LANCE: Yello, everybody! Lance Russell, here along ringside with Les Thatcher and Magnum TA! Welcome to UWA FURY on TNT! We have 90 minutes of big action for ya here this week!
LES: We have an action packed lineup this week, Lance! A few weeks back, Al Perez stated that Tito Santana didn’t have any friends left! Well, Tito is in an eight man tag with three of his pals! We’ll also see three mebers of the Organization in a six man tag! The Von Erichs will be here! Magnum, what about that double main event?
MAGNUM: We’ll see World Junior Heavyweight Champion Scotty the Body take on the man he won the belt from, Chris Adams, in a non-tile match! Chris has to wait for his title match until May 26th at Texas Stadium. Also, we’ll see Blackjack Mulligan and his son Kendall Windham take on Ronnie Garvin and Kendall’s former tag team partner, Dustin Rhodes!
LES: Our Personality Profile will focus on “Modern Day Warrior” Kerry Von Erich, the man who will challenge “Megabucks” Michael Rotunda for the Undisputed World Title at Texas Stadium! Right now, our first match is in the ring!
MUKHAN SINGH, THE GREAT KOKINA, & IRON SHEIK (W/SIR OLIVER HUMPERDINK) VS. SD “SPECIAL DELIVERY” JONES, MR. ATLANTA, & TERRY DANIELS: The House of Humperdink has Scott Hall and Steve Keirn on their trail these days! They look capable of taking care of themselves in this bout. SD starts strong, using headbutts to gain an advantage. Singh and Kokina isolate Daniels and work his back. It’s a setup for the Sheik’s camel clutch and that hold gets his team a submission win as usual.

BONI: I’m here with the UWA President Cowboy Bill Watts. May 26th is the date, Texas Stadium is the location, and BATTLE BOWL is the event! I understand you have some announcements…
WATTS: Boni, the contract was signed this past week in our offices in Dallas. It’s official, Michael Rotunda will defend the Undisputed World Championship against Kerry Von Erich in Kerry’s hometown! The World Junior Heavyweight Title match has also been signed-Scotty the Body puts the belt on the line in a rematch against Gentleman Chris Adams! Also, I have signed some outstanding international talent for BATTLE BOWL! Michel Serdan, Brazil’s top wrestler will be there! Also, a man who would have been on our US Olympic team in 1980 but for the boycott, Brad Rheingans! Carlos Colon, the top wrestler in the Caribbean! And one of the most vicious wrestlers ever-the Great Kabuki! I’m currently in negotiations with one of the biggest superstars in the history of wrestling to participate!If we get this guy, it will make this the greatest card in the history of the sport!
BONI: OK, what about the tag team titles?
WATTS: Rick Maretl and Magnificent Muraco want the title match against the champions, the Fantastics. They got a big win last week, but they need one more to earn that match! They’ll have the opportunity here on UWA FURY next week!

ROTUNDA: No big deal! Didja see what the Ace did to his barefoot brother Kevin in Seattle? That’s exactly what the Modern Day Reject can expect from me! Like Missy said like week, I’m the Taj Mahal of pro wrestling and he’s more like a trailer park!
MISSY: That’s right, baby!
BONI: Steve “Dr. Death” Williams, you’ll be in Battle Bowl!
DR.DEATH: That’s right! First comes the Lethal Lottery, they’ll pick my partner’s name out of a hat and we’ll take on another team they pick out of a hat! Sorta like playing spin the bottle like we used to do at parties at OU back in the day! It don’t matter, I can carry just about anybody! Then comes Battle Bowl! A Battle Royal! When I win, I get the American belt, 100 grand, and a World Championship match!
BONI: What happens if Michael retains his title that night and you have to wrestle him for the title?

DR. DEATH: If that happens, you’ll see a great match, the greatest match in history!
BONI: Speaking of great matches, two more members of the Organization, Rick Martel and the Magnificent Muraco, have made a bid for a World Tag Team Title match against the Fantastics that night! My sources tell me that you’re getting close to that #1 contender’s spot!
MARTEL: We have a match signed next week and after we win that one, I believe they’ll have to give us a championship match!
MURACO: Yeah, those pretty boys won’t know what hit’em! Just look at our bodies! You’re looking at two wrestling machines! We’re gonna walk outta Texas Stadium with all the belts, Boni! The Organization is gonna rule the UWA!

ORTON: Well, I’ll tell ya what, sweetie...don’t worry your pretty little head about the Ace!

The announcers agree that Rotunda will be harde pressed to defend the title at Texas Stadium!

BONI: Ladies and gentlemen, I have with me, three of the top wrestlers in the world! They are Bob Backlund, “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka, and joined by his translator, Jumbo Tsuruta! These three will team up in our next match! Bob Backlund, you held the old WWF Championship for an incredible five years. You have headlined every major arena around the globe. What brings you to the UWA?
BACKLUND: I’m proud of all the accomplishments that you mentioned, but I can’t just live in the past, ma’am! I need to compete against the best! Let’s face it, the United Wrestling Alliance is the best! Look at these two superb athletes standing here this evening! Absolutely incredible wrestlers! I also want to wish both Mr. Rotunda and Mr. Von Erich well and challnege the winner to a championship match, any time and any place!

Backlund hits an atomic drop and Jumbo executes a backdrop suplex on Adonis, Snuka is tagged in and he gets the duke with a superfly splash!

LES: Without a doubt, the man they call, “the Modern Day Warrior’, Kerry Von Erich is one of the top stars in our great sport. Standing 6’2 and weighing in 254 pounds, Kerry has one of the most amazing physiques in any sport. Yet, Kerry remains humble and spends much of his time doing charity work, including visits to children’s hospitals and nursing homes (We see footage of Kerry with special needs kids and elderly people). Kerry Gene Von Erich was born on February 3, 1960 in Niagra Falls , New York. He is the fourth son of wrestling great Fritz Von Erich and Fritz’s wife, Doris. (Grainy in ring footage of Fritz and black and white baby pictures of Kerry)When Kerry was very young, Fritz moved his entire family to Denton Texas. Kerry grew up on the Von Erich family ranch (home movie footage of the Von Erich boys). When Kerry reached high school, he followed in his father’s footsteps as one of the all time great track and field athletes. His specialty was the discus(footage of teenage Kerry throwing a discus). Kerry broke all of his father’s records, setting new marks that may never be broken. Kerry studied at the University of Houston where he continued his discus exploits. In 1980, Kerry was a hevy favoirite to make the US Olympic team. Sadly, his dreams were shattered when the USA boycotted the Moscow Olympics. (still photo of Kerry standing in front of a flag). Kerry soon realized that his future was not on the track, but in the wrestling ring. His father trained Kerry and taught him the notorious Iron Claw! (footage of Kerry’s early matches) It didn’t take long for Kerry to rise to the top. In May 1984, Kerry pinned Ric Flair to win the NWA World Championship, at the time, wrestling’s greatest honor.(We see Kerry pinning Flair) Now, Von Erich has yet another opportunity at greatness. On May 25th, he’ll return to the scene of his greatest victory, Texas Stadium in a match with Undisputed World Champion “Megabucks” Michael Rotunda.

KERRY: It would mean the world to me to win that Undisputed World Championship in Texas Stadium again! My parents are gonna be there. Kev and lance will be there. My baby brother Chris will be there. I promise all these fans that I’m ready! I’m in the greatest shape of my life! I know that I can do it one more time!

LES: (voice over): He seems to be on the verge of greatness once again, but the top wrestler in the world, Undisputed World Champion Michael Rotunda(go to a split screen where Rotunda holds the title belt above his head on one side) won’t go down without a fight! It will take an incredible professional wrestler to take that belt. In Texas Stadium, we’ll see if the Modern Day Warrior is that man!

You drug out the silliest looking bunch of rejects last week to try and prove Al wrong! Jimmy Valiant? Are you serious? What homeless shelter did you find that derelict in? JYD? He just proves that Lamont wasn’t Fred Sanford’s only son! Scott Putski? Riding on his coattails and trying to be like Al Perez...and failing!

BIG BILL TABB, ROCK AND ROLL PHANTOM, DC DRAKE, & DOUG VINES: Drake and Tabb show some potential, but the heel team is outgunned here this week. Tito uses the flying forearm to put Tabb away. Badness Unlimited had better beware!

BLACKJACK MULLIGAN & KENDALL WINDHAM: As you’d expect when you consider who is involved, this is an all out brawl!It looks like a babyface win as Dustin hits the bulldog on Windham, but Mulligan waves his new team, the Destruction crew into the ring and that makes it 4 on 2! Fortunately, Kevin Von erich and a chair swinging Jimmy Valiant run in to even the odds and send the Mulligan gang running!

SCOTTY THE BODY VS. GENTLEMAN CHRIS ADAMS: Scotty’s World Junior Heavyweight Title is not on the line this week. It looks like that was a good move on Scotty’s part as Adams seems to be one step ahead of him all the way. The endcomes when Adams hits the superkick on Scotty and sends him flying out of the ring! The champ makes a hard landing on the concrete and isn’t able to beat the 10 count back into the ring! Adams has a non-title win! Magnum says that we may see the belt return to the Englishman on may 25th!

Standing 6’2 and weighing in 254 pounds, Kerry has one of the most amazing physiques in any sport. Yet, Kerry remains humble and spends much of his time doing charity work, including visits to children’s hospitals and nursing homes (We see footage of Kerry with special needs kids and elderly people). Kerry Gene Von Erich was born on February 3, 1960 in Niagra Falls , New York. He is the fourth son of wrestling great Fritz Von Erich and Fritz’s wife, Doris. (Grainy in ring footage of Fritz and black and white baby pictures of Kerry)When Kerry was very young, Fritz moved his entire family to Denton Texas. Kerry grew up on the Von Erich family ranch (home movie footage of the Von Erich boys). When Kerry reached high school, he followed in his father’s footsteps as one of the all time great track and field athletes. His specialty was the discus(footage of teenage Kerry throwing a discus). Kerry broke all of his father’s records, setting new marks that may never be broken. Kerry studied at the University of Houston where he continued his discus exploits. In 1980, Kerry was a hevy favoirite to make the US Olympic team. Sadly, his dreams were shattered when the USA boycotted the Moscow Olympics. (still photo of Kerry standing in front of a flag). Kerry soon realized that his future was not on the track, but in the wrestling ring. His father trained Kerry and taught him the notorious Iron Claw! (footage of Kerry’s early matches) It didn’t take long for Kerry to rise to the top. In May 1984, Kerry pinned Ric Flair to win the NWA World Championship, at the time, wrestling’s greatest honor.(We see Kerry pinning Flair) Now, Von Erich has yet another opportunity at greatness. On May 25th, he’ll return to the scene of his greatest victory, Texas Stadium in a match with Undisputed World Champion “Megabucks” Michael Rotunda.

KERRY: It would mean the world to me to win that Undisputed World Championship in Texas Stadium again! My parents are gonna be there. Kev and lance will be there. My baby brother Chris will be there. I promise all these fans that I’m ready! I’m in the greatest shape of my life! I know that I can do it one more time!
We cut to footage of Kerry working out in the gym.
LES: (voice over): He seems to be on the verge of greatness once again, but the top wrestler in the world, Undisputed World Champion Michael Rotunda(go to a split screen where Rotunda holds the title belt above his head on one side) won’t go down without a fight! It will take an incredible professional wrestler to take that belt. In Texas Stadium, we’ll see if the Modern Day Warrior is that man!

BABY DOLL: Tito, I can’t believe that I ever looked up to you! My man, the Latin Heartthrob introduced Badness Unlimited and the name says it all! The toughest group of men I’ve ever seen and I grew up in the wrestling business! Al also said you didn’t have any friends left. You drug out the silliest looking bunch of rejects last week to try and prove Al wrong! Jimmy Valiant? Are you serious? What homeless shelter did you find that derelict in? JYD? He just proves that Lamont wasn’t Fred Sanford’s only son! Scott Putski? Riding on his coattails and trying to be like Al Perez...and failing!
PEREZ: Some girls like his body, babe!
BABY DOLL: Girls might like it, but a real woman like me needs something better!
PEREZ: Tito, Badness Unlimited is here to stay and your freak show just don’t measure up!

TITO SANTANA, JUNKYARD DOG, “BOOGIE WOOGIE MAN” JIOMMY VALIANT, & SCOTT PUTSKI VS. BIG BILL TABB, ROCK AND ROLL PHANTOM, DC DRAKE, & DOUG VINES: Drake and Tabb show some potential, but the heel team is outgunned here this week. Tito uses the flying forearm to put Tabb away. Badness Unlimited had better beware!

BLACKJACK MULLIGAN & KENDALL WINDHAM: As you’d expect when you consider who is involved, this is an all out brawl!It looks like a babyface win as Dustin hits the bulldog on Windham, but Mulligan waves his new team, the Destruction crew into the ring and that makes it 4 on 2! Fortunately, Kevin Von erich and a chair swinging Jimmy Valiant run in to even the odds and send the Mulligan gang running!

SCOTTY THE BODY VS. GENTLEMAN CHRIS ADAMS: Scotty’s World Junior Heavyweight Title is not on the line this week. It looks like that was a good move on Scotty’s part as Adams seems to be one step ahead of him all the way. The endcomes when Adams hits the superkick on Scotty and sends him flying out of the ring! The champ makes a hard landing on the concrete and isn’t able to beat the 10 count back into the ring! Adams has a non-title win! Magnum says that we may see the belt return to the Englishman on may 25th!
