AND HERE HE IS FANS, TERRY FUNK comes to the ringside areas, gladhanding all the fans!
Chris Cruise: “Terry Funk, what do you think of this reception you have received here on Mid-South?
Terry: “Let me tell ya somethin’ Chris Cruise, one of my biggest regrets of my career is that I can only count how many times I have wrestled here in Mid-South on two hands, but every time I remembered how enthusiastic these people are about good pro wrestling, I am committed to Mid-South for the FIRST TIME in my career for one reason and one reason only.
“You were kind enough to mention my NWA World title reign, and I have also held title belts in Texas, Florida, the Carolinas, Memphis, Japan hell all over the world.

Bob: “Fans, let’s go this editorial by Bill Watts!
Bill: “Thank you once again Bob Caudle. You know something there’s a disturbing trend I have noticed over the past 10 years or so and that is these so-called ‘wrestling schools'. I’ve seen countless ad after countless ad on TV and the wrestling magazines that for a $1000 dollars or more you can sign up and learn how to be a professional ‘rassler’.
“Well let me assure that fans watching this program Mid-South Wrestling doesn’t have ‘rasslin school’ graduates. I never signed up and paid someone to ‘teach’ me how to wrestle. See I played football for the Oklahoma Sooners then the Houston Oilers, and made friends with a man named Wahoo McDaniel of the New York Jets, someone many viewers might be familiar with.
“Wahoo introduced me to this great sport, but nothing was handed to me. I went not to a wrestling ‘school’ but to a wrestling camp, and let me tell you Jim Ross the training and the exertion I had to go through in this camp made football training camp seem like hanging out on the beach sipping on Pina Coladas in the Caribbean. Then after that, after learning to set up rings, after picking up and driving wrestlers from airports to the matches, after mopping up locker rooms, only then after all that and proving to Wahoo McDaniel and the promoter I could handle myself in the ring was I allowed to wrestle my first match.
“Fans, these are the type of younger wrestlers you will see on Mid-South Wrestling. We aren’t interested in the ‘wrestling school graduates'. Is there a chance that they can become worthy of wrestling Mid-South? Maybe. But they too must pay their dues, set up the rings, make the drives, clean up the locker rooms, carry in the stars gear, and learn how the sport works. Then, maybe, just maybe, they will earn a match on this television program, only to maybe survive after one match against the true stars that we have here that have been in professional wrestling rings for years and years.

Dutch: “Chris Cruise anyone that has a brain in their heads saw what me and The Living Legend here are capable of any day of the week here in Mid-South. I noticed this week a LOT of tag teams are lining up here, but the thing is if they want to get anywhere they have to go through US!
Larry: “That’s right Dutch, and as for you spud-heads out there, and that includes Horace Hogan and Metal Maniac who we will crush next week, anyone that gets in our way will PAY THE PRICE, as we will ruthlessly destroy anyone that gets in our way to the top!
Chris: “A VERY CONFIDENT Dutch Mantell and Larry Zybysko already making waves in Mid-South Wrestling, with TV time remaining, speaking of tag teams let’s go to our next match!
