Monsoon, “Welcome to ‘Monday Night Wrestling’! Jess, we have information concerning ‘Spring Stampede’, as it involves the Hulkster!.
Ventura, “Ha, he’s going to announce his retirement!”
Monsoon, “Highly unlikely! What we will see tonight is a Global Light Heavyweight Title match, the Champion, Eddie Gilbert, takes on Iceman King Parsons. Let’s go to Howard Finkel and get things started!”
Match #1
Jimmy Jack Funk vs. Cowboy Scott Casey
Two Texans go at it. Funk is on his own, and he might be even wilder. He goes right after Casey. Scott is very good, and he puts up a good fight. Eventually Funk is too much, and wins with a shoulder breaker.
Winner- Jimmy Jack Funk

Billy Jack Haynes vs. George South
The powerful man from Portland takes on the game veteran. The match begins, and South uses his skill to keep the match even. Haynes uses his strength to take over. He clamps on the full Nelson for the win.

“Mean” Gene Okerlund is standing in front of a “Spring Stampede” banner.”
Okerlund, “Fans, March 4 is the date, and Reunion Arena in Dallas, TX is the place. The GWA presents ‘Spring Stampede’. This show will feature a new concept, ‘The Texas Shootout’. Here is how this match works. Two men will start out in the ring. Every 90 seconds, another man will enter. There will be 30 total entrants. A man can be eliminated by being thrown over the top rope, pinfall, or submission. The possibilities are endless. The top stars of the GWA will be entered. We can announce tonight that Lex Luger, Wahoo McDaniel, and Billy Jack Haynes are entered. We can also make this announcement, we will be in the Southwest, and several top stars from south of the border will be in the event, Atlantis, El Satanico, Lizmark, Cien Caras, El Faraón, and Blue Panther.”
We see a video of wrestling action from Mexico. We go back to Okerlund.
Okerlund, “We will announce more entrants in the coming days. We can also make this huge announcement. On March 4, in Dallas, Hulk Hogan will defend the Global Heavyweight Championship against the man who nearly ended his career…Kamala! Stay tuned to GWA program for more information!”

Jerry “The King” Lawler (North American Champion) vs. “Outlaw” Joel Deaton
The North American Champion is in action against the rugged “Outlaw”. Lawler is locked in a struggle with Austin Idol, but he can’t overlook Deaton. The early moments go back and forth. Deaton holds his own, but Lawler’s skill takes over. He controls the action, and wins with a piledriver.
Winner- Jerry Lawler

Bam Bam Bigelow w/Bobby “The Brain” Heenan vs. Brian Adias
Heenan has a dangerous man here. Adias is skilled, but he has a big task ahead of him. Bigelow is very aggressive. He works over Adias. Heenan looks very pleased at ringside. Bam Bam hits the reverse piledriver for the win. Bigelow has to be a favorite in the “Texas Shootout”.
Winner- Bam Bam Bigelow
Mean Gene Okerlund is with Eric Embry.
Okerlund, “Fans, with me, is one of the best light heavyweights in the sport. Eric Embry, Eddie Gilbert has brought the Light Heavyweight Title to the GWA. We know he defeated you in a hard fought match in Portland, OR.”
Embry, “You mean ‘cheated’ me. Wrestling is a sport for men, so I’m not making excuses, but Gilbert breaks every rule in the book. Now I’m ready for it. Gilbert, when we get in the ring again, I’m taking that title, count on it!”
Okerlund, “Eric Embry is ready for Eddie Gilbert, and he will be in our next match.”

Eric Embry vs. Gary Royal
Embry is very popular with the fans. He says Eddie Gilbert gained a tainted win in Portland. He wants revenge. Royal is a wily veteran. Embry starts quickly, Royal is in trouble, and he goes to the illegal tactics. This works for a while, but Embry recovers and wins with the piledriver.
Winner- Eric Embry
Match #6
Demolition w/The Genius vs. The Simpson Brothers
Size vs. speed, experience vs. youth. Steve and Ax open the contest. Ax traps Simpson in the corner, and dishes out punishment. Steve fights his way out of the corner. His quickness takes over. Ax is frustrated, and tags in Smash. He is able to slow the pace, and now Simpson is in trouble. He tags in his younger brother, and Shaun gives it a go. He is game, but Smash is too much. He uses a power slam for the win. Demolition is rising to the top of the tag team scene.
Winners- Demolition
Mean Gene Okerlund is with Eddie Gilbert and Woman.
Okerlund, “With me are the Global Light Heavyweight Champion, Eddie Gilbert, and his manager Woman. Mr. Gilbert, we heard from Eric Embry. He thinks you cheated him, and he wants revenge.”
Gilbert, “Ha, cheated? That bum just couldn’t beat me. Now he wants another lesson, well I’m ready to teach him one.”
Okerlund, “You meet Iceman King Parsons tonight, he’s no pushover.”
Gilbert, “That clown? Look at his hair, who wants to look like that?”
Woman, “Gene, did I ever tell you how handsome I find bald men? Eddie is the best in the business, Embry and Parsons are no match for him.”
Okerlund, “Bald men, really, anyway our main event is next.”

Global Light Heavyweight Championship
“Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert w/Woman vs. Iceman King Parsons
This will be a good one. Gilbert and Woman put the badmouth on Parsons, and the man from St. Louis gives it right back. Referee Joey Marella calls for the bell and we are underway. Parsons starts fast. He goes right after the champion. Gilbert is stunned, and rolls out of the ring, and is comforted by Woman. Eddie returns and locks up. The action goes back and forth. Both men have their chances. Gilbert goes for a cover near the ropes. He uses them for leverage. Marella doesn’t see this and counts three. Iceman argues, but Marella will have none of it. Gilbert escapes with a tainted victory.
Winner- Eddie Gilbert

Monsoon, “Jess, that was a miscarriage of justice! Parsons was robbed!”
Ventura. “Gino Monsoon, this is wrestling! They don’t ask why, just did you win or not!”
Monsoon, “I thought you’d say that. Let’s talk about next week. We will talk more about ‘Spring Stampede’. We will announce more entrants in the ‘Texas Shootout’. We also have a great tag team main event. Skandor Akbar’s new team, the Commandos, will meet the Rougeau Brothers, don’t miss this one!.
