Pretape with Chris Cruise who is with Z-Man Tom Zenk and a new tag team partner?
Chris: “Fans as the UWF keeps a close eye on contenders for the Mid-South Tag Team Championships to be awarded at The Legacy 3/19. Tom, good to see you, please introduce the fans to your friend here.
Tom: “This is Rob Van Dam, and when the fans get to see him next week, I think they will see he is a very exciting athlete they will want to get behind.
Chris: “Well, Tom, I do have to inform you that you and this man Rob Van Dam will wrestle Larry Zybysko and Billy Jack Haynes, right here next week on Mid-South Wrestling, talk about a trial by fire, Mr. Van Dam! But we should let the fans know, that while you have been wrestling for only three years, you do bring an extensive background in the martial arts before entering this sport.
Tom: "Extensive? Chris you sell this man short. This man is a martial arts legend!
Rob: “You are right Chris Cruise and thank you for mentioning that and Tom, you like to embrass me as always haha and that is why I am in the Mid-South and so happy the Z-Man called me to come in for this match. When I looked at this organization, I see Gary Albright, and Dan Severn, who bring incredible amateur wrestling backgrounds with them. Tony Halme, a body builder and kick boxer. It seems to me Mid-South is a promotion that welcomes athletes from diverse athleteic backgrounds, and that is why I am proud to call the Mid-South my home, and can’t wait to back up the Z-Man here and test my own skills against two of among the most respected wrestlers in this sport, next week, right here.
Chris: “These men Tom Zenk and Rob Van Dam will face Larry Zybysko and Billy Jack Haynes in a spotlight match next week right here on Mid-South, we will be right back fans!

Chris Cruise is live at ringside with STUNNING STEVE AUSTIN and Lady Blossom while Jim Powers stretches in the ring as its announced that Austin will wrestle BOBBY BLAZE next week!
Austin: “Chris Cruise, let me ask you this. Is THIS what it has come to? Is THIS what Stunning Steve Austin has to do to get the attention of the UWF World Heavyweight title championship committee to EARN my spot for a title I should have been handed to on a silver platter? I know all about Bobby Blaze. He’s seems like a nice guy. Hell, he shows a lot of promise in this business. But here is the bottom line: if I have to cripple, hurt, destroy this kid in order to be part of the tournament 3/19 at The Legacy in Shreveport in order to claim . . . TAKE .. . .my destiny and become the UWF World Heavyweight Champion . . .well, by God up above, Mid-South Wrestling, I can NOT be responsible for my actions next week right here on this television program!

“JUMP” by Van Halen plays and here comes The Love Machine, Art Barr!
“LOVE MACHINE” ART BARR V JIM POWERS
Barr and Powers locs up, and trade wrestling moves, and frankly fans, they seem to be in an even match.
Bob: “Well don’t know Bill a lot of hype behind this young man Love Machine and we even featured him at the top of the hour!
Bill: “A lot on the line for Love Machine Art Barr in this debut match, but Jim Powers is here to say, ‘you know what? I’m here too!’
BUT WAIT! HE pokes Powers in the eye, bounces thighs down on the top rope, and clotheslines Powers! Powers staggers up as Love Machine goes for the ropes, Powers ducks another clotheslines but Machine off the opposite ropes and RAMS Powers face first into the mat, cover his 1-2-3!!!
Machine rolls out of the ring, and cockily walks back to the dressing room as Powers is left to argue with the ref, WOW that is something we have not seen before here in Mid-South as Love Machine gets the duke at 4:45!

Bob: “Fans, let’s go to this commentary by Bill Watts!
“Thank you Bob Caudle. Last week I discussed the new trend of ‘hardcore death matches’ in professional wrestling, and now I would like to address another trend that we have seen in pro wrestling as we enter the 90s, the ‘flying wrestler’.
“Look, flying wrestlers have been around ever since I entered the business. Who can forget the exploits of Mil Mascaras, El Santo, Antonino Rocco, Dynamite Kid, Eduard Carpentier, and more recently Tiger Mask and so many others? Heck, we just saw what Love Machine Art Barr just did, and I have to admit, it was exciting to see his athletic resourcefulness in the ring.
“I have also received videotapes of some very exciting wrestlers from Mexico, where flying wrestling has been a big part of the sport there for decades. These are visually very exciting matches to watch.
“One thing that concerns me however is the amount of videotapes I have been receiving from independent wrestlers that do nothing BUT fly. I suspect a few of these young men also lost a lot of money to enter wrestling schools. The only thing I don’t see on these videotapes are wrestling holds, clotheslines, or any other sort of mat ability.
“Contrast that to Love Machine. He sure seems cocky, but noticed he started with a base knowledge of mat wrestling fundamentals, then ADDED his amazing flying attack as a way to find a way to win.
“Remember one thing: in wrestling you EARN your way to the top rope, from the mat up. Believe me the Tiger Masks, Eduard Carpentier, Mil Mascaras’ of the world even without their flying moves would still be among the top wrestlers in the sport. They added flying moves simply for a simple edge---it was never part of their basic skill set. Trust me I know first-hand any of the Guerreros could win any title they wanted . . . .they just added flying moves to gain an extra edge when needed in a very tough match. And yes, I predict one day VERY SOON Love Machine will resemble that remark.
“Fans, yes there will be flying wrestlers in Mid-South Wrestling but the only ones good enough to make it here will be ones who have already demonstrated a superior mat ability.

DAN “THE BEAST” SEVERN!
Hansen enters the ring first and goes right after Kanyon, and lariats him a few times, throws him at Watts allowing them to make the tag, Hansen tags to his new partner and its SEVERN WITH THREE STRAIGHT GERMAN SUPLEXES, AND THE PIN, 1-2-3! FANS HANSEN AND SEVERN WIN IN LESS THAN ONE MINUTE, WHAT AN AWESOME TAG TEAM AS WE HEAD CLOSER AND CLOSER TO THE LEGACY!
After the match, the referee raises both men’s arms, and Natural ties to raise Hansen’s but HANSEN shakes it off and yells at Natural, and then raises hands with Severn and the ref again!
