Lowrance, “Welcome to the Bayfront Plaza. Summer is just getting started and the action in the GWF is getting hotter. We have a great night of wrestling, so I’m going to turn things over to Doyle King and we will get started.”
Match #1
Scott Putski vs. Gary Young w/“Playboy” Gary Hart
This should be evenly matched. Putski starts quickly. He uses his speed and athleticism to confuse the veteran Young. Gary takes the floor to confer with Hart. Young comes back to the ring and roughs up Putski. Scott fights back. The match goes back and forth. Young covers Putski near the ropes. Putski gets his foot on the ropes. Hart reaches up and knocks it off. Referee John Keaton doesn’t see this, and he counts the fall. Putski argues, but to no avail.

The Simpson Brothers vs. “Maniac” Mike Davis and “Hollywood” John Tatum
The popular South Africans are waiting for a title shot. Tonight they meet two rugged veterans. Shaun starts with Tatum. The action is fast paced. Davis goes to the underhanded tactics. Shaun is in trouble. He rallies and tags in Steve. The elder Simpson is very sharp. Tatum tags in. He tries his hand, but Simpson is too much. He hits a flying bodypress. Referee James Beard counts the fall. The Simpsons are ready for bigger things.

Billy Black w/Buddy Roberts vs. Johnny Mantell
The athletic Black meets the Cowboy from Montague County. The action goes back and forth. Mantell gets a quick two count. Roberts yells from ringside. He thinks referee John Keaton’s count was too fast. Black uses his athleticism to control the next few minutes. Mantell fights back. The fans are on the edge of their seats. Black takes over and wins with the moonsault.

Sam Houston w/Baby Doll vs. “Outlaw” Joel Deaton w/Buddy Roberts
The action outside the ring may be as intense as the in ring contest. Roberts puts the badmouth on Baby Doll. She gives it right back. Buddy steps toward her, and Baby Doll slaps him across the face. Roberts is livid. In the confusion, Deaton attacks Houston and we are underway. “The Outlaw” has the upper hand. Sam is in trouble. Deaton works him over, and “Tex” Roberts looks very pleased. The crowd gets behind Sam. He begins to rally. Now we have a pier six brawl. Baby Doll, and Roberts are both engaged in the action. Houston grabs Deaton and hits a bulldog. Referee James Beard counts the fall! Houston wins! Baby Doll celebrates with her man, and Roberts doesn’t know what happened.

Global Jr. Heavyweight Championship
Chaz (Champion) vs. Action Jackson
Two very talented junior heavyweights do battle. The action is fast and furious. They exchange holds and counter holds. Both men get near falls. The popular Chaz gets the edge and Jackson counters with roughhouse tactics. Chaz fights him off and wins with a sunset flip. The champion takes a very popular win.

Jimmy Jack Funk vs. One Man Gang w/“Playboy” Gary Hart
Two, big, wild, men meet. Gary Hart could be a difference in the contest. Funk stalks around the ring. He is crazy. The bell ring and the two big men lock up. Gang hammers away, and JJ is in trouble. Hart shouts instructions to “Moon”. Funk fights back, and the brawl continues. Now Hart looks worried. OMG fights back. He whips JJ into the ropes and drops him with a clothesline. Gang goes for the cover, but Funk kicks out. They go back and forth until OMG slams Funk and goes to the second rope. He climbs to the second rope and hits the 747 splash. Referee James Beard counts the fall. “Moon” is a top contender.
Winner- One Man Gang
Marc Lowrance is in the ring.
Lowrance, “Fans, what a night of wrestling. The city of Corpus Christi may never be the same. I’d like to call out a man we don’t see in front of the crowd very often, GWF promoter Max Andrews.”
Andrews comes to the ring.
Lowrance, “Welcome Mr. Andrews, we don’t see you very often.”
Andrews, “No, you don’t. I try to work behind the scenes. I am working to put the best product possible in GWF rings.”
Lowrance, “You asked for this time to make an announcement.”
Andrews, “Yes, I did Marc. As I said, we want to give the fans the best product we can, and we have another big show planned. On July 2 we will be at the Sam Houston Coliseum in Houston, and we will present “Independence Day Star Wars”. We promise to give you the best in wrestling action.”
Lowrance, “That is big news. Stay tuned to GWF programming for more information. Now let’s go back to Doyle King and continue tonight’s show.”

Black Bart and the Super Destroyer w/General Skandor Akbar vs. Iceman King Parsons and a “Mystery Partner”
Akbar and his men are in the ring. Parsons comes down the aisle. Akbar grabs the mic.
Akbar, “I knew it Parsons, you don’t have anyone! My men are going to destroy you!”
Parsons takes the mic.
Parsons, “Listen to me you Roodie poohs, I got a partner, and here he is…2Cold Scorpio!”
Scorpio comes down the aisle and the crowd explodes. He enters the ring, and Akbar and his men are stunned. Referee John Keaton calls for the bell. Parsons and the SD open the contest. Iceman uses his speed to control the early action. The masked man mounts a comeback, and Parsons is in trouble, and he tags in Scorpio tags in. The crowd is on the edge of their seats. Bart tags in and the big cowboy goes right after the popular Scorpio. The action goes back and forth until all four men end up in the ring. Keaton can’t control things and he calls for the bell. He disqualifies both teams. 2Cold Scorpio is a great addition to the GWF.
Result- Double Disqualification

Texas Championship
Moadib (Champion) w/General Skandor Akbar vs. The Patriot
The fans have been waiting for this one. “The Nubian Terror” beat the Patriot for the title, but the masked man had been injured by Devastation Incorporated. Tonight will be a war. Referee John Keaton calls for the bell, and we are underway. The Patriot starts quickly. He takes the fight right to the Champion. The masked man knows this is a fast, and he throws rights, and left. Moadib is in trouble. Akbar shouts instructions from ringside. The crowd loves the action. The Champion begins to fight back. Now we have a true pier six brawl. They fight from corner. Both men end up on the arena floor. They slug it out, and Keaton counts. Akbar distracts the Patriot, and Moadib dives back into the ring. The count reaches 20. The Patriot is counted out. This settles nothing.

Global Tag Team Championship
Bobby Duncum Jr. and Big John Hawk (Champions) w/Buddy Roberts vs. Tribal Nation
This will be a wild one. All four men are in the ring, no disqualification, no count. Tribal Nation has come very close to taking the titles, maybe tonight is the night. Referee James Beard calls for the bell, and we are underway. All four men tear into each other. Duncum and Brave Sky lock up as does Hawk and Nocona. There are no wrestling holds, just brawling. Hawk uses his size to hammer away at Nocona. He slams him, and goes for a cover. Nocona kicks out. On the other side of the ring Brave Sky chops away at Duncum. Hawk tosses Nocona to the floor. Now Roberts’ men double team Brave Sky. All this is legal. They whip Brave Sky into the ropes and go for a double clothesline. Brave Sky ducks. Then he comes off the ropes with a high cross body on both men. Nocona is back in the ring. Now Brave Sky and him work over the champions. The pace picks up. Both sides throw rights and lefts. The action is wild. In the confusion, Hawk hits a clothesline on Nocona and drops him. He covers Nocona and covers him. Beard counts the fall. The champions retain the titles.

Kevin Von Erich (Champion) vs. “The California Stud” Rod Price w/“Playboy” Gary Hart
This will be a brutal match. Referee James Beard tries to hook the Bull Rope to both men. Price, and Hart argue. This is an attempt to rattle Kevin, but he’s a veteran. Finally, both men are attached, and Beard calls for the bell. We are underway. It starts with a tug of war. Price has the strength advantage, and he pulls Kevin to him. Price throws rights, and lefts. Kevin is stunned at first, but he rallies, and he fires back with rights and lefts of his own. Hart shouts instructions from ringside. He looks worried. Price is desperate. He gets the cowbell, and smashes Kevin with it. This stops the Champion’s momentum. Price pounds away, and Kevin is busted open. Price starts for the corner. He slaps the first one, and heads for number two. He slaps it, and heads for the third. Kevin stops him. He pulls the rope, and Price falls to the mat. Kevin gets the bell. He smashes it into Price. Rod is busted open too. Now Kevin starts for the corner. He touches number one, then number two. He reaches three, but Price stops him. Now we have a slugfest. Price starts for the corner, but Kevin trips him up. Kevin hammers away with the bell. Price is in trouble. Kevin slaps the corner, then number two. Kevin hits number three. Price is holding on for dear life. Kevin jerks the rope one last time, and he slaps the last turnbuckle! Kevin Von Erich wins! Gary Hart is livid, but he can’t do anything about it.
