JR: Welcome everyone to Smoky Mountain Wrestling. I am Jim Ross and with me is Dave Brown and let me tell you this. We are half way through our first round of the SMW heavyweight title tournament. “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert & Brad Armstrong have made it. This week we are going to see “Primetime” Brian Lee taking on Brutus Beefcake and Memphis Mafia member “The Nature Boy” Buddy Landel will take on the “Wild Eyed Southern Boy” Tracy Smothers to decide who the other two competitors are. In the main event it will be tag team action when The Enforcers, Dick Slater & Greg Valentine take on Al Snow & Bob Holly. But what we need now is Dave, for you to pick a name out of the hat for Michael Hayes’ 4th Beat the Champ TV title match.
DB: Ok, Jim. The name is….Steve Armstrong. Steve Armstrong gets the title shot.
JR: Thanks Dave. Fans, lets get to the ring for the first match. “Primetime” Brian Lee takes on the veteran Brutus Beefcake.

**Beefcake follows Lee to the announce table**
Jim Ross: Ok, we don’t any trouble here.
BL: There won’t be any trouble. Beefcake, what do you want? You got beat fair.
BB: You got lucky. Tell you what… if you think you can do it again, let’s get in the ring again.
BL: I. Beat. You.
**Lee goes to walk away when Brutus grabs him. Lee spins around and drops Beefcake with a solid right.**
JR: Fans, we will be right back.
**We are taken to the interview area where Doug Furnas & Dan Kroffat, the Can-Am Express are.**
DF: We have a message for the Midnight Express or any tag team for that matter. What you see in front of you is the strongest man in wrestling in Doug Furnas. You see the most technically sound wrestler in the world with Dan Kroffat. You are running around with the “Express” in your names and you are frauds. So understand something, The Can-Am Express are coming to Smoky Mountain Wrestling and we are coming to eliminate you. Midnights, and then take the titles off of you.
DK: You guys are all fake. Your best years are ten years ago. Now, you are going to see the greatest tag team in the world today and you are going to see them kick your teeth in. Get ready because what happens to you won’t be your choice.

JR: We are back and I have to say that Brian Lee is still relatively new to this business and Beefcake will make him pay. With that, we have our fourth person in the SMW heavyweight title tournament. Coming up we have the final match and that will be Buddy Landel, the “Nature Boy” himself taking on Tracy Smothers. Let’s get to the ring for the action

BL: JR, do you know what it feels like to be me?
JR: No, thank God.
BL: Don’t be a smart mouth. Listen, you are looking at the next Smoky Mountain heavyweight champion. I am the man who will lead this company to it’s greatest heights.
JR: What about “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert?
BL: What? Who?
JR: Your Memphis Mafia partner, Eddie Gilbert.
BL: Oh, right, Eddie Gilbert. The greatest wrestling mind in the world today. Listen, Jim Ross, when it comes to that time, Eddie will do what is right because what is important is the Mafia takes over. It don’t matter who in the mafia does it. Just that the mafia does it. So next week it don’t matter if it is Brad Armstrong or Brian Lee. The Mafia will be the champ.
JR: What if you get drawn with Eddie Gilbert?
BL: Stop trying to cause trouble where there ain’t none. If it happens to be Mafia Vs Mafia, the Mafia still wins. Like I said, Eddie will do what is right for the Mafia. Now if you will excuse me, I have some things to do and ladies to date.
**He leaves as we get sent to the SMW bannered interview area**
**We see Scotty the Body with his American Males (Riggs & Bagwell) The males are flexing in the background while Scotty speaks**
STB: You see what is in front of you? 496lbs of solid sex appeal and wrestling talent. What you see is the pinnacle of manliness. Midnight Express, Southern Boys, Thrillseekers…why are you all running away? Why are you all hiding? Next week we are going to be here and we want a tag team in the ring for a match. We want someone to try to stop The American Males because you are going to learn it just won’t happen. Next week men, don’t bring your half bald, one toothed women to the matches if you want to keep them. The American Males are coming to Smoky Mountain.

JR: I am looking forward for the American Males to showup here if for no other reason than to watch Scotty the Body get a slap or two. Fans, it is time for the Beat the Champ TV title match. Michael Hayes is on his 4th match. If he wins, it is the $1,000 cheque and then next week if he wins, anther thousand & a $5,000 one for running the guantlet. Here comes his opponent, Steve Armstrong.. Steve, welcome.
**Armstrong doesn’t get a chance to say anything before he is attacked by Eddie & Doug Gilbert, as well as Brian Christopher & Tommy Rich, the Memphis Mafia. Theybeat him down and bloody him up before officials run them off**
JR: What the hell is going on here? Michael Hayes is out here now. Michael?
MH: Look, I don’t know what is happening here JR. I just know I am two weeks from a 5 grand bonus so I don’t care who it is. Get me someone to wrestle.
**He gets in the ring as Dr. Tom Prichard comes out. **
TP: Jim Ross..if Michael Hayes wants a match, I am ready for that match.
JR: He said he would take on anyone so I guess we have a match.

Beat the Champ Television Championship: “Dr.” Tom Prichard def. Michael Hayes *champion* after Tommy Rich comes back out and posts Hayes, busting him open, before throwing him back in. Official Jack Doan & Prichard were distracted by Doug Gilbert as this was happening.**

JR: Tom, Tom, come here for a second. Surely you can’t take the title on that type of win.
**Tom walks over**
TP: What “type of win”? I beat him in the centre of the ring.
JR: The Memphis Mafia attacked him at ringside.
TP: I didn’t see that happen.
**Commissioner Bob Armstrong comes out**
BA: Tom Prichard, what I saw here is not right. So let me say a few things. First off, Doug Gilbert. You got off lucky because you didn’t touch anyone. Tommy Rich, you got yourself fined $1000. Now, Tom Prichard….you are the champion. The official has the final say. But understand that I am sure Michael Hayes will not sit quietly by. Now, I have a few other things to say here. I am going to start with the US junior heavyweight champion Chris Candido. In two weeks you will be defending that title. Next week there will be a match to determine the number one contender so get ready. Second thing, this is for Jim Cornette. Mama’s boy…Your team hasn’t defended the belts. So tonight we are crowning the new number one contenders and you -will- be facing them next week. That is all for now but before I go I want to reiterate that none of this jumping in the ring during matches you are not involved in will happen under my watch. Memphis Mafia, you have an issue with what I am saying here, my office is never hard to find.

JR: Ok folks. It is main event time and it will be tag team action. The Enforcers, Dick Slater & Greg Valentine, will take on the tough, hard hitting team of Al Snow & Bob Holly.
DB: I have to say I wouldn’t want to be either team but most of all I would not want to be the Midnight Express next week. They are going to have to defend the belts against one of these teams.
JR: I agree. Fans, here are Dick & Greg.
DS: It is like this Jim Ross…for weeks we have been saying we are coming to get those tag team belts. For weeks we have been saying that the belts are going to be ours. There is no more decorated a team in the history of wrestling. You add every title I have held, 49 titles, 17 of those tag team titles. Greg here has held 28 belts with 13 of them being tag team titles. There ain’t no better. Al Snow, Bob Holly…we feel sorry for you boys because all our frustrations are about to be taken out on you.
**They head to the ring for the match**

**Slater & Valentine are in the ring when they are jumped by the Midnight Express led by Cornette. Snow & Holly join in making it a 4-2 battle. Cornette uses the racket to bloody up Slater before the Southern Boys come to even the odds. We fade out to Cornette taking his guys out and to the back. **
