DB: Thank you Jim. I am happy to be here.
JR: Happy to have you. Folks…this week we are going to have two of the four matches to determine the final four wrestlers who will compete for the SMW heavyweight title. You are going to see Brad Armstrong taking on Doug Gilbert and “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert take on Al Snow. The winners will join the winners from next week in order to decide who is the first SMW champion. We are also going to see Michael Hayes defend the Beat the Champ TV title for his third defense and another $1000. Finally in the main event, The Dirty White Boy will be in action against Doug Basham. Dave, if you can pick the name of the challenger for Michael Hayes please…
DB: Sure. **he reaches in to the black Stetson of JR** “Dr.” Tom Prichard. “Dr.” Tom Prichard is going to take on Michael Hayes.
JR: That will be a great match. Folks, it is time for the first of two Smoky Mountain heavyweight title tournament match. Let’s get to the ring for the action.

SMW Heavyweight Championship Tournament: Brad Armstrong def. Doug Gilbert

**Armstrong joins JR at the announce table**
JR: Great match Brad.
BA: Thanks, JR. Doug Gilbert is a tough wrestler. And two weeks from now, I may have his brother Eddie.
JR: “Hot Stuff” is a hard wrestler to beat.
BA: Yeah he is. But you know, us Armstrongs have gone back and forth with the Gilberts for decades, right down to our fathers. With that, I can’t think about the future other than me getting the Smoky Mountain heavyweight belt.
JR: Good luck, Brad.
**Brad leaves as “Wildfire” Tommy Rich comes out**
TR: Jim Ross, I have something to say.
JR: Make it quick.
TR: You watch your mouth, Jim Ross. I have something to say and you are gonna listen. I want to know why me, “Wildfire” Tommy Rich, former world heavyweight champion is not in the Smoky Mountain heavyweight title tournament. I want to know why the Memphis Mafia are being held back.
JR: You are not being held back. Doug Gilbert, Eddie Gilbert, and Buddy Landel are all in the tournament.
TR: Where am I? Where is Brian Christopher? Where is Jerry Jarrett?
**Jarrett comes out to his name being said.**
JJ: Don’t you use my name. Don’t say my name out of your mouth, Tommy Rich. I am not one of you scumbags just because we all come from Tennessee.
TR: Now hold on a second, Jeff. I don’t mean to hurt your feelings. I understand you are ok not being in the tournament because you are not good enough. But that doesn’t stop the rest of us.
JJ: Not good enough? I bet I can beat you, Tommy Rich.
TR: Now son, don’t run before you can walk.
JJ: Let’s see if I am walking or running.
**He slaps Rich and heads to the ring. Rich takes his jacket off and rushes to the ring just to stop before getting in. He smiles and heads back to JR**
TR: We are going to do this on my time, Jarrett. My time.
**He leaves as we head to commercial. **

JR: We are back and Jeff Jarrett may have more guts than brains. Tommy Rich won’t take this lying down and man, he is sneaky.
DB: I have known Tommy Rich for a lot of years. Same with Jeff and let me say, this will be a great bout.
JR: That it will. Speaking of great matches, we are about to see one and it happens to be the second match in the SMW heavyweight title tournament. It will be Al Snow, a great up and comer, taking on “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert. Let’s get to the ring for the action.

**Gilbert comes to the announce table with his brother Doug**
EG: Jim Ross…there is an issue.
JR: What is that?
EG: It seems that Tommy Rich was correct. First you leave him out of this tournament. Then it just so happens, the commissioner’s son cheated to beat my brother in the title tournament. But we got have wrecked your plans, Jim Ross.
JR: My plans?
DG: Don’t play dumb Jim Ross.
EG: What my brother is trying to say, Jim Ross, is the plan to hold down the Memphis Mafia has been thwarted. It has been seen through and beaten. The Memphis Mafia is in the tournament and next week, the real “Nature Boy” himself, Buddy Landel, will be in the tournament. One of the Memphis Mafia will be the champion. Now…let’s talk about Jeff Jarrett…it is bad enough his old man owns this place. But when Jeff uses that excuse to pick fights he can’t win against Tommy Rich…Jeff, take my advice. I have fought with and against Tommy Rich. That won’t be a war you will win alone. Let me tell you this. Join the Mafia if you know what is good for you.
**He leaves with his brother as JR sends us to commercial break.**

JR: We are back and I don’t know what to say here. Eddie Gilbert is Eddie Gilbert and will always do what Eddie Gilbert does. Folks, we have the Beat the Champ TV title coming up right now. Michael Hayes has won two thousand dollars so far and is looking for his 3rd cheques and third win. Today he has “Dr.” Tom Prichard who is a very skilled grappler.
DB: Prichard is another I have known a long time. He can beat Hayes if Hayes isn’t paying attention.
JR: Let’s get to the ring for the action.

Beat The Champ Television Championship: Michael Hayes *champion* def. Tom Prichard for the 3rd win

**Hayes comes out to the announce table**
JR: Michael Hayes, you are another thousand dollars richer.
MH: That I am Jimbo. That I am.
JR: Two more weeks and you will be not only the first Beat the Champ television champion, but the first one to run the gambit. Now, “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert has vowed to make sure you don’t do that though.
MH: Listen, Jimmy…before there was a Memphis Mafia, there was Freebird Fantasia. There ain’t no tricks he can try that the Freebirds didn’t invent. He can bring on all he wants to bring on. What he will find out is as easy as it is to jump on Michael Hayes…it is just as hard to jump off. Now, I want to say something to who ever wins this SMW heavyweight title tournament. Two weeks and I am free to come get that title belt. I will be coming for it. This is a promise from me to you.
JR: Thanks Michael. Fans, let’s go to a video tape sent in by the US junior champion, “The Suicide Blonde” Chris Candido.
**Begin Video**
CC: Last week I showed the entire wrestling world…no, the entire planet what a great wrestler from New Jersey I am. I took on the very best and became the US junior heavyweight champion. That makes me the top in the sport today. I was riding high. I was on top of the world and what happened? A failed football player who spends his time **shudders** in Canada, comes out to ruin my celebration. Brian Pillman…you showed up to show me up and pally..that isn’t going to fly. If you want to come down and challenge me for -my- Smoky Mountain Wrestling United States Junior championship, that is ok. That is fine. I can beat you. I can beat anyone. So next time you want to try to take my thunder, do it to my face. Yeah…do it to my face and see what happens.
**End VTR**
JR: Well.. that is the US junior champion. It will be interesting to see what Brian Pillman says and does. Fans, we will be right back for our main event,

JR: We are back and it is main event time. “Dirty White Boy” Tony Anthony will be taking on Doug Basham
DB: I know Dirty White Boy and let me tell you, I would not want to be Doug Basham.
JR: Me neither. Dirty White Boy is a mean, mean son of a gun. Fans. Let’s get to the ring.

MAIN EVENT: “Dirty White Boy” Tony Anthony def. Doug Basham

**DWB walks over to JR and Dave**
DWB: Know what Jim Ross?
JR: What’s that?
DWB: It seems as though we have a problem here. We have “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert out here running his mouth about the Memphis Mafia but let me say something. Can I say something?
JR: Go ahead.
DWB: Thank you, Jim Ross. What I want to say is I know Eddie & Doug Gilbert. I know, Brian Christopher. I know, Buddy Landell. I know Tommy Rich. I know their wives. I know their daddies and I know their mommies. Same with Jeff Jarrett. I guess what I have is a question. With Eddie Gilbert out here running his mouth about this Memphis Mafia…can I ask you something JR?
JR: Sure.
DWB: What state is Memphis in?
JR: Tennessee.
DWB: Right you are Jim Ross. Tennessee. So when Eddie Gilbert talks about this elite group of wrestlers who call Tennessee home, why is the Dirty White Boy not mentioned? I can tell you right now there ain’t no wrestler better than the Dirty White Boy coming out of Tennessee. So this is what I am going to do. Jeff Jarrett…you need someone to watch your back, you got it. Eddie Gilbert…you bit off more than you can chew. The last thing you wanted is the Dirty White Boy to put you on his radar but you failed at that. So Memphis Mafia…you are going to learn why I am called “The Dirty White Boy”.
**He leaves as JR tells the fans to stay tuned next week for more Smoky Mountain Wrestling.**
