JR: Welcome everyone to Smoky Mountain Wrestling. I am Jim Ross and with me is a legend in the sport, Bobby “The Brain” Heenan. Folks, we are not only on our local stations with you, the fans, we are national on The Nashville Network. So much is going on this week. We are a 6 days away from Brawl in the Hall from the Freedom Hall. We are 7 days away from our heading to the Grand Ole Opry House for our next TV show. This week alone we are going to set the finals for the SMW tag team titles by having two semi-final matches. We have JJ Dillon debuting his first SMW signee. But the main event…folks…It was announced earlier that SMW has joined with the United States Wrestling Association and in that joining we are going to see the USWA world heavyweight champion Jerry “The King” Lawler defending the title.

BH: You are also going to see the greatest party ever when the Memphis Mafia has their celebration party right here today. Great job Buddy Landel.

JR: Yes fans, last week Buddy Landel defeated Brad Armstrong to win the SMW heavyweight championship in controversial ways.

BH: Did he pin that brat Armstrong?

JR: Yes.

BH: Nothing controversial about it.

JR: I am sure we will hear more about it later. Bobby, here is when we pick a name out of a hat to face off against the Beat the Champ television championship. Would you pick that name out of this hat?

BH: Is that how you hicks pick contenders? No wonder people like Tim Horner are champions.

JR: I will do it then.

BH: Don’t take my job away from me. Give me that hat.

**Heenan reaches in and picks a name while grumbling about how it is his job, damn it**

BH: Here *hands JR the name.**

JR: You don’t want to read it?

BH: Do I have to do everything? What is it you do here? The name is Rick Michaels.

JR: There you have it Rick Michaels will face “White Lightning” Tim Horner. Fans, it is time for the action to start. Our first match will be one of the two tag team tournament semi-finals. It will be The Thrill Seekers taking on Bryant & Brad Anderson, The Minnesota Wrecking Crew.

JJ: Jim Ross, I told you I would lead these two to title gold. They are a special pedigree. Together, their fathers held 66 tag team titles between them. They are one match away from being the Smoky Mountain tag team champions and that is just the beginning.

JR: Some will say you interfered to get that win.

JJ: I don’t care what some will say. Did the referee count three and give the Minnesota Wrecking Crew the win?

JR: Yes.

JJ: Then that is all that matters. Now if you will excuse me, I have teaching and guidance to give.

**JJ leaves as we are sent to Eric Bischoff in front of a SMW Brawl in the Hall graphic.**

AL: Eric Bischoff, I just want you to sit and listen….or stand and listen….how about you just give me the mic and listen. **he takes the mic** I have been in Smoky Mountain Wrestling since it opened and I have wrestled the who is who here. It seems though my partner and friend. Bob Holly, couldn’t take the competition and left. That puts me in the singles division and that, is bad for you Tim Horner. I have worked hard for a decade to get where I am and I am coming for that title belt. 6 days left and you are no longer champion.

BH: Best of all you get me giving you the expert commentary you need. They don’t call me the “brain” for nothing.

JR: Right now it is time to figure out who the other half of the SMW tag team title tournament will be. We are going to see The Rock N’Roll Express take on The Heavenly Bodies. Oh God, what does he want now?

**Jim Cornette comes out with his Heavenly Bodies**

JC: Jim Ross and the always exceptional Bobby Heenan, I have something that needs to be said here. Due to the numerous amount of groupies that follow my Heavenly Bodies around, I have been forced to get security. I have been forced to get a bodyguard. Now, throughout my decade in this business, there has been one man I an trust to always protect me so I called him. Let me show you the head of security for the Heavenly bodies….BIG BUBBA ROGERS!!!!!!!

**Bubba Rogers comes out and joins them**

BBR: Listen here, Jim Ross…you know I am all about law and order. You know I stand for justice and punishment. So when Jimmy called me and told me his problems, I knew I had to come here and make sure order is done.

JC: You heard him. Now, let’s get to the ring and show those hooligans what a real tag team can do.

**They head to the ring as the Rock N” Roll Express come out to start the match.**

JC: WE WERE JUST ROBBED!!! CALL THE POLICE!!!! BUBBA!!!! DO SOMETHING!!!!

JR: You got caught, Corney. You lost.

JC: Listen here, cowboy…I am saying this right here and now and I mean this from the bottom of my mother’s money. At no way will The Rock N’ Roll Express win the Smoky Mountain tag team titles. It won’t happen, it will never happen. I will make sure of it.

BBR: Rock N Roll’s, you two boys are about to learn why I am the baddest of the bad. You boys are in for a world of hurt.

JC: And that is something you can take to the bank.

JR: Folks, let’s head to Eric Bischoff at the Brawl in the Hall information zone.

**We go to Bischoff**

EB: Thank you JR. Earlier we heard from the challenger to the TV title. Now we know who the other finalists are in the Smoky Mountain tag team title tournament. The Rock N’ Roll Express will be facing this team Bryant & Brad Anderson with JJ Dillon, the Minnesota Wrecking Crew. JJ?

JJ: Eric Bischoff, what you have before you is the greatest second generation tag team in the business today. They have the skills and toughness of their fathers. They have the brains of yours truly and that makes them the best tag team in the world today. Rock N’ Roll Express, you are a good team, even a great team. But at no time have you beaten the Andersons. At no time have you taken anything from any combination of Anderson and next Sunday night at Brawl in the Hall, you won’t do it then.

EB: Bryant, Brad?

JJ: They don’t need to talk, Eric. I am their manager. I do the talking. They do the wrestling. As far as I am concerned right here and about this, the talking is done. Rock N’ Roll Express, 6 days and then you are done.

JR: We are back and what a show so far.

BH: It has been alright. I mean, we are in some school instead of some place real. The average age of the student here is 35 and that is for the lower grades.

JR: Will you stop? Folks, it is time for the Smoky Mountain Beat the Champ Television championship match. Champion “White Lightning” Tim Horner has won two weeks already and $2000 so far. Here is his chance for three.

BH: I can see why people are getting excited. $2000 is a year’s pay for these yokels. I don’t get out of bed for $2000.

JR: I am sure. Fans, let’s get to the ring for the action.

**Horner comes to JR and when he does, “Bullet” Bob comes out as well holding a bag. **

BA: Jim Ross, I hope you don’t mind me coming out here. I have something to say.

JR: You go a head, Bob.

BH: Aren’t you going to ask me if I don’t mind?

BA: No. Tim, congratulations on your third week and third win.

TH: Thank you, Bob.

BA: Now, you know about the merger with USWA and the new air time on TNN, right?

TH: Of course.

BA: Great. So what I have to say to you is this. With the new mergers and new airtime the board has decided to award you as the current television champion.

TH: Oh have they?

BA: Yes they have. First, they are going to give you the other $2000 that you would have gotten if you won the next two weeks. Second, they are going to retire the Beat The Champ Tv title concept and instead offer you this. **He reaches in the bag and pulls out a new title belt.** This here is the national television title. Since we are going national on TNN, the board figured a national television title would be a better way to show how important this title is.

**He hands Tim the title**

TH: Thanks Bob and thank you to the board for the vote of confidence. I will defend this title with pride for the fans and for… oh man. Come on, second time.

**Tracy Smothers comes out**

TS: Hey man, listen. I don’t want to interrupt your interview time again.

TH: Then why are you for the second week in a row?

TS: I just want to ask you a question. Why are you avoiding my calls? I tried to call you to talk about last week. Man, Jeff Jarrett needs you and needs your help.

TH: Tracy, listen, I can’t make it clearer than I did last week. I don’t care about what Jeff Jarrett needs. I don’t answer your calls because what Jeff needs doesn’t matter. Did Jeff come to me? No. You interrupted my interview time twice now. This time isn’t about Jeff. To heck with Jeff. This time is about me and my new national tv title. That is my priority, not fighting for Jeff Jarrett. Thank you again Bob. Tracy, don’t bother me with this again.

**He goes to leave. Tracy tries to get his attention but Tim just pushes past him**

TS: Bob, I don’t know what to do about this anymore. This isn’t Tim.

BA: He is doing what he needs to do. Let’s go to the back and talk about it.

**They leave while Heenan is laughing and Ross sends us to commercial.**

JR: We are back from commercial and fans, I want to apologize for Tim Horner. I don’t understand what he was doing and what is issue is.

BH: I do. He doesn’t want to help that jerk Jeff Jarrett and is mad Tracy Smothers can’t get that through his head. Horner is a TV champion for the entire country. He doesn’t have time to get in to fights that Jeff Jarrett starts.

JR: Jeff hasn’t started any fights. Fans, it is time for JJ Dillon to introduce his first member of his stable of wrestlers.

BH: Besides the Minnesota Wrecking Crew.

JR: Has hasn’t said he is their manager. He just said he is watching them for Ole & Gene. Here comes JJ. JJ, who is this new member of JJ Dillon Enterprises?

JJ: Last week I said that there would be a man who is a legend in the sport, a man everyone is familiar with and someone who will lead Smoky Mountain Wrestling in to the future.

JR: Who is it?

JJ: It is no other than….. “THE WIDOWMAKER” BARRY WINDHAM!!!!

**Windham comes down and heads to the ring for his match.**

JJ: Jim Ross… is this not the greatest day in the history of Smoky Mountain? Am I not the greatest manager in the history of Smoky Mountain? You have the man who will lead the company in to the 2000’s and beyond and yes, we are looking that far ahead. No title is safe with Barry Windham here. At any time I can get a title belt around his waist including getting him a partner and taking the Smoky Mountain tag team titles or If I choose, the USWA world tag team titles. I want you all to understand something as well…this is not it. I still have the greatest professional wrestler in the planet set to debut in a couple of weeks. I have a man larger than Barry Windham joining next week, right here on TV. This company will be going to the next level with my men in charge. That is a fact.

JR: What about Bryant & Brad Armstrong?

JJ: I have said I will be giving them advice and watching them as a favor to Ole & Gene. If they don’t win on Sunday then I can’t do anything else for them. They have the tools, they need to do their jobs now. However if they have half the skill their old men do, the titles are as good as theirs. Now if you will excuse me….

**He leads Windham away as we get sent to Eric Bischoff at the Brawl event center**

EB: Welcome back fans. Another match that everyone is looking for is the USWA World tag team championship match where Steve & Scott Armstrong get their shot at Greg “The Hammer” Valentine & Dick Slater with Robert Fuller. Scott, Steve, welcome.

ScA: Eric, it is a pleasure. You don’t know how long we have been waiting for a world tag team title shot. When we didn’t make it in the Smoky Mountain tag team tournament due to nefarious actions, we were spinning our heels. We couldn’t wait to get in the ring again and be tag team champions.

STA: Now we aren’t no strangers with Robert Fuller. We know him. We know Slater & Valentine too. We had a fight or two the last time they were in the area. We know we can beat them. Sunday night at Brawl in the Hall we are going to beat them and become the new world tag team champions.

EB: I don’t doubt that one bit. Fans, we will be right back.

JR: The last commercial is done and it is time for the main event. It is the first defense of the USWA world heavyweight championship. We have seen Jerry “The King” Lawler come out but he has not defended the world title here yet.

BH: Mike Samples is a guy who can get it done. But you are leaving out the important thing. After this match is the Memphis Mafia party where “The King” joins the mafia.

JR: I don’t know that he will. Fans, get ready for the main event.

**After Lawler’s win, Dundee, Landel, and Brian Christopher come out.**

BD: It is time for the party. The Memphis Mafia has the Smoky Mountain heavyweight title in it’s grasp, the United States junior title in it’s grasp and the USWA World heavyweight title in it’s grasp. All that is needed is that TV title and Horner…that will come. Now, King…come join us for the party.

JL: Bill...congratulations Brian and Buddy. You guys did really well in getting your titles but…respectfully, I am not part of this. I told you this backstage and I told all of you this on the phone. I am here to defend the world title and that is it.

BD: Don’t be daft King. You got your start like all of us in Memphis. Your biggest career wins were in Memphis. Hell, that world title you wear around your waist started in Memphis. You are one of the Memphis legends.

JL: All that may be right Bill. But like I said, whatever this is, isn’t for me. I have never been a part of groups. Thank you though.

BL: Lawler…I am telling you now…we have all the titles we want. Don’t make us want yours.

JL: Now Buddy…we both know you are a good wrestler. I am a great wrestler. You and Bill have tried to take titles from me before and sure, you did it a time or two. But remember what always happened in the end. You got this right hand right upside your head and I beat your brains out.

BL: Now hold on, King, no one said nothing about fighting you.

JL: Now, Bill, Buddy, Brian, you guys have a fun rest of your party. Anytime you guys want to feel froggy, just jump on up.

**Lawler leaves as the party goers are surprised by another guest. “Bullet” Bob comes on out.**

BA: Landel, I am still a little hot at the way you cheated to beat Brad for the Smoky Mountain heavyweight title but there is nothing I can do about it now.

BL: That’s right old man. You are helpless to do anything about it except cry and whine that the Memphis Mafia are the champs.

BA: Well…that is where you are wrong. See, part of my power as commissioner is to set up title matches with people I feel are ranked high enough to get the title shot. Now, as you know, you will be defending the title at Brawl in the Hall but you don’t know against who.

BD: And that is a load of bunk.

BA: Well…I know who.

BL: Which one of your loser sons will it be?

BA: Don’t talk about my boys. That won’t end well for you. Now...as I was saying. I searched far and wide for a man who has earned that title shot and I found him.

BL: Let me guess? That punk Jeff Jarrett.

BA: That would be a good match and quite frankly, I think he can kick your butt all over Smoky Mountain. The problem is, the rest of your brood deciding to jump all over him would end that match pretty quick, if you know what I mean. So instead, I decided on someone who is well known in the south, the Mid-South to be exact. This man came in from up north and is a rompin’, stompin’, 6’3, 265lb butt kicking machine. That man is no other than “HACKSAW” JIM DUGGAN!!!! Good luck at the Brawl in the Hall because brother, you are going to need it. Oh…before I forget. If either of your friends here want to get involved, Duggan -will- have his 2x4 to make sure they don’t. Have a good week.
