limit, LET’S MAKE IT 20 MINUTES!!!
Missy is helping Orton out of the arena. Orton holds his title belt in the air and nods! Looks like we have another title bout next week on UWA FURY!
LANCE: By golly, we always do our best to bring you a whale of a show, but next week might be the best we’ve ever had! The match to determine who gets the Tag Title match at the FIRECRACKER SPECTACULAR and, now, a rematch for the TV Title, with a 20 minute time limit!
LES: You would normally have to buy a ticket to see this kind of card in a big city arena! The UWA will deliver it to your living room next Sunday night on TNT!
