Jim Ross welcomes the fans to Smoky Mountain Wrestling. It is going to be a huge week as we are just 4 weeks away from Volunteer Slam and it is getting bigger and badder. Last week we saw The Thrill Seekers attacked. This week they are back and we still don’t know who attacked them. We have the TV title on the line. Last week Smothers defeated Horner for the belt. Tonight will be his first title defense. Two of the participants in the steel cage 4-4 match at Volunteer Slam, Horsemen members Barry Windham & Tully Blanchard will be in tag team action and in the main event the Smoky Mountain tag team titles will be on the line when The Armstrongs defend the belts. Right now we get sent to the ring for the action.

Jericho & Storm are with JR at the announce table. They say last week they got jumped from behind and they don’t know who it was. Thing is, it doesn’t matter who it was because the Thrillseekers want the punks who did it to try it to their faces. Out comes Kevin Sullivan who says Jericho and Storm don’t want that. They only felt a little of what will happen. He egs them to please don’t call out that other team. He doesn’t want to be responsible for their careers dying. Jericho grabs him but Sullivan throws something in Jericho’s eyes just as that team rush the other side of the announce area and attack both Storm and a blinded Jericho. It is a three on one until Brad and Brian Armstrong rush out and run off Sullivan and his goons.

We are back and it is time for the SMW National TV championship match. Champion Tracy Smothers comes out and says that he has something to say. He says the TV title belt that was made when Tim Horner was the champion is a beautiful belt. It is very pretty with the gold and silver. But the problem Smothers has is this belt is for the nation. See, Horner thought he was bigger than Smoky Mountain and the fans. He thought he was more important than the great fans. This started with Smothers looking for help for Jeff Jarrett when these punks were attacking him. It started out with Smothers asking Horner if he will help defend the great Smoky Mountain area. Horner thought he was too good to do that. That is what this “national” title represents to Smothers so as of right now, he isn’t the “national” TV champion. He is the Smoky Mountain “Beat the Champ” TV champion. Now he knows “Bullet” Bob wanted the two to talk but there ain’t no way Smothers will talk anymore. He wants Horner to watch what he is going to do to Mike Samples because that is what it is… a sample of what Smothers is going to do to Horner.

The USWA World heavyweight champion Jerry “The King” Lawler is there. He says he can’t be in the SMW arena because he is out defendig the world title. But he will be back before the Volunteer Slam card on November 7th. But he does have something important to say. When Smoky Mountain started, Eddie Gilbert came here and talked a lot of Smack about Lawler. He said a lot of things. Now, Lawler is here and is leading the charge that Eddie thought he was leading. Thing is, Brian Christopher was right last week. Eddie ran away. Well…now Eddie Gilbert is back. Ok. What does he think will happen? Does he think Brian Christopher and the Dirty White Boy or Jeff Jarrett will side with him? Does he think that Lawler will be ok with it? If Hotstuff wants anyone to believe him, well..actions speak louder than words.

We are back and JJ Dillon comes out with his men, Barry Windham & Tully Blanchard. He says that Flair and Rude are not here right now because they are out traveling the world being the world famous wrestlers that they are. Windham & Blanchard are here though, not because they are not world famous but because they want to beat up some Tennessee hicks. They aren’t the ones they want to beat up because that will have to wait until May 7th. But it is still some of them. He leads them to the ring as we get set for the match.

Blanchard & Windham are in the ring celebrating when this time they are run out by Dirty White Boy & Eddie Gilbert and Jeff Jarrett. Brian Christopher comes out too behind them. As Blanchad, Windham, and Dillon are outside, Dillon tells them to pay attention because someone isn’t being honest with them and is out for themselves. Christopher and Jarrett look at Gilbert who is taken back by this. He swears it isn’t him. Dillon laughs as he leaves. Christopher walks up to Gilbert and pushes him who pushes back. Jarrett and DWB try to get between the two. Christopher pushes both Jarrett & DWB which angers DWB. The US Junior champion turns and leaves while Jarrett is trying to calm everyone down and Gilbert is pleading his case, rightfully saying he didn’t start anything here. We got to Jim Ross who then sends us to a video.

We see Dean Malenko in action, out wrestling everyone in front of him with an array of wrestling moves. Jim Ross says that Dean Malenko, a highly touted second generational star will be in Smoky Mountain Wrestling in the coming weeks. He has the US junior heavyweight championship on his mind and won’t take no for an answer. Ross continues to say when Malenko gets here, everyone should be afraid as he truly is the man of 1000 holds.

Scott & Steve are in the ring with their brothers Brad & Brian. Brad says that on May 7th, he has his shot at the Smoky Mountain heavyweight champoinship. Buddy Landel says he is going to beat out Brad’s brains but a lot of people have said that and failed. May 7th, that title changes. Scott takes the mic and says he and his brother Steve have to defend the Smoky Mountain tag team belts against Jim Cornette’s Heavenly Bodies. Well..they will be ready for whatever Cornette does because their brother Brian will be out there in their corner to make sure Cornette behaves. May 7th, Volunteer Slam, the Armstrongs are going to deal with those they need to deal with. We fade out to JR telling fans to make sure they stay tuned for next week’s show.
