LR: Good morning everyone and welcome to the MCW Championship Wrestling. I am Lance Russell for those who don’t know and with me is Dave Brown & Les Thatcher. and man, do we have some action tonight. Now before we go in to what is happening…for those who are looking for the PWA, promoter Jerry Jarrett has purchased PWA from Eddie Sharkey and well… we are here. You get the same great action and same great wrestling. Now, today we are going to see the battle when Nick Kiniski takes on “Jumping” Jim Brunzell. The Television heavyweight champion Mark Fleming will defend against Jimmy Backlund. Steve “Do it to it” Cox will take on Doby Gillis and in the main event, Jerry Stubbs will take on Jerry O but Dave…this isn’t even the most exciting news. Monday night right here at the Mid-South Coliseum, there will be a new MCW Southern heavyweight champion crowned when 4 men will vie for the title.
DB: Those four men are Olympic strongman Ken Patera, “Diamond” Tim Flowers, “Lethal” Larry Cameron and “Wildcat” Wendell Cooley. They are all worthy and any of them could be the champion after Monday.
LR: We are going to hear from each of them tonight but right now let’s get to the ring for the action.

KP: Listen here, you know who I am. You know what I do, and you know how good I do it. Monday night I have the chance to become the first ever MCW Southern heavyweight champion and I am going to do that. Now don’t get me wrong. There are some tough dudes in this tournament. Tim Flowers has done it all and been there. But he can be beat. Wendell Cooley, I respect you man. You are a good dude. But if you are the one who gets in my way of getting the title, then you will go down to the full nelson. Now, we are at the one man I have been hoping we get in the ring. Larry Cameron…you are a big, big dude. You are a tough guy. But here is the thing, you are for sure bad, but you can be had. Monday night is the night that you will all see the return of Ken Patera.

LR: It looks like Patera is ready for action Monday night.
DB: You are right and at 267lbs, he is big enough to do it too.
LR: He will have some tough people to beat to get it done though. Speaking of tough people, it is time for the television heavyweight champion Mark Fleming to defend the title.
DB: Listen, I don’t like that man. He is a disgrace for professional wrestling and I don’t think he is a good representative of this company. When David Samartino gets his title shot, you are going to see some serious wrestling, doggone it.
LR: It will be a match for the ages for sure. Fans, let’s get in the ring for the action.

**Fleming stops on his way past the announce table to talk trash about David Sammartino while Lance tries to ignore it. Official Marty Miller tells Fleming to go to the back or else he will face fines. Fleming does it while challenging anyone to take a poke at him. We head out to Kerry Brown & Tim Flowers in front of the MCW banner**
KB: You know…myself and my uncle “Bulldog” Bob have run the gambit of professional wrestling. We have been there, done it all. Now, when I came here, I found the same type of partner in “Diamond” Tim Flowers. HE has been there and done it all. But Monday night it isn’t about teams. It isn’t about what we can do as a tandem. It is about “Diamond” Tim taking the MCW Southern heavyweight title. It don’t matter if it is that has been Patera. It don’t matter if it is Wendell Cooley or Larry Cameron. Yeah, they are all big, talented guys. Yeah, they all got some experience but none have the pedigree that belongs to Tim Flowers. Monday is when he will do what ever is needed to be done and in that, take his place as the MCW Southern heavyweight champion.
TF: The prestigious Kerry Brown is correct. Who was the one who destroyed his enemies by the piledriver? Tim Flowers. Who is the one who took over the Central States area, the LA area, the Pacific Northwest area and then all of Canada? Tim Flowers. What makes the Mid-South any different? Nothing. Monday night I will take each and every person in my way and take them not only out of the tournament but out of professional wrestling.

LR: Now we have heard from “Diamond” Tim Flowers and -he- is ready for Monday night too.
DB: Tim Flowers is a tough, tough guy. He is smart and he was right about the pedigree he has. With Kerry Brown with him, he will be very tough to beat.
LR: now it is time for a great match. Steve Cox, a youngster who is ready to get to that next level will take on a member of the Rock N Roll Rebel Express in “Kid Dynamite” himself, Doby Gillis. Let’s get to the ring for that action.

** “Wildcat” Wendell Cooley is in front of the MCW banner**
WC: You know, I am here to do what is right. I am here to represent the great fans all around the professional wrestling world. I am honored to be in the MCW Southern title tournament and I will do my darnest to be the champ. Now, I ain’t going to pretend that there are not some big, scary guys in this tournament but I am going to be ready. But I got a big heart, a tough fist, strong right hand, and I am ready to fight. I don’t want to hurt nobody but if you come to take me on and stop me from wrasslin’ for the great fans, a hurtin’ may come your way. Good luck to the rest of you but this is the time for the “Wildcat”.

LR: Right now it seems as though everyone is ready for that tournament tomorrow. It is time for the main event and in it is a man who is -not- in the Southern heavyweight title tournament. Jerry Stubbs will be here to wrestle Jerry Oske.
DB: Stubbs is a surprise that he isn’t in the tournament and I am not sure why that is. As much as I dislike how he does his business in the ring, he would have been my pick to win the tournament.
LR: Probably mine too. But you can never count him out. I am sure he will be in the tournament somehow. Folks, let’s get to the ring for the action.

MAIN EVENT: Jerry Stubbs w. Paul Jones def. Jerry O
/
/
Paul Jones is in the ring with Stubbs.
PJ: Welcome to the Paul Jones Army. You see Jerry Stubbs and I -know- some of you have been wondering why the great tactical mind of Jerry Stubbs is not in the Southern heavyweight title tournament. The reason is simple. His mind is going to be used to make sure the winner is this man…”DIAMOND” TIM FLOWERS!!!!
Flowers comes down and joins Jones and Stubbs.
TF: Let me tell you something… Paul Jones is a legend. He is the smartest man in professional wrestling because he signed the best man in professional wrestling. With Jones & Stubbs, “Diamond” is going to steamroll over everyone else and take that title. It don’t matter who it is because Tim Flowers is -the- man in professional wrestling.
JS: I have something to say. Paul Jones is correct. I am not in this tournament as we -know- I would win it. Tim Flowers, you are a once in a lifetime talent. There is no doubt about that but what you lack in intellect, I have in spades. You -are- going to win that tournament tomorrow night and Paul Jones’ army will reign supreme.
We fade out to Jones laughing and Lance Russell reminding fans to get their tickets for Monday night because they -will- sell out.
