Cut to the arena where pyrotechnics are going off and the crowd is making noise!
LES: Welcome to Seattle, wrestling fans! We are at ringside for the most spectacular might of televised wrestling action EVER!
MAGNUM: Four big title matches are on the card, Les!
LES: Mark Lowrance is in the ring to introduce the first match!
MIL MASCARAS VS. MOONDOG SPOT: Magnum points out the absence of Spot’s manager, Sir Oliver Humperdink. It probably wouldn’t have made any difference. Mil puts on a display of his great skill and pins Spot after a high cross body in 5:22.

Sir Oliver Humperdink leads his Russian team of Boris Zhukov and Nikolai Volkoff. SOH demands the audience stand and repect the singing of the Soviet National anthem by Volkoff. Nikolai is almost on pitch for a second there…
Then, a Marine color guard marches down the aisle as we hear…
KERRY VON ERICH & SGT. SLAUGHTER HAVE ARRIVED!!!
NIKOLAI VOLKOFF & BORIS ZHUKOV(W/SIR OLIVER HUMPERDINK) VS. “MODERN DAY WARRIOR” KERRY VON ERICH & SGT. SLAUGHTER: The Russians are big, powerful men and manage to isolate Sarge on their side of the ring for awhile, but when all four men end up in the ring, Sarge applies the cobra on Volkofff and Kerry clamps the Iron Claw on Zhukov! Referee Scott LeDoux declares Slaughter and Von Erich the winners in a time of 8:12!
We cut to Boni Blackstone in the interview area….
BONI: I am here with our UWA President, Cowboy BilL Watts. We were told you had a major announcement regarding the vacant American Title!
WATTS: More to it than just that, Boni! Last year, Battle Bowl was one of the biggest events we’ve ever presented here in the UWA! This year, there’s a new twist! Not only will the winner receive $250,000.00 and a future World Title match, the winner will also win the American Title!
BONI: Wow! I’m sure the fans watching want to know when and where…
WATTS: It will originate from Texas Stadium in Dallas on May 26th! It will be available on pay per view! Also, we have an agreement in principle from both participants in our Undisputed World Championship match later this evening that whomever is Champion on May 26th will defend the title at this spectacular! We have similar assurances regarding the Tag Team Title!
BONI: Mr. President, that is HUGE news!
WATTS: I’m working on some more things that will make battle Bowl ‘89 the biggest event of the decade of the 80’s!
BONI: I can’t wait! We have more action after these commercials!

Dustin Rhodes enters the ring for our next match. Next, Kendall Windham strolls to the ring...and Blackjack Mulligan is with him!
Dustin has the mic!
DUSTIN: KW, this is supposed to be you and me settling our differences, ope on one, man to man! (points at Mulligan) Blackjack has no business out here!
Referee David Manning has the mic now…
MANNING: Look, the rules back him up! The big Cowboy handed down a ruling that says that nobody can second a wrestler without a valid manager’s license!
Mulligan asks for the mic. Manning hads it to him.
MULLIGAN: Everybody needs to just simmer down right here and now! Not long agao, I went to the UWA headquarters for two reasons. First reason was to ask for this match on behalf of my son!Second reason was to fill out an application for this (pulls paer out of pants pocket and unfolds it) Read it and weep! (hands psper to Manning)
Manning looks the paper over and nods. He asks for the mic and gets it…
MANNING: Dustin, this is a manager’s license...he’s legal, man!
DUSTIN: OK, can I get a friend of mine to be in my corner?
MANNING: Dustin, you know what Bill Watts ruled on that: Only licensed managers at ringside! Let’s get it going!
DUSTIN RHODES VS. KENDALL WINDHAM (W/BLACKJACK MULLIGAN): Kendall wrestles in a very aggressive style and his dad gets involved frequently. Dustin fights valiantly, but the odds are stacked against him. Windham gets the win as he knocks Dustin out with a loaded glove that Mulligan hands in and gets the duke in 7:23. Magnum talks about how much he liked the Texas Broncos team and says it is sad to see things end this way….

Bad News Brown enters the ring as the fans boo. The crowd reaction changes when the music plays…
Here comes JYD!!!
BAD NEWS BROWN VS. JUNKYARD DOG: No scientific match here! This is an all out slugfest! Brown is in control most of the way, but it looks like the Dog will win when he hits the Big Thump on Brown! One..two...OH NO! Somebody has ran into the ring and attacked Dog!
CAMERON: That’s Lethal Larry Cameron! HE tore up Canada last year! I don’t know what he’s doing here in the UWA!
Cameron dishes out a beating to JYD! When Brown recovers, he joins in! It looks bad for JYD, but a garbage can comes flying into the ring, followed by Jimmy Valiant! The Boogie Woogie Man makes the save!

SCOTT HALL VS. BIG JOHN STUDD (W/SIR OLIVER HUMPERDINK): Studd attacks Hall at the bell and dominates most of the way. It looks like Studd may get the easy win tonight, but he misses with a big elbow drop and Scott takes over! Scott comes back and gets the pinfall win after a bulldog. Scott Hall is on his way up the ladder! Afterwards, we see SOH yelling at Studd, who looks very dejected.

Al Perez and Baby Doll are in the ring. Perez has the mic…
PEREZ: Ok, referee, it’s obvious to everybody that my man Soultaker put Tito on the shelf! Go ahead and raise my hand and give me the match so I can go party!
Referee Carl Fergie is shaking his head. There’s a roar from the crowd and here comes Tito! Tito’s face is bruised and he’s moving more slowly than usual than usual, but he’s here! Perez and Baby Doll look like somebody just stepped over their graves!
TITO SANTANA VS. “LATIN HEARTTHROB” AL PEREZ (W/BABY DOLL): Tito is very aggressive and goes after Perez’s leg. Tito eventually locks in the figure four, but Perez gets in the ropes to break it. Perez manages to get the pin on Tito as he executes a rolling reverse and grabs two handfulls of tights for the 1-2-3! Perez and Baby Doll celebrate like they’ve won the lottery while Tito protests to the referee!
