MAGNUM: We’re less than 24 hours away, Lee! We have a great lineup of matches featuring the greatest wrestlers in the world, the superstars of the UWA! And we’ve got two championship matches tonight! Michael Hayes defends his TV Title against Ranger Ross and World Champion “The Legend” Terry Funk will defend his belt against a great wrestler out of Japan, Tarzan Goto!
MARSHALL: If either of those men loses tonight, it will change the entire card tomorrow night!
MAGNUM: Tonight’s show is really important and you can’t afford to miss a minute of it. Even our first match would be a main event in many arenas around the world!

MIL MASCARAS VS. DEAN MALENKO: A great match between two excellent technical wrestlers. After several near falls, the ten minute time limit expires just as Mil hits his patented flying shoulderblock, The fans give both men a standing ovation for their efforts.

HACKSAW BUTCH REED, “BOOGIE WOOGIE MAN” JIMMY VALIANT, & SOUL TRAIN JONES: Valiant and Reed have both had their problems with the House of Humperdink. The faces are actually dominating the match. Unfortunately, the Russians show up, pull Reed off of the apron and start ganging up on him! Valiant, also on the apron, comes to Butch’s aid and there’s a wild fight on the floor! Soul Train Jones pays the price for his partners’ distraction as the heels all hit him with their finishers and Studd finishes him off with an over the shoulder backbreaker! Jones submits and Studd refuses to release the hold! Reed and Valiant can’t get away from the fight on the floor and help their partner! There’s a roar from the crowd! Here comes Yukon John Nord, carrying an axe handle! Unfortunately, he’s still wearing a neck brace! Nord climbs onto the ring apron. John tears the neck brace off and tosses it into the crowd! Ross uses his speed and athleticism to give Hayes a tough time. Things get hairy when the Iron Sheik comes to ringside and jumps on Slaughter! Slaughter starts to fight back and Gordy and Roberts jump in to help the Sheik! Ross gets distracted and Hayes takes full advantage to roll Ross up and get the pin! FUNK: He’s another one of those great athletes out of Japan. His record over in his homeland earned him this title shot. I can’t go in there and look ahead to Vader tomorrow night! I can’t even be concerned about my brother getting his tail kicked earlier! I have to focus on Tarzan Goto or he’ll be defending against Van Vader at Reunion Arena tomorrow!

TV TITLE MATCH: MICHAEL HAYES© (W/TERRY GORDY & BUDDY ROBERTS) VS. RANGER ROSS(W/SGT. SLAUGHTER): The first of two championship matches tonight. Ross uses his speed and athleticism to give Hayes a tough time. Things get hairy when the Iron Sheik comes to ringside and jumps on Slaughter! Slaughter starts to fight back and Gordy and Roberts jump in to help the Sheik! Ross gets distracted and Hayes takes full advantage to roll Ross up and get the pin! After he is pinned, Ross attempts to get out of the ring to help his friend, but Hayes knees him in the back! Slaughter is being triple teamed and Hayes piledrives Ross! Here comes a chair wielding Kevin Von Erich! Kevin waffles Roberts, Gordy, and Sheik with the chair! Kevin drops the chair and rolls into the ring to go after Hayes! Naturally, the Freebird takes a powder! Kevin grabs the ring mic!
KEVIN: Tomorrow night, Hayes, I’m coming after that title! Bring, Roberts and Gordy with you! I might not be alone myself!
