JR welcomes the fans to Smoky Mountain Wrestling. We are three weeks away from the Volunteer Slam and it is getting hot and heavy action wise here. Last week JJ Dillion said there was a traitor on team SMW and this week that will be discussed. This week Al Snow will be in action against newcomer, Aldo Montoya. “Primetime” Brian Lee returns in action against Bobby Blaze. The “Beat the Champ” TV championship will be on the line when “Wild Eyed Southern Boy” Tracy Smothers defends the title against newcomer Tommy Dreamer. JR is interrupted by the SMW heavyweight champion “Nature Boy” Buddy Landel. He comes out and says again that it don’t matter what titles anyone else has because right now the champion, the man, the Smoky Mountain heavyweight champion is right here. Lawler’s “world” title don’t matter. We are in Smoky Mountain so only that belt matters. Now…the reason he is out here is in three weeks he is defending this title against Brad Armstrong. Well he wants to defend it tonight against Armstrong. He wants to defend it tonight and beat the brains out of Armstrong. So if Armstrong has the guts he will be out here later tonight for the title shot. Landel walks away with JR saying be careful what you wish for. We get sent to the ring for the action.

Kevin Sullivan is outside. He says that last week he asked…no, he BEGGED for the thrill Seekers to not ask who was attacking them. He begged them not to ask questions because that would end their careers. They didn’t listen. So now it is time to get them eliminated. Now it is time to introduce his team… they are Kronus, they are Saturn. They are from out of this world. They are… THE ELIMINATORS!!!! They will take out The Thrill Seekers and in case you were all wondering…they are not it. He will have more and more and more and more and more and more until everyone calls him “The Master”.

We are back and JR says now we know Kevin Sullivan is building an army and they are starting with The Eliminators and The Thrill Seekers. There will be some tough fights coming up. Right now it is time for the return of “Primetime” Brian Lee. Lee comes out and tells JR that he is back for one reason. He wants that Smoky Mountain heavyweight title. Buddy Landel has it. 6’7” 280lb “Primetime” Brian Lee wants it. Jerry Lawler’s USWA World heavyweight title? “Primetime” Brian Lee wants it. He wants those two to pay attention to what he is about to do to Bobby Blaze.

JR is visited by Ricky & Robert, the Rock N’ Roll Express. Ricky says on May 7th him and Robert get a shot at the USWA world tag team titles belonging to Dick Slater & Robert Fuller. They won that right after beating The Midnight Express. Now, Ricky says Jimmy is out here talking about this or that or this or that but the Rock N’Roll Express are the ones getting the world title shot. That is all there is to that. They have had their matches with Dick Slater before. They have faced off against Robert Fuller too. So what happens now is on May 7th, at Volunteer Slam, The Rock N’ Roll Express takes on The Stud Stable and when it is all said and done, the Stud Stable lose their titles. Slater & Fuller come out. They say that yeah, they have fought the Rock N’ Roll a couple of times. Thing is, Ricky & Robert never fought the two of them together for the world tag team belts. The Stud Stable are going to keep being the champs because that is what the Stud Stable do. Ricky goes to shake their hands saying it will be a fight. Slater doesn’t shake anyone’s hand, instead walks off as Robert shrugs his shoulders and follows.

JR welcomes the fans back to the show. Volunteer Slam is set to be a huge show. The Rock N’ Roll Express takes on The Stud Stable for the USWA World tag team titles. The Heavenly Bodies take on The Armstrongs for the SMW tag team titles. The SMW heavyweight title is on the line when Brad Armstrong gets his shot at “The Nature Boy” Buddy Landel’s title. But then the main event, Jerry “The King Lawler leading Team SMW, Lawler, The Dirty White Boy, Jeff Jarrett, and Brian Christopher taking on The Four Horsemen in a cage. There is a stipulation however. If Team SMW loses, if Lawler is pinned or submits, whoever beats Lawler, is the new USWA world heavyweight champion. If Brian Christopher is beaten by Tully Blanchard, he loses the US Junior title. BUT if the Horseman lose, they leave SMW. It will be a huge card. Right now though it is time for the “Beat the Champ” television title match. Tommy Dreamer makes his way down amid some cheers but they get louder and louder and champion “The Wild Eyed Southern Boy” Tracy Smothers comes down.

Smothers is with JR after his win. He says that he is not done yet with Horner. He may have taken Horner’s belt. He may have put the championship back in the hands of the Smoky Mountain fans. But he isn’t done with Horner. He isn’t done showing Horner that he made a mistake with the sucker punch. Punching Smothers in the head is like denting an old truck. After the first one, the rest don’t matter. So he wants Horner and he wants him next week if not right now. JR says Horner isn’t here this week. Smothers says ok, next week. He wants Horner to get there and understand blood will be spilled.

Main event time and Brad Armstrong is in the ring. JR is about to announce the Smoky Mountain heavyweight title match when champion Buddy Landel comes out. He asks why Brad is in the ring. JR says tht Brad is there because of the challenge made earlier from Landel. Landel says he didn’t challenge Brad Armstrong. His title match doesn’t happen for a couple of weeks. JR said no, he made that challenge at the beginning of the show. He plays the video.

JR is interrupted by the SMW heavyweight champion “Nature Boy” Buddy Landel. Landel laughs saying they got it all wrong. It wasn’t -Brad- he was talking about facing tonight. It was BRIAN. It was never Brad… at least not until May 7th. So he demands Brad get out of there and Brian get in the ring for his title opportunity. Brad comes down and calls Landel a coward. Landel just says it is Brian’s turn and Brad shouldn’t get in the way of that. Brian comes down and says he is ready. Brad still tries to talk about it. Bullet Bob comes down. He says that unfortunately Landel is right. Brad will have to wait, it is time for Brian to get a shot. Landel waves bye bye to Brad and gets in the ring to face Brian.

MAIN EVENT (SMW Heavyweight Championship): “The Nature Boy” Buddy Landel *champion* def. Brian Armstrong via corkscrew elbow. He delivers a second one and goes for a third but is stopped by Brad who comes and throws down. Landel escapes as soon as he can and heads to the back as Brad and Brian head to the announce desk.

Brad says that Landel has crossed the line. His little brother went in there looking for a good match. He didn’t thnk Landel would take advantage of that. Bob comes back out and says that he may have been away for a few weeks but he is back now and there is no way that Landel and the like will take over Smoky Mountain Wrestling. This match just showed what needs to be done so Buddy Landel, Brian is going to be an official for that title match. He won’t be -the- official, but he will be outside to make sure nothing else happens and Landel wrestles like he is supposed to be wrestling. So May 7th the title will still be on the line, Brad will still be facing Landel. It is just that Brian will be ringside. JR tells the fans that is it for this week and stay tuned next week for more Smoky Mountain Wrestling.
