Jim Ross welcomes the fans joining him and Bobby “The Brain” Heenan to another week of Smoky Mountain Wrestling. He recaps quickly that last week we saw the return of the 4 Horsemen and their target? The men from Memphis. This week we will hear from the USWA world heavyweight champion, Jerry “The King” Lawler as well as the Smoky Mountain heavyweight champion, Buddy Landel, Jeff Jarrett, & The Dirty White Boy. We are going to see Richard Slinger in action. Paul Roma from The Stallions, takes on Scotty Riggs from The American Males. The Heavenly Bodies and Big Bubba Rogers, with Jim Cornette, will be in a 6-man tag team match against The Rock N’ Roll Express with Brian Lee. In the main event, the USWA world tag team champions, The Stud Stable, Dick Slater & Robert Fuller, will defend the titles against Steel & Al Snow. We get sent to the ring for the action.

Lawler, Landel, Jarrett, and DWB come out early. Lawler tells Ross that it was some of these guys right here defending Memphis against other Smoky Mountain wrestlers. Yeah, it was a little more to it, but that was the gist of it. Now, it seems as these guys from the Carolinas, from the Florida area, from New York and more think they can come down here to the USWA area, the Smoky Mountain area and take over. The thing is, people like Jarrett, Lawler, Landel, the DWB, Brian Lee, The Armstrongs and more….they are southern wrestling. They are what made this territory. They are who are out there day to day, town to town. Those guys like Flair and the Horsemen…yeah…they are world wide but world wide doesn’t mean anything to the fans here. These are blue collar, go home to their families and go to church on Sunday, salt of the earth people. They are not the fancy dressed, splashing money and showing off their private jets type. So what happens is, these guys, the Tully Blanchards, the Rick Rudes, the Ric Flairs, the Barry Windhams, they come to Tennessee and pretend they are better than these folks. As far as Lawler and the guys here are concerned, that just isn’t going to happen. If Rude thinks he can be the Smoky Mountain heavyweight champion, the -real- Nature Boy Buddy Landel will be here to answer that. If Tully thinks he is coming for that US Junior title…he can think again because Brian Christopher will make sure that title stays where it is. Hey Barry…you want to brawl and fight? The Dirty White Boy has all that fight you need. Lawler smiles now saying he is saving the best for last. Ric Flair. What was that saying? To be the man you need to beat the man…well brother, Jerry “The King” Lawler, the USWA World heavyweight champion is the man. Flair can come anytime because Lawler will have a right-handed fist waiting. They leave as Ross sends us to commercial.

When we return, Jim Ross reminds the fans of last week when The American Males were confronted by The Stallions, “Pretty” Paul Roma & “Jaw-Dropping” Jim Powers. Heenan tells the fans that The American Males are just copies of Powers & Roma. They were the first, they were the best. Ross tells the fans that today we are going to see Roma take on Riggs in a match that will be…interesting. Heenan says it won’t be to him. We head to the ring for the action.

Paul Roma def. Scotty Riggs via holding the tights
/
/
Roma is met with Powers and the two celebrate on their way to the back while Riggs is joined by Bagwell at the announce table. Riggs says he was screwed because his tights were held. Bagwell says that next week they want both of those punks in the ring because this type of thing, this type of cheating isn’t what good tag teams do. What Roma & Powers did was years ago. It is time for the great fans to side with The American Males. Next week it is time to wrestle. They leave as the National television champion “White Lightning” Tim Horner comes out. He tells Ross that Tracy Smothers had no reason to come attack him last week. If Smothers wants to have a shot at his tv title, he can come up face to face. It is simple. Horner has the title. Smothers wants the title. He also has something to say regarding what Jerry Lawler came out here talking about. Horner is a little offended that those guys talk about titles and people from Tennessee defending the South and the good people here. Horner is the National television champion. Horner is from Morristown Tennessee and Lawler forgets all about him? That don’t sit well with this country boy. Horner has some thinking to do. He leaves as we go to commercial.

We are back and Cornette comes out saying last week he showed the Rock N Roll Express a little something. He showed them what happens when Doomsday is around. He ordered Doomsday to bust them open and he did that. Now, that 6-man tag team match they wanted. Brian Lee…you may meet your Doomsday today. We get sent to the ring as Cornette introduces The Heavenly Bodies and Big Bubba.

The Rock N’ Roll Express/”Primetime” Brian Lee def. The Heavenly Bodies/Big Bubba w. Jim Cornette via DQ after Doomsday gets involved.
/
/
It is a 4-3 brawl when The Armstrongs rush the ring making it a 5-4 fight. The Armstrongs & the Rock N Rolls get the upper hand until Cornette calls to the back again. This time out comes THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS!!!!! STAN LANE AND BOBBY EATON JOIN THE FIGHT!!!! It is a 6-5 and when you include the tennis racket, it is a fight the good guys can’t win. Brad, Brian, and “Bullet” Bob rush the ring as Cornette sends his guys to the back. We head to commercial as the Armstrongs look after their brothers and Ricky & Robert.

We are back from the final commercial. Cornette comes down and says that it is official. The Midnight Express & The Heavenly Bodies are here and they have their targets. The Bodies….Armstrongs, they got in the wrong fight. The Smoky Mountain tag team titles are going to head to Camp Cornette. If Brad & Brian get in the way, Bubba & Doomsday will be there. Rock N Roll Express…The Midnight Express will go round and round and it just gives the Midnights reason to live. Camp Cornette is going to be the top. He leaves as Jim Ross sends us to the main event. It will be The Stud Stable, Robert Fuller & Dick Slater, defending the USWA world tag team titles against Al Snow & Steel. We head to the ring for the action.

MAIN EVENT (USWA World Tag Team Championship): Robert Fuller & Dick Slater *champions* def. Al Snow & Steel
/
/
Fuller & Slater are celebrating when Fuller takes the mic. He says that the nonsense between the South and the Horsemen don’t concern the world tag team champions. He wants them to make sure they understand that champs are the champs for a reason. The Stud Stable hold the belts, the Stud Stable make the rules. They won’t take sides and they won’t roll over. They leave as we fade out to Jim Ross telling the fans to stay tuned next week.
