4. JIM CORNETTE IS HANDCUFFED TO AWF PRESIDENT BARON VON RASCHKE
MIDNITE EXPRESS V MIDNIGHT ROCKERS
There is a kafuffle as JIM CORNETTE had second thoughts, and refuses to be handcuffed, and runs away from Baron but the Midnight Rockers catch him and in the scrum, BARON HANDCUFFS JIM CORNETTE’S ARM TO HIS, AND JIM CORNETTE IS INCANDESCENT WITH RAGE, but finally Baron SITS him down in a chair next to him and the bell rings and here we go, its even steven, no shenanigans THE BATTLE OF THE MIDNIGHTS HERE AT BIG TICKET!
It’s a classic back and forth high flying, hard hitting match anyone would expect, and every time it seems things are going the Midnight Rockers way, Jim Cornette jumps up, but Baron grabs his jacket and pulls him down to his seat!
The match goes for a half hour with great action, and while the Express use every dirty low down tactic you can think of, without Jim Cornette’s interference, Stan Lane lands a superkick on Marry Jannetty, tags to Bobby Eaton who lands an Alabama Jam and covers him as Michaels tries to make the save but is stopped by Lane:

FANS THE MIDNITE EXPRESS, like them or not, have defeated the Midnight Rockers WITHOUT the help of Jim Cornette, who demands Baron unlock his cuffs, which Raschke does, and Cornette celebrates with his tag team as the Rockers powder, with Shawn helping Marty to the back. The Midnight Rockers are a very young tag team and will live on to fight another day, but Jim Cornette’s Midnite Express have made a MAJOR case to be moved up the tag team ratings tonight at BIG TICKET!

Announcements are made and the bell rings and as Andre holds on to the ropes Nikita goes right on the attack with punches and kicks! Fans, perhaps this was bad idea and Nikita lunges at Andre again . . .

Andre slowly gets up, pulls himself up the ropes and after more stomps goes for a flop on Nikita, but Nikita rolls out, recovers, bounces off the ropes and flops on the Giant, who is still stomach prone in the ring. Nikita responds with several stomps and legdrop, then Nikita slowly pushes Andre over to his back, and covers:

Nikita cannot believe he cannot put the big Giant away, stomps on him several more times, and grabs his hair, and Andre slowly stands up, as Andre staggers, Nikita off the ropes WITH THE RUSSIAN SICKLE . . . ANDRE STEPS ASIDE, AND NIKITA FLAILS WILDLY AND HE FALLS THROUGH THE ROPES ONTO THE FLOOR OF THE MARKET PLACE ARENA! WHAT DRAMA AT BIG TICKET, FANS!
The Giant recovers and finally falls to the mat, rolls out to break the count, and leans on the apron but still looms over Nikita, and LOOK AT THIS:
As Nikita staggers up, Andre is behind him with several axehandles and then THROWS HIM INTO THE POST, NIKITA FLIES BACKWARDS!
NIKITA KOLOFF IS BUSTED WIDE OPEN!!!

THE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION IS IN BIG TROUBLE, AND FANS, THE WRESTLING WORLD MIGHT BE ON THE VERGE OF HISTORY COULD ANDRE THE GIANT WIN THE WORLD TITLE IN HIS FINAL MATCH, RIGHT HERE AT BIG TICKET?
Andre picks up a bloodied Nikita, axehandles him and shoves him down on the mat, stomps on him and throws him in the ring, and rolls in, and while Nikita is on his hands and knees, ANDRE STEPS THROUGH THE ROPES, AND while holding the ropes, is right behind him and the fans go nuts!

WINNER IS THE FIRST TO THROW OPPONENT INTO A VIVARIUM FULL OF SNAKES AT RINGSIDE
JAKE “THE SNAKE” ROBERTS V RAVISHING RICK RUDE w/Paul E. Dangerously
The large plexiglass vivarium is rolled to ringside under a cover, followed by snake trainers holding hooks, the cover is unveiled!
Eric: “YIKES! Look at all those snakes, Tony!
Tony: “The last place I want to be is ANYWHERE near ringside!
RICK RUDE comes to the ring to his music with Paul E, Dangerously, but stops halfway down the aisle when he sees the snakes! Paul tries to cajole him, but instead Rude hops the rail, walks through the seats, and enters ringside halfway across from the vivarium, then jumps into the ring!
Tony: “Take a look at Rick Rude’s kisser as he just takes his robe off!
Eric: “No insults, no stripper dances, I think Rude wants to win that TV title and get out of here as soon as possible!
plays and LISTEN TO THE MARKET SQUARE ARENA EXPLODE AS IT’S THE TV CHAMPION JAKE ROBERTS! He snickers on his way down the aisle, and when he sees the snake pit, he taps on it, pets one of the snakes, and slides into the ring!
The bell rings and WAIT! RICK RUDE IS TAKING NO CHANCES AND BEATS AND KICKS THE CHAMPION FROM BEHIND, AND TAKES THE EARLY ADVANTAGE! Rude throws Roberts out of the ring, and follows and tries to whip Roberts into the snake pit, but ROBERTS HOLDS ONTO THE RING POST, and is able to stop Rude, so, Rude CLOTHESLINES THEN SLAMS HIS HEAD ON THE GUARDRAIL, ROBERTS goes down, but then the camera shows his head, and we have blood!
Eric: “The champ in BIG TROUBLE AT BIG TICKET EARLY IN THIS MATCH!
Rude goes to slam Roberts bloodied face on the apron, but Roberts stops him, and slams Rude’s face instead, and Rude is down, Roberts picks him up with his patented clothesline, then POINTS TO THE SNAKE PIT AND ASKS THE CROWD! YES! YES! The Indianapolis crowd wants to see Rude take a snake-bath, and Roberts picks up Rude by the hair and takes him towards the pit, but Rude grabs a guardrail, and slams Roberts into it again, more blood! Rude then flees to the safety of the ring.
Roberts enters the ring, and Rude is there with kicks and punches, and puts him in a headlock in the ring.

Eric: “I’m not a reptile expert Tony, but I did some research before this match, I suspect there might be some poisonous rattlesnakes and the deadly coral snake in that enclosure! And one of the snakes looks like a boa constrictor, capable of strangling a grown man!
Tony: “You never know with the Devious Jake Roberts, Eric! That’s why this match is so dangerous!
Eric: “This match could actually backfire on Jake Roberts if he is not careful!
In the ring, Rude body slams, and suplexes Jake, punches at his cut, and then THROWS HIM THROUGH THE ROPES TOWARDS THE SNAKE PIT, BUT NO! Jake manages to grab the ropes, just feet above the vivarium, his title on the line, as Rude kicks and punches at him in a bid to make the champion fall into the snake pit and lose the title! Jake manages to hang on and pulls himself to a corner using the ropes, but still on the apron, and Rude kicks at him, but Jakes grabs one of Rudes boots, and drops back and NUTS HIM ON THE RING POST! WHAT A MOVE BY THE SNAKE, AND RUDE STAGGERS UP, doing his classic sell he uses for the atomic drop, and fans the momentum of this match might be in the balance!
Jake slithers into the ring, and grabs Rude and whips him into the ropes, and backdrops him. Then a whip into a turnbuckle, a follow-up elbow! Jake then pulls Rude to the ropes opposite the snake pit, and is about to whip him through the ropes into it, when:
PAUL E. DANGEROUSLY! PAUL IS ON THE RING APRON BETWEEN THE ROPES AND THE SNAKES! Jake let’s go of Rude, and goes to Paul and GRABS HIM BY HIS SHIRT! The distraction is enough to allow Rude to knee him in the back, and roll up Jake, and Rude waits for the ref then counts 1-2-3 as Paul E. does a pratfall but manages to not fly into the snake pit himself!
BUT FANS, PINFALLS DO NOT COUNT! The only way to win is to throw your opponent in the snake pit, but Rude argues his point anyway, OK Rick we get it you COULD have won with a three count, with the help of your manager, but that’s not the rules! Meanwhile, Jake crawls across the ring to get away, his face a crimson mask, Rude gets behind him, and picks him up and NAILS THE SNAKE WITH THE RUDE AWAKENING!
Roberts is out, he is done, and Rude rolls the champ out of the ring, and drags his limp body towards the snake pit for what seems to take FOREEEEEVVVER, and finally, positions Jake who has his hands on the top of the glass enclosure, and Rude gets behind Jake to pick him up and dump him in, BUT JAKE WITH AN ELBOW TO RUDE’S RIBS, RUDE BACKS OFF! Rude recovers and tries again, and ANOTHER ELBOW, Rude flies back! Rude tries one more time, but before he can get to Snake, Jake REACHES INTO THE VIVARIUM, GRABS A SNAKE AND HOLDS IT ON FRONT OF RUDE, AND RUDE FLIES BACKWARDS, AND FLEES TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE RING, Jake puts the snake back into the enclosure, and enters the ring, and challenges Rude to come at him!
Tony: “JAKE ROBERTS, BATTERED AND BLOODIED, WANTS TO SETTLE THIS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RING FANS!
Eric: “Look at these great Indianapolis fans, what a BIG TICKET this has been!
Rude is red-assed and throws a chair on the floor as Paul tries to calm his man down, and finally Rude enters the ring, and the men fight! Boom, boom, boom, lots of back and forth, until JAKE CATCHES RUDE IN THE DDT! THE FANS GO NUTS AND BAM! FACE FIRST RUDE GOES TO THE MAT! Jake gets up and points to the snake pit! The fans respond, and Jake rolls Rude’s prone body over rolls over rolls over . . . under the ropes on top of the snake pit . . . RUDE REALIZES HIS PREDICAMENT, AND GRABS THE ROPE:
Jake gets up, bounces off the opposite rope and kicks Rude:
RUDE FLIES INTO THE ENCLOSURE AND THE BELL RINGS!! THE REF HANDS JAKE THE BELT AS HE CELEBRATES IN THE RING, the next camera shot LOOK AT THIS! AN UNCONSCIOUS RUDE:

COVERED WITH SLITHERING SNAKES! PAUL IS LOSING HIS MIND OUTSIDE THE ENCLOSURE AS HIS MAN IS IN A PERILOUS PREDICAMENT!
Jake leaves with the title glad-handing the fans, meanwhile at ringside . . . Rude slowly wakes up . . .

. . .HE REALIZES HE IS COVERED IN SNAKES AND FREAKS OUT, LEAPS UP AND JUMPS OUT OF THE ENCLOSURE, AND LOOK AT RUDE, HE FLIES INTO THE RING, OUT OF THE RING AT THE OPPOSITE RINGSIDE, HOPS THE RAIL AND FLEES THROUGH THE CROWD TRYING TO WIPE HIMSELF OFF WITH HIS HANDS!
Tony: “FANS WHAT A WAY TO END BIG TICKET FROM INDIANAPOLIS! SEE YOU TOMORROW NIGHT ON ESPN FOR MONDAY NIGHT AT THE MATCHES!

Promoters insider note: None of the snakes were poisonous. The glass enclosure was 8x8, and there were snake trainers with hooks who were cued to move the snakes away from the half of the “pit” where a wrestler might get dumped so no animals were injured. After Rude was dumped in, the camera panned on Jake with the belt as the trainers hooked several snakes and placed them on top of an “unconscious” Rude off camera. No reptiles were harmed during this match.

8. SNAKE PIT MATCH
AWF WORLD TV CHAMPIONSHIP
WINNER IS THE FIRST TO THROW OPPONENT INTO A VIVARIUM FULL OF SNAKES AT RINGSIDE
JAKE “THE SNAKE” ROBERTS V RAVISHING RICK RUDE w/Paul E. Dangerously
The large plexiglass vivarium is rolled to ringside under a cover, followed by snake trainers holding hooks, the cover is unveiled!
Eric: “YIKES! Look at all those snakes, Tony!
Tony: “The last place I want to be is ANYWHERE near ringside!
RICK RUDE comes to the ring to his music with Paul E, Dangerously, but stops halfway down the aisle when he sees the snakes! Paul tries to cajole him, but instead Rude hops the rail, walks through the seats, and enters ringside halfway across from the vivarium, then jumps into the ring!
Tony: “Take a look at Rick Rude’s kisser as he just takes his robe off!
Eric: “No insults, no stripper dances, I think Rude wants to win that TV title and get out of here as soon as possible!
plays and LISTEN TO THE MARKET SQUARE ARENA EXPLODE AS IT’S THE TV CHAMPION JAKE ROBERTS! He snickers on his way down the aisle, and when he sees the snake pit, he taps on it, pets one of the snakes, and slides into the ring!
The bell rings and WAIT! RICK RUDE IS TAKING NO CHANCES AND BEATS AND KICKS THE CHAMPION FROM BEHIND, AND TAKES THE EARLY ADVANTAGE! Rude throws Roberts out of the ring, and follows and tries to whip Roberts into the snake pit, but ROBERTS HOLDS ONTO THE RING POST, and is able to stop Rude, so, Rude CLOTHESLINES THEN SLAMS HIS HEAD ON THE GUARDRAIL, ROBERTS goes down, but then the camera shows his head, and we have blood!
Eric: “The champ in BIG TROUBLE AT BIG TICKET EARLY IN THIS MATCH!
Rude goes to slam Roberts bloodied face on the apron, but Roberts stops him, and slams Rude’s face instead, and Rude is down, Roberts picks him up with his patented clothesline, then POINTS TO THE SNAKE PIT AND ASKS THE CROWD! YES! YES! The Indianapolis crowd wants to see Rude take a snake-bath, and Roberts picks up Rude by the hair and takes him towards the pit, but Rude grabs a guardrail, and slams Roberts into it again, more blood! Rude then flees to the safety of the ring.
Roberts enters the ring, and Rude is there with kicks and punches, and puts him in a headlock in the ring.

Eric: “I’m not a reptile expert Tony, but I did some research before this match, I suspect there might be some poisonous rattlesnakes and the deadly coral snake in that enclosure! And one of the snakes looks like a boa constrictor, capable of strangling a grown man!
Tony: “You never know with the Devious Jake Roberts, Eric! That’s why this match is so dangerous!
Eric: “This match could actually backfire on Jake Roberts if he is not careful!
In the ring, Rude body slams, and suplexes Jake, punches at his cut, and then THROWS HIM THROUGH THE ROPES TOWARDS THE SNAKE PIT, BUT NO! Jake manages to grab the ropes, just feet above the vivarium, his title on the line, as Rude kicks and punches at him in a bid to make the champion fall into the snake pit and lose the title! Jake manages to hang on and pulls himself to a corner using the ropes, but still on the apron, and Rude kicks at him, but Jakes grabs one of Rudes boots, and drops back and NUTS HIM ON THE RING POST! WHAT A MOVE BY THE SNAKE, AND RUDE STAGGERS UP, doing his classic sell he uses for the atomic drop, and fans the momentum of this match might be in the balance!
Jake slithers into the ring, and grabs Rude and whips him into the ropes, and backdrops him. Then a whip into a turnbuckle, a follow-up elbow! Jake then pulls Rude to the ropes opposite the snake pit, and is about to whip him through the ropes into it, when:
PAUL E. DANGEROUSLY! PAUL IS ON THE RING APRON BETWEEN THE ROPES AND THE SNAKES! Jake let’s go of Rude, and goes to Paul and GRABS HIM BY HIS SHIRT! The distraction is enough to allow Rude to knee him in the back, and roll up Jake, and Rude waits for the ref then counts 1-2-3 as Paul E. does a pratfall but manages to not fly into the snake pit himself!
BUT FANS, PINFALLS DO NOT COUNT! The only way to win is to throw your opponent in the snake pit, but Rude argues his point anyway, OK Rick we get it you COULD have won with a three count, with the help of your manager, but that’s not the rules! Meanwhile, Jake crawls across the ring to get away, his face a crimson mask, Rude gets behind him, and picks him up and NAILS THE SNAKE WITH THE RUDE AWAKENING!
Roberts is out, he is done, and Rude rolls the champ out of the ring, and drags his limp body towards the snake pit for what seems to take FOREEEEEVVVER, and finally, positions Jake who has his hands on the top of the glass enclosure, and Rude gets behind Jake to pick him up and dump him in, BUT JAKE WITH AN ELBOW TO RUDE’S RIBS, RUDE BACKS OFF! Rude recovers and tries again, and ANOTHER ELBOW, Rude flies back! Rude tries one more time, but before he can get to Snake, Jake REACHES INTO THE VIVARIUM, GRABS A SNAKE AND HOLDS IT ON FRONT OF RUDE, AND RUDE FLIES BACKWARDS, AND FLEES TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE RING, Jake puts the snake back into the enclosure, and enters the ring, and challenges Rude to come at him!
Tony: “JAKE ROBERTS, BATTERED AND BLOODIED, WANTS TO SETTLE THIS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RING FANS!
Eric: “Look at these great Indianapolis fans, what a BIG TICKET this has been!
Rude is red-assed and throws a chair on the floor as Paul tries to calm his man down, and finally Rude enters the ring, and the men fight! Boom, boom, boom, lots of back and forth, until JAKE CATCHES RUDE IN THE DDT! THE FANS GO NUTS AND BAM! FACE FIRST RUDE GOES TO THE MAT! Jake gets up and points to the snake pit! The fans respond, and Jake rolls Rude’s prone body over rolls over rolls over . . . under the ropes on top of the snake pit . . . RUDE REALIZES HIS PREDICAMENT, AND GRABS THE ROPE:
Jake gets up, bounces off the opposite rope and kicks Rude:
RUDE FLIES INTO THE ENCLOSURE AND THE BELL RINGS!! THE REF HANDS JAKE THE BELT AS HE CELEBRATES IN THE RING, the next camera shot LOOK AT THIS! AN UNCONSCIOUS RUDE:

COVERED WITH SLITHERING SNAKES! PAUL IS LOSING HIS MIND OUTSIDE THE ENCLOSURE AS HIS MAN IS IN A PERILOUS PREDICAMENT!
Jake leaves with the title glad-handing the fans, meanwhile at ringside . . . Rude slowly wakes up . . .
. . he feels his arms and chest . . .

. . .HE REALIZES HE IS COVERED IN SNAKES AND FREAKS OUT, LEAPS UP AND JUMPS OUT OF THE ENCLOSURE, AND LOOK AT RUDE, HE FLIES INTO THE RING, OUT OF THE RING AT THE OPPOSITE RINGSIDE, HOPS THE RAIL AND FLEES THROUGH THE CROWD TRYING TO WIPE HIMSELF OFF WITH HIS HANDS!
Tony: “FANS WHAT A WAY TO END BIG TICKET FROM INDIANAPOLIS! SEE YOU TOMORROW NIGHT ON ESPN FOR MONDAY NIGHT AT THE MATCHES!

Promoters insider note: None of the snakes were poisonous. The glass enclosure was 8x8, and there were snake trainers with hooks who were cued to move the snakes away from the half of the “pit” where a wrestler might get dumped so no animals were injured. After Rude was dumped in, the camera panned on Jake with the belt as the trainers hooked several snakes and placed them on top of an “unconscious” Rude off camera. No reptiles were harmed during this match.
