Bill Watts: “Thank you Bob Caudle, and thank you fans for tuning in. So much has changed since the last time Mid-South Wrestling was on the air, why I feel like I have woken up after traveling in a time warp! It seems to me professional wrestling has been divided into two camps: the newer camp seems to be that of what has been called the ‘sports entertainment’ variety. You can identify it immediately: clowns, ghouls, obvious play acting, 60 minutes of television in which the promotion has decided to turn our fine sport into a circus, a joke.
“Here at Mid-South Wrestling, we have chosen to stick with the older camp. Yes, professional wrestling has always attracted bigger-than-life personalities and characters, because in many ways, just to be involved in this violent sport often requires a shall we say unusual mindset. But here in Mid-South, there will be no clown show, no circus. Just hard hitting, hard fighting professional wrestlers, yes, maybe some with those unusual mindsets and outsized personalities, battling tooth and nail on the mat night after night, weeks after week, for three things: to win championships, to make money, and for pride.
