Marc Lowrance opens the show.
Lowrance, “Welcome to Fort Worth, where the west begins. We are here tonight to not only enjoy great wrestling action, but also to honor one of the greats of wrestling. Now a ten bell salute to Kerry Von Erich. Rest In Peace Kerry. Now, Doyle King will get us started.”

Chaz vs. “Maniac” Mike Davis
The popular Chaz meets the “Maniac”. Davis keeps up his reputation as a wild man. He mauls Chaz from the opening bell, but the popular young man rallies. The crowd gets behind him and he wins with a sunset flip. We have a new fan favorite in Texas.
Winner- Chaz
Match #2
Jimmy Jack Funk vs. Alex Porteau
Funk is a wild man, but the fans seem to love him. He goes right after the “Pug”. Alex fights back, and we have a brawl. Funk traps Porteau in the corner. Porteau fights his way out. The brawl continues until JJ hits the shoulder breaker for the win, a great debut for the man from the Double Cross Ranch.
Winner- Jimmy Jack Funk

Johnny Mantell vs. Moadib w/General Skandor Akbar
Mantell waits in the ring. Akbar leads a huge man to the ring. He grabs the mic from Doyal King.
Akbar, “Listen to me you stupid Americans! Tonight I debut my new man. He will destroy anyone in his path! I give to you…Moadib the Nubian Terror!”
Referee James Beard calls for the bell. Moadib is massive, and he uses his power to control the early moments. Mantell is very skilled, and he needs that to combat Moadib. Johnny puts up a good fight, but the huge African lands a leg drop for the win. Akbar has a monster on his hand.

“Gentleman” Chris Adams vs. “Hollywood” John Tatum
The “Gentleman” from Stratford on Avon takes on the arrogant blond from Hollywood. Adams starts fast. Tatum is in trouble, and he rolls out of the ring. He argues with the ringsiders. Tatum returns to the ring, and begins to slow the pace. He uses all his underhanded tactics, and now Adams is on the defensive. The match goes back and forth until Adams hits the super kick for the win.
Winner- Chris Adams

“Bad Boy” Billy Black and “Outlaw” Joel Deaton w/Buddy Roberts vs. The Simpson Brothers
This tag team match has mayhem written all over it. John Keaton is your referee. Shaun Simpson starts with Deaton. Simpson uses his speed, and Deaton counters with roughhouse tactics. The action goes back and forth. Shaun tags in his older brother. Steve gains the advantage. Deaton tags in Black, and the “Bad Boy” goes right after Simpson. The pace of the match increases. Finally, all four men end up on the ring. Keaton can’t control the action. He calls for the bell, and disqualifies both teams.
Result- Double Disqualification

The Patriot vs. Black Bart w/General Skandor Akbar
The popular masked man meets the rugged cowboy. Akbar puts the badmouth on the Patriot. That won’t faze him. The bell rings and we are underway. The Patriot is very athletic, and uses that to keep Bart on the defensive. Akbar shouts instructions from ringside. Bart roughs up the masked man, and now he has the momentum. The Patriot mounts a comeback, and wins with the Patriot middle. Akbar is livid.
Winner- The Patriot
Marc Lowrance is in the ring.
Lowrance, “Fans, what a night of action, and the best is yet to come. This has been a fitting tribute to Kerry. Speaking of the Von Erichs, we have a special guest, the patriarch of the family, Fritz Von Erich.”
Fritz comes to the ring and the crowd goes crazy. Fritz is holding a title belt.
Lowrance, “Welcome Fritz. We have tried to honor Kerry tonight.”
Fritz, “Our family thanks everyone who is here tonight. We miss Kerry, and he was a great wrestler, and a great son.”
Lowrance, “I see you have a title belt with you.”
Fritz, “This is the Texas Title. It has been inactive for several years. Max Andrews contacted me about donating this to the GWF. I would be proud if they would reactivate this title.”
Lowrance, “Well, first of all thank you Fritz, we are proud to have his title. I also have some information about what will happen. On Saturday night, April 22, there will be a one night tournament to fill this title. The tournament will take place in Denton on the campus of North Texas University at the famous ‘Super Pit’. You know the action will be fantastic. Stay tuned to GWF programming for more information.”

Iceman King Parsons vs. The Super Destroyer w/General Skandor Akbar
Akbar’s night has been a mixed bag. We will see how the masked man fares. The SD jumps Parsons before the bell. Parsons is in trouble. Iceman fires back. Now the Super D is in retreat. Akbar shouts instructions from ringside. The match is fast paced, and Parsons has the edge. SD makes a comeback, but Parsons counters. We go back and forth until Iceman hits the butt bump for the win. Akbar is frustrated.
Winner- Iceman King Parsons

Global Jr. Heavyweight Championship
“Hurricane” Mike Dahl (Champion) vs. Manuel Villalobos
This will be a fast paced contest. The fans love the “Hurricane”. Villalobos has turned his back on his fans. The bell rings and we are underway. Dahl moves quickly, and he has the momentum. Villalobos fights back. He uses underhanded tactics to take over. He kicks and punches and the Champion is in trouble. Dahl rallies. He takes over and wins with the sunset flip.

Global Tag Team Championship
Bobby Duncum Jr. and Big John Hawk (Champions) w/Buddy Roberts vs. Tribal Nation
This will be a great one. John Keaton will be your referee. Buddy Roberts might be the difference. Duncum and Nocona open the contest. Both men are good wrestlers, and they show it. They exchange holds and counter holds. Things begin to go Nocona’s way. “Tex” Roberts shouts instructions from ringside. Duncum is able to tag in Hawk, and the big man from Sweetwater enters the ring. He overpowers Nocona. Hawk slams him and goes for a cover. Nocona kicks out at two. Brave Sky tags in and he is a house afire. He uses tomahawk chops to stun the big Texan. Roberts’ men leave the ring and confer with him. They return, and the action continues. All four men end up in the ring. As Keaton tries to sort things out, Roberts tosses a chair to Hawk. He smashes Brave Sky, and he goes down. He tosses the chair out of the ring and covers Brave Sky. Keaton turns and counts the fall. This was a miscarriage of justice!

“The California Stud” Rod Price (Champion) vs. Kevin Von Erich
This is why the people came to Tarrant County. We hear,
Kevin comes to the ring to Kerry’s song. The crowd goes crazy. The Champ is certainly the “visiting team” tonight. James Beard is your referee. The bell rings and we are underway. Both men wrestle cautiously. They know one wrong move can cost them the match. Things begin to go Price’s way. He uses his strength to work over Kevin. The Ft. Worth crowd is worried. They get behind Kevin. The popular Texan fires back. He now has the momentum. Price rolls out of the ring to regroup. He returns and tries to go back to power moves. Kevin now has the momentum. The crowd rises to their feet. Kevin hits the flying bodypress. Beard counts 1…2…3! Kevin Von Erich is the North American Champion! Wrestlers fill the ring. Fritz Von Erich comes to the ring. He hands the North American Title to Kevin. This is a fantastic moment in Texas wrestling.
