Your Hosts: Ed Whalen and Lord James Blears
*Ed Whalen and Lord James Blears welcomed everyone to The Corral in Calgary for the best in wrestling, here in Canada and Europe. Lord Blears announced some huge events coming up:
March 15, 1989: Legends Appreciation Night at the Junction where Wrestling International will honor Stu Hart and other iconic figures. Also appearing, Commonwealth Heavyweight Champion Bruce Hart, Commonwealth Tag Team Champions the Asian Assassins and Commonwealth Jr. Heavyweight Champion Nelson Royal.
April 15-25, 1989: Wrestling International will be going on tour in Europe, visiting London, Manchester, Dublin, Paris and Berlin.
At this point, Ed Whalen was joined in the ring by members of the Hart family as Bret Hart, Bruce Hart, Owen Hart and in-law Jim Neidhart entered the ring to talk about how excited they are to be back in Calgary. Bret is looking forward to honoring their dad Stu Hart on March 15 and he's told other Canadian legends will be in attendance. Whalen mentions Angelo Mosca, the Vachons and Ronnie Gavin will be appearing.
Bret Hart says him and brother-in-law Jim Neidhart have their sights set on the Commonwealth Tag Team Championships and he knows brother Owen wants the Commonwealth Jr. Heavyweight Championship. The family then welcome Dungeon graduates Flyin' Brian Pillman and Phil Lafon, who shakes hands with the Hart family. Bret says these two young stars are like family and they're excited to begin this new era.
The interview is interrupted by #1 Paul Jones claiming he's had enough of the Hart family thinking they own wrestling in Canada. Jones talks about his own long history wrestling throughout Canada and he doesn't think the Harts are anything special! In fact, Jones is shocked that Ronnie Garvin will be coming to Calgary to pay tribute to Stu Hart when they are tougher and better wrestlers than the Harts ever were! Bret tells Jones that if he's got such strong feelings, he can step into the ring and back it up!
Jones reminds the Harts he's retired but he has brought wrestlers north of the border with him to take control of the Canadian Wrestling scene - and he is then joined by an absolute specimen he introduces as Ken Wayne Shamrock as well as Commonwealth Tag Team Champions The Asian Assassins, Kenta Kobashi and Mitsuharu Misawa! Jones insists his men will hold all of the gold here in Wrestling International and the Harts will have to cry in their little Dungeon. Flyin' Brian gets on the microphone and says the Harts don't need anyone to stand up for them, but he won't sit here and let them be disrespected. Tonight, Flyin' Brian challenges any two members of Jones' group to face him and Phil Lafon! Jones smiles and says he'll see them in the ring later on.

Whalen questioned whether The Bruisers have their sights set on those Commonwealth Tag Team Championships held by The Asian Assassins since Davey's brother-in-laws Bret Hart and Jim Neidhart are also after the gold. Davey says he has all the respect in the world for the Harts and the Hart Foundation but when it comes to the ring, him and Johnny will take on any team... no matter if they're family or not!
****COMMERCIAL BREAK****
#1 Paul Jones shows extensive training footage of his prospect, Ken Wayne Shamrock. Jones narrates over footage of Shamrock in the ring, insisting this man is too tough to bother with the Dungeon. Jones claims his man has the most dangerous hold in all of wrestling, as the camera slows down while Shamrock hits a perfect belly-to-belly suplex in training. Jones says Ken Wayne Shamrock will be the Commonwealth Champion!
Match #3: 15 Minute TV Time Limit:
Commonwealth Heavyweight Champion Bruce Hart defeated The Wrestling Pro at 7:33 when he came off the top rope with a missile dropkick to score the pin on the masked man.
Ed Whalen spoke with Bruce Hart at ringside about the claims by #1 Paul Jones that this newcomer Ken Wayne Shamrock would be the man to wrestle the Commonwealth Heavyweight Championship away from the Hart family. Bruce clarifies that the belt is solely around his waist and if this Shamrock kid wants to test himself, he's glad to give him a shot on March 15 for Legends Appreciation Night. Hart reminds Ed he's stretched plenty of rookies in the Dungeon with father Stu and he doesn't think Ken Wayne Shamrock will be any different!
****COMMERCIAL BREAK****
In a filmed promo, Commonwealth Jr. Heavyweight Champion Nelson Royal spoke about his defense against Owen Hart at the Legends Appreciation Night. Nelson warns Owen that while he might be the best young wrestler in the world today, Royal has decades of experience on his side that will always give him the edge against a "greenhorn"... even one trained in the Dungeon. Royal promises he will stretch Owen Hart and make him scream for mercy... just because he can.
Match #4: TV Time Remaining
Ken Wayne Shamrock and The Asian Assassins (w/ #1 Paul Jones) defeated Flyin' Brian, Dan Kroffat and "The Rocket" Owen Hart when Shamrock caught Kroffat in the belly-to-belly suplex for the victory.
Following the match, Shamrock jumped on Flyin' Brian and battered him with shots across the back of the head. Dan Kroffat intervened, but was attacked from behind by Kobashi and Misawa. Before long, Bret Hart, Jim Neidhart and Bruce Hart ran in to clear the ring as Paul Jones on the floor about his men defeating the Harts!
Before the show went off the air, a brief filmed promo with the young team the Canadian Bulldogs, Ben Bassarab and Chris Benoit, said they were here to carry on the legacy of their hero, the Dynamite Kid. Bassarab insisted him and Benoit are willing to put their bodies through hell because that's what Dynamite did while he was inspiring kids like them.
