Bob: “Welcome back to Mid-South Wrestling fans, I’m Bob Caudle and it is my pleasure to once again be joined by the heart and soul of the Mid-South, Bill Watts!
Bill: “Thank you for that Bob, and in the next three weeks the UWF Championship committee will be paying CLOSE attention as they will be making their final decisions on the top 8 contenders for the UWF World Heavyweight Championship Tournament, as well as the Mid-South tag team champion contenders, and Bob we will announce venues for those tournaments right here this week on Mid-South TV.
Bob: “We will take a look at an exciting newcomer to Mid-South, BOOKER T, the first member of Tod Gordon’s Diamond Mine will wrestle, that would be The Barbarian. The in ring debut of Butch Reed and Gary Albright, we will find out who The Natural has signed to be Stan Hansen’s tag team partner, and we will take a look at another newcomer to the area, BIG YANKEE! All that and so much more, fans let’s go to the ring for our first match!

Bill: “It has come to my understanding that Dutch Mantell has exercised an option to wrestle elsewhere, but to your point, what a replacement, Billy Jack looks in great shape!
ZYBYSZKO + HAYNES def. Kanyon + Watts, and Caudle remarks that this tag team has just skyrocketed into the tag team title sweepstakes!

1. The bracket for 8-man UWF World Heavyweight Championship AND Mid-South Tag Team Championships will be announced RIGHT HERE ON MID-SOUTH WRESTLING, in THREE WEEKS ON MARCH 4
2. The semifinals for the tag team championships will be held on Mid-South Wrestling starting March 4th, with the finals and COMPLETE UWF tournament being held Sunday March 9, 1993 at:

Stan: “Well ah don’t see no need for that Chris Cruise because that man there has not only bought mah contract from a lucrative deal for me to here in Mid-South, not to win the UWF World Heavyweight Championship belt, but to join someone else and a guarantee to win the Mid-South Tag Team Championship. Here’s the thing, PRETTY, ah like to work ALONE. Ah don’t need a tag team partner. But last week you promised I’d be happy with mah new tag team partner. So go ahead, Mr. Smarty Pants, Mr. Big Brain, show me who this tag team partner is that will elevate Stan Hansen to such HIGH heights!

Bob: “Fans, lets go to this commentary by Bill Watts!
Jim, I want to spend this weeks editorial talking about a trend I have been reading about in the magazines, and watching on videotapes sent to me over the past year or so: this so-called ‘hard core’ wrestling.
“For instance, I read in Pro Wrestling Illustrated about this complete idiot, this nincompoop, Onita from Japan who takes on opponents in ‘Exploding Steel Cage’ matches. I also saw a video of the Sheik almost being burned to death in a match where these idiots lighted the ropes withn kerosene and the legendary wrestler almost was burned alive.
“Make no mistake, Mid-South Wrestling has been the home to some of the most violent matches in wrestling history: steel cage, barbed wire matches. Blood matches. So many more I can’t think of. But these weren’t stunts. There was no Onita clown saying, come and buy tickets and watch me blow up in the ring. That’s because when violent stipulation matches broke out in Mid-South, they were because tensions were so high between two competitors, it was determined this was the only way for them to get out their frustrations and move on: in a match beyond the confines of the normal rules of the wrestling ring, not because of some sick freak show.
“It is my hope that the great athletes you see in Mid-South resolve their differences in the ring, under Mid-South rules, and there is no need for these types of matches. But I’ve been around the sport for over 40 years my friends, and I know I can’t promise we won’t have these specialty types of matches because the stakes are so high in professional wrestling. And I certainly hope there will never, EVER be one of these insane ‘exploding steel cage’ matches here in Mid-South. Personally, I think just the steel cage or another time honored stipulation/special rules match should settle the issue.
"But if there is ever a reason to make the cage explode or to add bombs to it, it had better be for a damn good reason, and more likely than not fans, I won’t be part of it! And as for you fans that want to see this junk? I’ll be happy to give you the phone number of an airline that flies to Japan where you can witness it for yourself. Just do me one favor: make it a one way ticket!

Bob: “I guess I’m not going to commentate this match, Bill!
Bruno: “But take a look at Maniac, he gets few blows in, this is a tough opponent, the type of #1 opponent Big Yankee desires!
Bob: “Good grief, I give up, Bill!
Bill: “This Downtown Bruno has a big mouth that I can tell . . .
Bruno: “KAPOW! Big Yankee with a big clothesline! And now the GRAND BAMBINO! (Crucifix powerbomb)
Bob: “THAT WAS INCREDI . . . .
Bruno: “THAT WAS INCREDIBLE FANS, THE REF COUNTS THE SHOULDERS DOWN, 1-2-3!!!! And behold, rednecks, hillbillies, and hicks, YOUR NEW LEADER, AND NEXT UWF CHAMPION, BIG YANKEE!
Bruno throws down the mike to raise Yankee’s hand!
Bob: “WELL, I’m glad we can speak now Bill, in my years of broadcasting wrestling, I have never been cut off like that, but let’s get down to the bottom line: this Mighty Yankee just looks FANTASTIC in the ring, like him and Bruno or not, you cannot deny that fans!
Bill: “That is something I agree with Bob, but if I can find a way to cut off the microphone from that punk, Downtown Bruno, I will do it next time!
