AWA Championship Wrestling was taped January 13, 1993.
The third episode kicks off from The Showboat Sports Pavilion in Las Vegas, Nevada, with the AWA banner superimposed over a shot of the Showboat. We join announcers Nick Bockwinkel & Lee Marshall at the announcer's desk for anther exciting hour of AWA Championship Wrestling. interviewer 'Mean' Gene Okerlund who has returned. Promoter Greg Gagne, son of Verne Gagne, joins the announcers to remind the fans the first two AWA events will be held in Milwaukee, WI @ MECCA Arena Saturday, February 11 and in Green Bay, WI @ Resch Center Sunday, The Saturday show features the crowning the inaugural AWA World Tag Team Champion and AWA Women's World's Champion. February 12. The Sunday event features the crowing of the AWA World's Heavyweight and AWA World's Junior Heavyweight Champions.
Nick & Lee are joined by lovely manager Woman with her Diamond Inc. stable of Tully Blanchard. and the tag team of Ted Dibiase & Mike Rotunda. Woman says the AWA World's Heavyweight Belt and AWA World's Tag Team Belts will be the property of her Diamond Inc. after February 12th. Blanchard boasts Hogan, Martel, Vader, Piper, Orndorff or anybody else is not capable of beating him. A subdued Dibiase & Rotunda boast they are the best team in the wrestling world & winning those belts will prove it.
We go to Marshall who says featured in action today are the Vader with manager Harley Race, Dustin Rhodes, Magnificent Mimi, Tatsumi Fujinami & the Smokin Guns.
We go to the ring for the first match of today. All TV matches are 1-10 time limit. Ring announcer is Mike McGuirk.
1. One vs. Two Handicap Match. Vader w/mgr. Harley Race Race destroyed the Headbangers Mosh & Thrasher. (3:41). First Thrasher then Mosh with the Vader Bomb.
Okerlund interview with Mexico's Eddie Guerrero. Eddie is confident he can be the AWA World's Junior Heavyweight Champion. He is sending a message to his opponents that he is the best & will be the junior heavyweight champion.

2. SIngles Match. Dustin Rhodes pinned Louie Spicoli following a lariat. (8:01).
Okerlund interview with Vampiro who has proven popular with the ladies. Vampiro says what he does in the ring is what makes him the best. Guerrero, Fujinami & Malenko will find that out.
3. Ladies Single Match. Magnificent Mimi beat Heidi Lee Mogan with an inside cradle. (8:40).
Okerlund interview with Australian wrestler 'Superstar' Sue Sexton on the upcoming tourney for the AWA Women's World's Title. Sexton says the competition is tough but she knows she is the best & will be the champion.

4. Single Match. TatsumiFujinami submitted Tommy Rogers with the Dragon Backbreaker.. (6:53).
Okerlund interview with 'Mr. Wonderful' Paul Orndorff who reminds Okerlund that he has been a champion everywhere he has been. And the AWA is not going to be different.

5. Four Man Tag Team Match. Smoking Guns (Bart & Billy Gunn) defeated the Bruise Brothers (twins Ron & Don Harris) in a rough match for the popular Guns. (7:01). Bart with the pin on Don at the end.
Okerlund interview with 'Hulk Hogan who talks about the fans support & how he feeds off their energy when he is in the ring. Hogan says his destiny is to be the AWA World's Heavyweight Champion.
