The program opens with highlights from “Spring Stampede”. We see Lex Luger win the “Texas Shootout”, and Hulk Hogan slam, and defeat Kamala.
Gorilla Monsoon and Jesse “The Body” Ventura open the program.
Monsoon, “Jess, what a night in Dallas!”
Ventura, “You got that right Gino, Lex Luger is the hottest name in wrestling!”
Monsoon, “What about the ‘Hulkster’, and the ‘American Dream’?”
Ventura, “Old news Monsoon!”
Monsoon, “Well, we’ll see. We have a great show for you. We have a fantastic main event, Billy Jack Haynes takes on the Missing Link. Lex Luger will be here, as well as Dusty Rhodes, but first, let’s see the new tag team champions.”

The Fabulous Freebirds (Global Tag Team Champions) vs. The Assassins
The Freebirds defeated the Hart Foundation the night before the Pay per View. They are now locked in a feud with Demolition. Tonight it’s Hayes and Gordy for the Champions. The mysterious masked team will be a good test. Gordy and Assassin #1 open the contest. Terry hammers away at the masked man. He tags in Hayes and the leader of the Freebirds tags in. The other masked man tries his hand, but Hayes wins it with the bulldog. The Champions hear the cheers of the Texas fans.
Winners- The Fabulous Freebirds
Match #2
Mean Mark Callous w/The Genius vs. S.D. Jones
The massive Callous has been undefeated since arriving in the GWA. Jones is a tough veteran, but he gives up a lot of size and power. Callous attacks fast. He pounds away, and Jones is in real trouble. SD puts up a fight, but Callous uses a chokeslam for the win.
Winner- Mark Callous
Mean Gene Okerlund is with Wahoo McDaniel.
Okerlund, “Fans, with me is the veteran Wahoo McDaniel. Wahoo, you made a very good accounting of yourself in the ‘Texas Shootout’.”
McDaniel, “Gene, I didn’t win it, and that was my goal. I came to the GWA to win every time I got in the ring. That's still my goal.”
Okerlund, “What are your plans going forward.”
McDaniel, “We have a new North American Champion, Austin Idol, I want that title! Get in the ring with me, and I’ll take it!”
Okerlund, “Wahoo vs. Idol would be a great one.”

Wahoo McDaniel vs. Johnny Mantell
Mantell is tough. This won’t be easy for Wahoo. Johnny stands his ground, and it’s a hard hitting affair. Wahoo is one of the toughest in the business. He works over Mantell and wins with a deep double underhook.

The Commandos w/General Skandor Akbar vs. Robbie Ellis and Gary Royal
The massive Commandos take on two veterans. Ellis starts with Boone. Robbie tries to stay out of trouble, but Boone catches him. He dishes out punishment. Boone Tags in Ray and the veteran continues the attack.,Royal tries his hand, but is overwhelmed. Akbar has two monsters on his hands.
Winners- The Commandos
Mean Gene Okerlund is with Bobby “The Brain” Heenan.
Okerlund, “With me is Bobby ‘The Brain’ Heenan. Mr. Heenan, there are a lot of rumors flying around. Many experts have said that you have signed a new man.”
Heenan, “Not just a new man, but the new man. I have signed, probably, the top available name in the business. The Heenan Family is already the biggest name in wrestling, well this move is going to shake wrestling to its core.”
Okerlund, “OK Heenan, who is this guy?”
Heenan, “The humanoids can wait until next week. I will debut my new man next week.”
Okerlund, “Typical weasel!”
Heenan, “Watch it Okerlund!”

“Hangman” Bobby Jaggers vs. Black Bart
The “Hangman” from Dunlop, KS makes his debut. Bart is as tough as they come. This will be hard hitting. It starts fast. Both men are very physical. They exchange rights, and lefts. Bart puts up a good fight, but Bobby hits the hangman for the win. Bobby Jaggers will be a force to be reckoned with.
Winner- Bobby Jaggers
Mean Gene Okerlund is with the “American Dream” Dusty Rhodes.
Okerlund, “Fans, this man needs no introduction, he was a ‘mystery entrant’ in the ‘Texas Shootout’, Dusty Rhodes, welcome to the GWA!”
Rhodes, “Gene Okerlund, my close personal friend, the ‘Dream’ is in the GWA, and the world just changed baby!”
Okerlund, “Dusty, you came close in the ‘Shootout’, what’s next?”
Rhodes, “That’s right Mean Gene, the Dream came close, but he lost! Now Lex Luger, you’re big, strong and young! Dusty Rhodes may not have those big muscles, but he does have a prettier face baby! I’ve also been the World Champion…several times, you ain’t done that yet! Lex Luger, I’m coming after you, and I’ll get ya!”
Okerlund, “Lex Luger is in our next match, and Dusty Rhodes will be the guest commentator!”
Rhodes, “The ratings just went through the roof!”

Lex Luger w/Bobby “The Brain” Heenan vs. George South
Rhodes sits in with Monsoon and Ventura. He is is usual entertaining self. He gives Luger credit, but not too much. Lex is on his game. He punishes South. George is very good, but Luger is too much. He clamps on the human torture rack. South quickly submits. Heenan eggs on Luger, and he refuses to break the hold. Suddenly, Rhodes jumps up from the announce area. He goes after Luger. We have a brawl on our hands. Security personnel pull the two apart. The face of the GWA has indeed changed.
Winner- Lex Luger

The Missing Link vs. Billy Jack Haynes
The powerful Haynes takes on the wild man. The Link jumps Haynes before the bell. He works over Billy. The Link uses the headbutt to stun Haynes. Billy is in trouble, but he rallies. Haynes fights with fire, they brawl until Haynes clamps on the full Nelson. The Link fights, but he submits. A big win for the man from Portland.
Winner- Billy Jack Haynes
Gorilla Monsoon and Jesse Ventura close the program.
Monsoon, “Jess, every time I think I’ve seen it all, the GWA shows me something new!”
Ventura, “Dusty Rhodes is a legend, but he might have bitten off more than he can chew!”
Monsoon, “Maybe so. We have that piece of human garbage, the Weasel, says he has a big, new, name! Don’t miss next week’s show!”
