Jim Ross and Bob Caudle welcome everyone to Saturday Night Superstars LIVE here on the Superstation!!!!! What a program we have in store for you today!!! Sting is here with his MYSTERY PARTNER and they will face the World Tag Team Champions “The Enforcer” Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard and if Sting and his partner win then they will get a shot at the World Tag Titles live on Pay Per View, at the Clash of the Champions on March 19!!!! Also here today, United States Champion “The Widowmaker” Barry Windham will be in non title action, Harley Race has brought a new team over from Japan to debut here this week, the Rock N Roll Express will take on the Youngbloods and Terrance Taylor meets Brad Armstrong!!! Quite an exciting night here on the Superstation!!!

Harley joined Jim Ross and Bob Caudle on commentary during the match explaining how Sasaki and Hase were two of the best young wrestlers to come out of the dojos in Japan and how they are the future of professional wrestling. Race says he will lead them to greatness. When Ross brings up Orton losing to Duggan last week and Orndorff now having to defend the title against Duggan at Clash of the Champions, Race blows up and says that Orton failed him and he does not accept failure!!!! Race says he has fired Orton for being incompetent!!!! Race says that Orndorff will wipe the floor with Duggan at Clash of the Champions!

Jim Ross and Bob Caudle are joined by the man who will challenge “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff at Clash of the Champions for the National Heavyweight Title, “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan!!! Last week Duggan defeated “Cowboy” Bob Orton Jr to win the title match! Ross asks Duggan if he is ready for his title shot!!
Hacksaw Duggan: You know Jimmy, I may not be the best looking wrassler here on the Superstation, I may not have the prettiest face or the biggest muscles, my stomach may poke out just a little bit, and I probably enjoy a little more beer and hamburgers than I should but I know when that bell rings I can FIGHT better than anyone in that locker room!!! So yes, I am ready to take on Mr. Blunderful Paula Orndorff at the Clash of the Champions!!!! James J Dillon and Barry Windham join Jim Ross and Bob Caudle at ringside, Jim Ross brings up Clash of the Champions and how before we went to air today it was announced that “Wildfire’ Tommy Rich will get one more shot at Barry Windham and the US Title at Clash of the Champions!!!!!
James J Dillion: The Championship Committee seems hellbent on giving Mr. Rich one more chance at a faded glory. We all know Mr. Rich’s accomplishments, he indeed was one of the few men who was able to climb the ladder all the way to the top and become the World Heavyweight Champion here on the Superstation. He has held titles and won accolades all over the wrestling world but his day has passed him by and at Clash of the Champions he is going to finally learn that lesson.
Barry Windham: Tommy Rich, I won’t stand here and take anything away from you. You have had a storied career, you are a former World Heavyweight Champion but if you think you are going to relive your glory days by taking this title away from me than you have another thing coming. 1989 is the year of the Horsemen, the 90’s will be the DECADE of the Horsemen and nothing is going to stand in our way!! So at Clash of the Champions, March 19, live on Pay Per View from the Norfolk Scope you get one more chance at glory, you get to climb in the ring with a member of the Horsemen and try and take this title from me, but Rich the only thing that is gonna happen is your old lady is gonna find out EXACTLY why they call me THE WIDOWMAKER!!!!!!

Tommy Rich: You know guys, I’m a simple man. Always have been, always will be. I get in my pick up truck, drive on down to the matches and I leave everything I got, blood, sweat and tears in that ring, night in and night out!!! I’ve soared with the eagles and I have slithered with the snakes. I have been as a rich as a king and as poor as a pauper and that’s all been in the same week!!!! I’ve won the World Heavyweight Title in the Omni in Atlanta, Georgia and I been beaten so bad they had to take me out of the ring in a stretcher in over a dozen arenas all around the world. I have wrassled in over a dozen countries and I wrassled in dirty, run down gyms on the back roads in Alabama. I have done everything you can imagine and things you never could but I keep getting back on my feet and walking that aisle, night after night. I keep fighting day in and day out and I am not going to stop now because some jerks in suits tell me to!! Barry Windham, I know I can beat you for the United States Title, I know any given day I can beat ANYONE who gets in that ring with me!! I know it cause when the going gets tough, when things seem like they can’t get any worse, when I am covered in my own blood and my body feels like it’s gonna break, THESE PEOPLE CHEERS BRING ME BACK TO LIFE!!!!! I do what I do for these people right here in the stands, from the people on the front row to the family that saved every last penny they could and ate nothing but beanie weenies for a week so they could afford tickets in the cheap seats at the very top of the arena!!!!! Jim Ross says that at Clash of the Champions Mexican Sensation Konnan El Barbaro will make his debut!!!! Jim Ross sends us to a music video set to Autograph’s “Turn up the Radio”
The video shows the masked man having brawls with different wrestlers, executing high flying moves off the top rope and lots of high impact moves inside the ring. Also shows Konnan locking on the STF, hitting rolling clotheslines, spinning heal kicks and release german suplexes. Video ends with Konnan, with mask on and all, riding down the road on a Harley Davidson with the graphics flashing across the ring “KONNAN EL BARBARO IS COMING TO CLASH OF THE CHAMPIONS”
Brad Armstrong is in the ring when we come back ,Terrance Taylor and Mr. Jones comes out of the locker room and Taylor goes over to Jim Ross and Bob Caudle.
Terrance Taylor: I still think it is preposterous that I am being FORCED to have this match with Brad Armstrong on this program today. Let me tell you right now I WILL NOT wrestle here today!!! I have here a writ from my attorney that says that I am allowed to select an ALTERNATE to take my place if I so deem it necessary, so Brad Armstrong tonight you do not wrestle Terrance Taylor, no you wrestle MR. JONES here!!!!! And what Mr. Jones is about to do to you is not our fault but is completely and fully the fault of the matchmakers continually and habitually WASTING MY TIME!!!!!! SO Mr. Jones, go handle my light work!!!
BRAD ARMSTRONG DEFEATS MR. JONES WITH TERRANCE TAYLOR @9:18 AFTER HITTING JONES WITH A SIDE RUSSIAN LEGSWEEP!!!!!!
Jones went into the match planning on just hurting Brad Armstrong, at no point did it even seem like he was trying to win the match as it seemed like he was trying to cripple the young man. Terrance Taylor remained on commentary where he not only ran down Brad Armstrong but ran down almost everyone in the locker room. Brad made a big come back and caught Jones with the Side Russian Legsweep for the victory! Taylor was angrier than ever after Armstrong’s win!!!!!!

Back from the break new Commissioner Mr. Wrestling II is out with Jim Ross and Bob Caudle!!! II announces that next week Terrance Taylor will face Brad Armstrong on Saturday Night Superstars and if Taylor refuses he not only will be fined but also suspended INDEFINITELY!!!

Gary Hart leads King Tonga to Jim Ross and Bob Caudle and they are also joined by the United States Tag Team Champions, “Taskmaster” Kevin Sullivan and “Mad Dog” Buzz Sawyer, the Slaughterhouse!! Ross says that Tonga has been destroying everyone in his path since Gary Hart brought him to the Superstation and asks about if the Slaughterhouse is ready to face the Steiner Brothers in the Singapore Death Match at Clash of the Champions.
Gary Hart: King Tonga comes from a long line of Warrior Kings Jim Ross, men who lead their people into some of the most brutal battles in the history of the world. King Tonga is a descendant of men who would tear you apart with one hand.And now he is here on the Superstation with one goal, to destroy everything in his path. With Clash of the Champions upon us, he has instructed me to make this open challenge!!! Any wrestler in the back, anyone watching on the television, anyone who thinks they can, step up and take on King Tonga at Clash of the Champions!!! As for the Steiner Brothers, I will let the Taskmaster address that situation.

THE ROCK N ROLL EXPRESS DEFEATS THE YOUNGBLOODS IN A BACK AND FORTH BATTLE THAT THE YOUNGBLOODS CAME CLOSE TO WINNING SEVERAL TIMES!!! RICKY PINS CHRIS CATCHING HIM WITH A ROLL UP @10:14
After the match the Youngbloods are visually upset. Ricky and Robert offer handshakes, it takes a moment but the Youngbloods finally shake the Rock N Roll Express’ hands, BUT THEN THE YOUNGBLOODS ATTACK RICKY AND ROBERT!!!!!!!!
The Youngbloods absolutely annihilate the Rock N Roll Express, going as far as slamming Ricky’s head into the ring post and beating Robert down in the ring. Rick is busted open after hitting the ringpost!!! Chris takes Ricky’s blood and smears it on his chest as he lets out a war cry!!! Jim Ross and Bob Caudle are sickened by the attack and send us to commercial break!!!

Jim Ross and Bob Caudle are still shocked by what they saw!! We go to a replay of the Youngbloods attacking the Rock N Roll Express, they say that officials and wrestlers came out and helped Ricky and Robert to the locker room. They then bring out the former World Heavyweight Champion and the man who will get his rematch at Clash of the Champions on March 19th, Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat.
Ricky Steamboat: You first thing I have to say is I am SHOCKED at what just happened out here. As you know Jay Youngblood was like a brother to me, we held the World Tag Titles multiple times and we were closer than family. I always considered both Mark and Chris as family as well and I cannot believe what I just saw!! I have to believe that was a momentary lapse of judgement because that doesn’t seem like the young men I have known for so long. I hope to be able to speak to them soon. Now putting that aside, we are only a few weeks away from Clash of the Champions and my rematch with Ric Flair for the World Heavyweight Championship. I have been in the most intense training in my life for this match because I know what is at stake and I know what I have to do. Last time Ric, I went into the match believing our friendship was strong enough for you to fight against the worst of your nature, I was wrong. So this time I am going into this match expecting you to go lower than you ever have, to stoop to depths that no one has ever seen in order for you to keep the title and I will be prepared for it. Anything you try and throw at me “Nature Boy” I will be ready for. Because this time, THIS TIME, I am not going into the match with a friend, I am going into this match with an enemy, with a DEVIL who I will not stop until I have not only defeated and regained the World Heavyweight Championship from but one whom I plan to leave in the middle of that ring BROKEN AND BATTERED!!!!!! Dillon. Ross first brings up the match later tonight as Arn and Tully face Sting and a mystery partner in a non title match!!!
Arn Anderson: It really doesn’t matter who Sting brings out as his partner Jim Ross, because no matter who it is THEY AIN’T A HORSEMAN!!!!! You see, the Horsemen are the ELITE in professional sports. We are the cream of the crop, we are the greatest combination of talent that has ever come together with a common goal. So whomever it is that Sting brings out later tonight, they are gonna find out just what happens when you try and reap the whirlwind!!!!
Tully Blanchard: And the thing is, once we dispose of Sting and whatever idiot he brings with him tonight, we won’t have a match at Clash of the Champions!! So Arn and I will have to find a way to keep all the girls in the penthouse of the Hilton in Norfolk busy while Naitch and Barry take care of business!!!!!!!

Ross and Caudle lose it on commentary as Terry Funk steps out of the locker room!!! In the ring Arn, Tully and JJ absolute lose their minds!!!! JJ is trying to call the whole thing off!!!!! Sting and Funk hi five each other and then slide into the ring and the fight is ON!!!!!!!

It’s an all out war between the two teams, JJ interferes liberally and blatantly during the match, the Horsemen actually get Funk in some trouble for a bit but he is able to make a comeback and tag in Sting who goes off on both men!!! The finish sees Arn and Terry brawling into the damn crowd while Sting and Tully battle in the ring!!! Sting hits a Stinger Splash in the corner and then follows it up with a Super Stinger Splash off the top rope!!!! As soon as the bell rings Ric Flair and Barry Windham have hit the ring!!!!! They are double teaming Sting while Arn and Funk are brawling in the crowd!!!! Suddenly Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat and “Wildfire” Tommy Rich come running out!!!!!
