Tonight the FORMER World Champion Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat will be here to address what happened at the Valentine’s Day Massacre! Hacksaw Duggan battles Cowboy Orton and if Duggan wins he will get a shot at Paul Orndorff and the National Title!!! Plus here today the United States Heavyweight Champion Barry Windham is here and will be in six man action with his fellow Horsemen the World Tag Team Champions Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard. “Wildfire” Tommy Rich is here and so is the US Tag Team Champions the Slaughterhouse. We are on the Road to the Clash of the Champions, March 25 live on Pay Per View from the Norfolk Scope!!!!! Let’s get into this weeks action!!!!

Terrance Taylor: Jim Ross, I am FLABBERGASTED at the DISRESPECT I am being shown week in and week out on this television program!!! Last week I had to wrestle that makeup wearing freak Sting, and then this week I take on this loser from Mexico or wherever Hector Guerrero and I hear next week I am facing BRAD ARMSTRONG??? ARE YOU SERIOUS??? I am one of the greatest wrestlers to EVER wrestle!!!!! I should be in marquee matches against the biggest names in the sport, NOT wrestling punks like BRAD ARMSTRONG!!!! If something isn’t done about this, AND SOON, I am going to lose my temper and when I do, I am not going to be responsible for who gets hurt!!!!!

Jim Ross brings out the FORMER World Heavyweight Champion, Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat!! Steamboat comes out and shakes hands with Jim Ross and waves to the fans. Ross says it has been a rough couple of weeks for the Dragon. Ross then takes us back to Valentine’s Day Massacre and the match between Ricky Steamboat and Ric Flair.

?? FLAIR AND STEAMBOAT START TO STIR, THEY SLOWLY GET TO THEIR FEET WHEN POW!!!! FLAIR BLASTS STEAMBOAT WITH A RIGHT HAND!!!!! STEAMBOAT GOES DOWN LIKE HE WAS SHOT!!!! FLAIR QUICKLY MAKES THE COVER AND GETS THE THREE COUNT?!?!?!? WHAT IN THE WORLD JUST HAPPENED HERE?
JJ QUICKLY GRABS THE WORLD TITLE, JUMPS IN THE RING AND HUGS FLAIR!!!!!! STEAMBOAT IS OUT COLD IN THE RING!!! OFFICIALS AND TRAINERS RUSH OUT TO CHECK ON STEAMBOAT AS WINDHAM, ANDERSON AND BLANCHARD ALL COME OUT TO THE RING!!! THEY ARE ALL HUGGING FLAIR!!!!! ROSS SAYS JJ MUST HAVE HANDED SOMETHING TO FLAIR FOR FLAIR TO KNOCK STEAMBOAT OUT WITH!!!!!! HE CAN’T BELIEVE IT!!! FLAIR HAS TURNED HIS BACK ON STEAMBOAT!!!!!

Ross asks Steamboat what his thoughts are about what Ric Flair did, and what does Steamboat plan to do next. Steamboat is quite for a few moments until he finally speaks.
Ricky Steamboat: Let me start off by first saying Jim Ross that I want to thank all the fans out there who have taken the time to send cards and letter expressing their concerns for me and for what happened and for the fans who have stopped and spoken to me about this situation in the passed few weeks. I also want to say thank you to men like Sting, Brad Armstrong, The Rock N Roll Express, Hacksaw Duggan, The Steiner Brothers and Wildfire Tommy Rich who have all expressed their undying support for me at this time. You know Jim, this is the first time I have seen the footage of that night and I have to think back to Starcade 88. I defeated Terrance Taylor for the World Heavyweight Title and that evening was made even more special for me because at the start of the night my good friend Ric Flair had returned to the area. He was the first man in the ring to shake my hand after I won and he was the last man to leave my side when the party ended that night. When the Horsemen began to threaten me, Ric was there at my side swearing to have my back. When he defeated Mr. Taylor to become the #1 contender I was overjoyed to have the opportunity to defend the title against a man I not only considered a friend but also a brother.
I went into the match in Asheville on Valentine’s Night ready for anything, Flair says he is the Dirtiest Player in the Game. He makes no secret about it and everyone knows he has been known to break a rule or two. I fully expected to have to deal with some rulebreaking and I was fine with that, all is fair when you are trying to become the World Champion. But what I could never expect, what I couldn’t imagine in my wildest dreams would be Ric Flair aligning himself with JJ Dillon and the Horsemen. I could never imagine him turning his back on me to that degree. But he did and in doing so he took the thing I worked my entire life for. The World Heavyweight Title.
Ric, we have had our issues over the years but it has been nothing, NOTHING, compared to THIS!!! I sat at home for the last two weeks and considered all my options and yes I thought about walking away from it all, BUT I’M NOT GOING TO DO THAT!!!!!! I want it known that before I came out here for this interview I signed a contract in the back signaling my intention to exercise my rematch clause for the World Title on March 25, at the Norfolk Scope, live on Pay Per View at the Clash of the Champions!!!! And I don’t care if you bring JJ Dillon with you Ric or if you bring Windham or Anderson or Blanchard or anyone else. NO ONE is going to get in my way of getting my title back and getting my revenge on YOU!!!!!!

I gotta phone call from someone I never thought I’d hear from and he said “Stinger I heard you are looking for a partner to take on the Horsemen, COUNT ME IN!!!!!” So Horsemen!!!!! Jim Ross has been joined by JJ Dillon, United States Champion “Widowmaker” Barry Windham and World Tag Team Champions Arn “The Enforcer” Anderson and Tully Blanchard!!!!! Ross asks about the challenge made by Sting just now!!!!
JJ Dillion: I find it amusing that Sting would think that we would just jump at the chance to face him and some unknown partner for the World Tag Team Titles, it shows the immaturity of the man and his complete and utter lack of business acumen. But I have spoken to the Tag Team Champions and Sting we will do this, you want a shot at these titles, well Mr. Anderson and Mr. Blanchard would like nothing more than to teach you a lesson for your discretions last week so this is what we propose, You and you mystery partner, whomever it may be, come to TBS next week and face these men in a NON TITLE match here on Saturday Night Superstars, and if you and your partner win then you two can have your shot at the Tag Titles at Clash of the Champions, live on Pay Per View from the Norfolk Scope on March 25th.
Tully Blanchard: You see Sting where you made your mistake is you underestimated just how much we want to get you in the ring and teach you a lesson and punk, next week? We are going to do just that to you and to whomever is foolish enough to be your partner!!!!
Arn Anderson: You better think real carefully before you sign on the dotted line Sting, because you have to beat us to get the title shot, we don’t have to do anything to lose!!!!! Think real hard Stinger, because the life you save MAY BE YOUR OWN!!!!!!!

During the match the Youngbloods put up one helluva a fight and actually almost score a pinfall on Tully Blanchard but Peterson ended up being no match for the Widowmaker once he got caught in the Iron Claw!!!! After the Match Sting made his way back out to ringside!!!

Hacksaw Duggan: Let me tell you something Jim Ross, ol’ Hacksaw is ready to have a good ol fashioned brawl in the ring tonight!!!! I know Cowboy Orton pretty well and I know he is rough and tough man, and he is also someone who can’t be trusted!!! So I am coming into the match ready for anything, TOUGH GUY!!!!!! Tommy Rich: You know Jim Ross, I want it and Barry Windham knows if he gets in the ring with me again he’ll probably lose the title, so he is running scared!!! I just gotta hope the Championship Committee votes my way and gives me a shot whether its here on TV, or at the Scope in Nofolk on Pay Per View at the Clash of the Champions or in some gym somewhere in some town ain’t no one ever heard of!!! I don’t care where I get the shot as long as I get it!!!!

Jim Ross and Bob Caudle have been joined by the World Heavyweight Champion “Nature Boy” Ric Flair and his manager James J. Dillion. Ross asks Flair about the statements made by former World Heavyweight Champion Ricky Steamboat earlier in the program.
Ric Flair: Brother, it is so hard to be humble when you are THE NATURE BOY!!! Jim Ross, Bob Caudle, I am not going to stand here and take anything away from Ricky Steamboat. You all know just as know that he is one of the premier athletes in professional wrestling today. He is conditioned better than most, and he has honed his skill in a way that most never will. But the fact of the matter is as great as he is, he isn’t Ric Flair. Now Steamboat, you can come out here and tell the world how I broke you heart, you can cry and whine like a WOMAN about your feelings but no one wants to hear it. Emotions have no place in the professional wrestling ring. So on March 19th, Clash of the Champions, Norfolk Scope, PAY PER VIEW!!!!!! Steamboat and Flair are gonna do it one more time. No I can’t help it that I am custom made, I can’t help it that I am the greatest wrestler alive today, so Steamboat you think long and hard. You really think about it, do you really want to jump on The Nature Boy? I let you off easy on Valentines Day. I let you walk away, but at the Norfolk Scope, Clash of the Champions Ricky. HAHAHA. I have just returned for Japan and I have discovered the next great tag team in professional wrestling and I will be bringing them here to the Superstation next week!!!!!!
Paul Orndorff: Mr. Race has indeed found an amazing Tag Team, but I wanna talk about you Duggan!! What kinda fool are you?? Do you know what Orton is going to do to you tonight? You could have just minded your business, done your own thing but NO you had to try and take what is mine!!!!! The National Heavyweight Title belongs to ME and NO ONE is going to take it from me!!!! An all out brawl that spilled to the floor several times. Race blatantly cheated throughout the match to help Orton, Duggan looked like he might lose to a Sleeper Hold but was able to fight his way back into the match. After the match was over Duggan celebrated in the crowd as Orndorff rushed the ring and tried to jump Duggan. Orton sat in the ring while Race and Orndorff yelled at him for losing the match!!! Hacksaw Jim Duggan will now get a one on one match with Mr. Wonderful for the National Heavyweight Title!!!!!
