LR: Yellow everybody and welcome to Memphis Championship Wrestling. I am Lance Russell and with me is Dave Brown and we have a humdinger of a show for you this week. We are going to see Alex Porteau make his debut and he is a really good wrestler.
DB: Yes he is, Lance. He will be taking on Barry Horowitz who is also a great wrestler.
LR: We are going to see the new members of Paul Jones’ Army, Hase & Hashimoto, in tag team action as they take on the team of Junk Yard Dog & “Pistol” Pez Whatley and man, that will be a main event anywhere. The TV champion Steve Keirn will defend the title against the “Georgia Strongman” Dale Veasey and in the main event, time limit remaining, we get the return of “Superstar” Bill Dundee when he takes on Scott Levy.
DB: That is something I am going to look forward to.
LR: You and me both, Dave. So fans, let’s get to the action. Dave if you will do the introductions?
/
/
Single Match: Alex Porteau def. Barry Horowitz
/
/
**Davey & Johnny Rich come out to see Lance**
LR: Wecome Davey & Johnny.
DR: You know Lance, I wish we were out here for happier reasons. Last week we were in a number one contendership match with the Stud Stable and they cheated to win. Now, we were supposed to have a rematch last Monday and that didn’t happen so we want them this Monday at the Mid-South Coliseum. If they have the guts, they will agree.
**The Stud Stable, Robert Fuller & Jimmy Golden, come out**
LR: Now fellas, we don’t want any roughhousing or brawling out here.
JG: There ain’t going to be, Lance. Me and Robert just have something to say. You didn’t get your rematch because as everyone saw, we beat you and took our title match WHICH, we wrestled to a time limit draw with the champions. That means we get another match with them, not you.
RF: What my cousin Jimmy means, boys, a match with you don’t matter. We beat you already.
JR: So what you are saying is, the Stud Stable aren’t studs, they are cowards.
RF: NOW YOU WAIT ONE DANG MINUTE!!!! Me and Jimmy are not cowards. We just don’t need to wrestle you no more.
**This interaction brings out matchmaker Eddie Marlin**
EM: Listen here, Fuller & Golden…you don’t make the matches. I do. Now I can’t do anything about you two cheating last week. I -can- do something about a rematch so this Monday night you two -will- wrestle Johnny & Davey Rich.
JG: And if we don’t?
EM: You can kiss any rematch for the MCW tag team titles goodbye.
RF: You can’t do that.
EM: I -can- do that and I did do that.
RF: Ok, fine. You two punks want that match on Monday you got it but when you are out laying all bloody and beaten, you can thank Eddie Marlin for that.
LR: Fans, we will be right back.
**Begin VTR of Lance standing with Al Snow & Johnny V**
LR: This Monday night at the Mid-South Coliseum we are going to see no less than two title defenses an a big 6 match card. Not only are we going to see Jeff Jarrett & Billy Joe Travis in tag team action, we are going to see a non-title match between this man Al Snow, and the junior heavyweight champion, Jerry Lynn. Al?
JV: Listen here pal, I speak for my men. They don’t need to talk to you. They don’t want to talk to you.
LR: Ok, Johnny Valiant…your guy Al has a tough wrestler in Jerry Lynn in a non-title match on Monday.
JV: A non-title match. Know why it is a non-title match? Because Jerry Lynn is a coward. He knows his days are numbered and Al Snow is coming for his title. So Al, last week you didn’t let us down. Don’t let us down this week. You won’t like what happens to those who do.
AS: Johnny V, I won’t let you guys down. Jerry Lynn…your beating is coming. That title will be mine and Monday Night you will find out why Johnny V has this faith in me.
LR: Fans, make sure you get your tickets.
**End VTR**
.
.
**COMMERCIAL BREAK (Local commercials with ads for house show events interspersed including how to get tickets and be involved in MCW shows & wrestling school.) **
.
.
LR: Welcome back and fans, it is time for tag team action. Hey… here comes a team, Junk Yard Dog & Pez Whatley. Welcome fellas.
JYD: **makes dog sounds** We are so happy to be here Lance…
LR: You are about to face off against an unknow team from Paul Jones. I don’t know about those guys. They can be sneaky.
PW: It don’t matter how sneaky Paul Jones and his guys are. We know all about them. We are ready for them.
JYD: We are going to face them nose to nose and bury them like we would a bone **makes more dog noises**
JR: Good luck guys.
**They head to the ring as Paul Jones leads his two Japanese guys out. He wants to come talk but Lance refuses and asks Dave to make the introductions.**
/
/
Tag Team Match: Paul Jones’ Army (Hase & Hashimoto) def. Junk Yard Dog & Pez Whatley
/
/
**Paul Jones comes over to Lance with his men. **
PJ: Are you going to talk to me now? Are you going to give my men the time of day the way you give everyone else theirs?
LR: Paul, I am not going to argue with you. We had a match to get ready for.
PJ: Yes and what happened in that match?
LR: Your team won.
PJ: Yes, my army won. Now, I am telling you all this, you just saw what Hase & Hashimoto did to the Junk Yard Dog and Pez Whatley. You saw them taken apart piece by piece so consider this a warning to everyone in the back. Stay out of our way because we are coming for the tag team titles.
LR: There are you and a lot of other teams.
PJ: Teams like who? Who can beat these two? No teams. No teams can. That’s who.
LR: Yeah, we will see about that. Fans, we will be right back.
**Begin VTR of Lance with “Jumping” Joe Savoldi & Jerry Oske and junior heavyweight champion Jerry Lynn. **
LR: Joe & Jerry, welcome. Monday night you get a chance at the MCW tag team champions, The Rock N Roll RPM’s and their title belts.
JO: Well, you know Lance, we are always looking for our opportunity and this Monday night we have it.
LR: The RPM’s are a tough, tough team.
JS: We know and we are ready for that. Not many tag teams get their chances so quick on teaming but we are coming to the Mid-South Coliseum and will do our dead level best to beat them. Win or lose, our best is coming.
LR: Thanks guys. Now… Jerry Lynn, you have been a fighting champion for sure but this Monday night it is a non-title match against Al Snow.
JL: You know, Lance…I heard what Johnny V had to say about this match. What they fail to understand is that this is a non-title match not because I wanted it to be but because the championship committee chose it to be. I am not scared of you, Snow. I am not scared to put this title on the line at any time. On Monday when I kick your butt, we can see about that title shot.
LR: Thanks Jerry. Fans, we will be right back.
.
.
**COMMERCIAL BREAK (Local commercials with ads for house show events interspersed including how to get tickets and be involved in MCW shows & wrestling school.) **
.
.
LR: We are back and Monday is looking like it will be a huge show.
DB: Two title matches and man, they will be big.
LR: Speaking of title matches, welcome TV champion “Fabulous One” Steve Keirn. Steve, it is good to see you.
SK: Thanks Lance. Hi Dave. Listen, before I go to the ring and defend my TV title I have something to say. Last week when I was naming names and the Dirty White Boy came up, it wasn’t a bad thing, it wasn’t a knock on his ability as a wrestle. I was just naming some of the tough competition here in Memphis Championship Wrestling.
LR: I know you weren’t trashing anyone last week.
SK: I really wasn’t. But then, the Dirty White Boy had to come out here and threaten me. He had to come out here and run his mouth saying not to mention his name again. So, Dirty White Boy…this is for you. I am not only mentioning your name again, I am telling you to come down next week and show me how you are going to kick my brains in. Now, I am going to go to the ring to show that jacked up monkey in there what is it like to get his brains kicked in.
**He heads to the ring as Dave Brown does the introductions.**
/
/
Single Match (MCW Television Championship): “Fabulous One” Steve Keirn *champion* def. Dale Veasey
/
/
**The bell is barely rung to show the end of the match before the Dirty White Boy is in the ring and brawling with Keirn. They fight around the ring as well as throwing chairs and other things at each other. It takes the locker room to clear things up. As they are taken to the back, Eddie Marlin comes out.**
EM: Lance, I have something to say. It is clear those two want to fight so next week I am signing that match. They are going to fight it out next week for the television title. But I want them both to understand me on this…there won’t be any of these brawling outside the ring and around the studio. They -will- keep it in the ring.
LR: Huge news. Thank you Eddie. Fans, we will return in a moment.
**Begin VTR of Lance with “Superstar” Bill Dundee.**
LR: Another huge match for Monday will be the return of the Superstar. Bill, welcome back. Monday you have a match against Jimmy Backlund.
BD: You know Lancer…Jimmy Backlund is a good wrestler out of the Florida area. A solid guy but that don’t mean nothing. He is in the way of the “superstar” and that means he is going to have to go down for the count. Now I have something else to say. This is a message to you, Tim Flowers. You have the Southern heavyweight title and that is one I have had a long, long time, many, many times. You are doing ok with it. You are fighting some tough guys but you are not fighting one of the best to ever hold that title. Now…I know I need to go up that ladder and this week is the start of that. But rest assured as soon as Eddie Marlin says it is my time, Bucko…I am coming to take your title. Monday, Jimmy Backlund…you are just one of many to fall to the “Superstar” Bill Dundee.
.
.
**COMMERCIAL BREAK (Local commercials with ads for house show events interspersed including how to get tickets and be involved in MCW shows & wrestling school.) **
.
.
LR: We are back and it is time for the main event. It will be an expiration of time match between Scott Levy and “Superstar” Bill Dundee.
DB: This will be a great main event.
LR: if you want to do the introductions?
/
/
MAIN EVENT: “Superstar” Bill Dundee def. Scott Levy
/
/
LR: That was a win for Bill Dundee. What a great show this week.
DB: It really was. We saw Alex Porteau defeat Barry Horowitz, Paul Jones’ Army of Hase & Hashimoto defeat the Junk Yard Dog & “Pistol” Pez Whatley, the TV title was defended but turned in to a barn burner of a brawl and then the win from the Superstar himself.
LR: Next week will be even better. So for Dave Brown, this is Lance Russell saying bye bye for now.
