Doyle King opens the show.
King, “Welcome fans! The GWF is in Temple! What a night of action we have for you. The North American Title is on the line, Kevin Von Erich defends against Rod Price. Let’s get things underway.
Match #1
GWF Jr. Heavyweight Championship
“Hurricane” Mike Dahl (Champion) vs. Chaz
Two popular men open the program. Both men obey the rules, and the fans enjoy the action. Both men are very sharp. They exchange holds and counter holds. Dahl gets a two count, but Chaz kicks out. Chaz hirs a sunset flip, but Dahl kicks out at two. Both men get a little frustrated, and pick up the intensity. The action goes back and forth until the bell rings. The 20 minute time limit expires. The fans loved this one.
Result- Time Limit Draw

The Simpson Brothers vs. “Bad Boy” Billy Black and “Outlaw” Joel Deaton w/Buddy Roberts
The Simpsons are one of the popular teams in Texas. Roberts’ men not so much. Buddy grabs the mic.
Roberts, “Howdy pardners! I know it’s a thrill for ya’ll to see a real Texan! You’re welcome!”
Steve and Deaton open the contest. Both men are quick, and impressive. Steve rolls him up, but Joel kicks out. Deaton is frustrated, and picks up the aggressiveness. Now Steve is in trouble. The Temple crowd gets behind the South African. He fights his way out of the corner. Steve tags in Shaun, and the younger Simpson continues the attack. Deaton tags in Black. He is aggressive as well. The action goes back and forth. All four men end up in the ring. Black rolls up Shaun. Roberts reaches in and grabs Shaun’s leg. Referee John Keaton doesn’t see it and counts the fall. The Simpsons argue, but Keaton won’t hear it.

Match #3
Moadib w/General Skandor Akbar vs. Calvin Knapp
Akbar’s monster has run roughshod over the competition. Knapp is very game, his odds are slim. Moadib is so big and powerful he attacks Knapp. Calvin is trapped in the corner, and Moadib works him over. Calvin puts up a good fight, but Moadib hits a legdrop for the win. Akbar’s man is a monster.
Winner- Moadib

The Patriot vs. “Hollywood” John Tatum
The popular Patriot takes on the arrogant Tatum. John jumps the Patriot before the bell. He slams the masked man’s head into the turnbuckle. The Patriot is stunned. The crowd is worried. The masked man draws on the cheers and rallies. He fights fire with fire, and Tatum is in retreat. A Patriot missile ends things for the masked man. A very popular win.
Winner- The Patriot
Doyle King is in the ring.
King, “Fans, what an exciting night, and the best is yet to come. Our main event tonight is a North American Championship. Rod Price, the former champion, challenges the new Champion, Kevin Von Erich!”
Kevin comes down the aisle and the Temple crowd goes crazy. Kevin climbs into the ring, and shakes hands with King.
King, “Welcome Kevin! What about being in Temple?”
Kevin, “Thanks Doyle, it’s always great to be in Temple, it’s a great Texas town.”
King, “Tonight you meet the former champion. Price is big, strong, and powerful.”
Kevin, “I don’t take him lightly. I fought so hard to get this title, and it means a lot to me. Price will do anything to win, but I’m ready for him.”
King, “What a main event, Kevin Von Erich vs. Rod Price.”
Match #5
“Gentleman” Chris Adams and Iceman King Parsons vs. The Super Destroyer and Black Bart w/General Skandor Akbar
This will be a wild one. Adams and Parsons are wildly popular. Akbar’s men are tough and vicious. Parsons and the SD open the contest. Iceman uses his speed to control the early moments. The masked man is frustrated. He goes to the underhanded tactics. This stops Parsons, and Akbar looks very happy at ringside. Adams tags in, and the “Gentleman” goes to work. He now has the Super Destroyer in trouble. Bart tags in, and the big Cowboy attacks Adams. Chris stands toe to toe with the man from the Dakotas. The action continues until Adams hits a superkick on Bart. He covers him, and referee John Keaton counts the fall. It’s a big win for the fan favorites.

North American Championship
Kevin Von Erich (Champion) vs. “The California Stud” Rod Price
The Temple crowd is on the edge of their seats. Von Erich won the title at Tarrant County, but Price is hot on his heels. The crowd loves Kevin. It’s just like the old days in Texas. Price jumps Kevin before he gets his jacket off. Price hammers away, and the champ is in trouble. Price tosses Kevin out of the ring, and follows him. Price punishes Kevin, and then tosses him back into the ring. The crowd is going crazy. This seems to motivate the Champion. Kevin fights back. The pace of the match increases. We now have a brawl. Price tries every dirty trick he knows. Seemingly out of nowhere, Kevin hits a flying bodypress off the t rope. Referee James Beard counts 1…2…3! Kevin retains the title!
