Tony Schiavone and Bobby Heenan open WCW Saturday night by showing footage of WCW Worldwide last week - where new WCW Heavyweight Champion Sting was confronted by Ric Flair and Lex Luger. Heenan announces he will have an exclusive interview with Luger this week - and next week he will speak one-on-one with Ric Flair here on Saturday night!
On tonight's show, WCW World Tag Team Champions Ricky Steamboat and Shane Douglas defend against a new duo known as The Eliminators here, plus Scott Steiner puts the WCW World Television Championship on the line against Arn Anderson.
Match #1
Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko vs. The State Patrol
Arn Anderson comes out to watch these two WCW newcomers, Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko in action, and it's impressive as they take apart James Earl Wright methodically. In the end, Malenko forces Wright to submit to the STF.
WINNERS: CHRIS BENOIT & DEAN MALENKO

Mike Tenay is joined at ringside as Arn Anderson speaks to both Benoit and Malenko.
Anderson: "Everyone knows the whole WCW has been turned on its head. The word is out, and Flair is back. I'll let him tell the world next week why he's back, but I'll give you an idea. You two, I happen to think you might fit into an elite club."
Anderson holds up the four fingers to Benoit and Malenko, then encourages them to follow him to the back.
Match #2
Alex Wright vs. Disco Inferno
'Das Wunderkind' from Germany takes the fight to the annoying Disco Inferno, eventually pinning him with a double-undertook suplex bridged into a pinning combination.
WINNER: ALEX WRIGHT

Mike Tenay is standing by in the dressing room with new WCW World Heavyweight Champion Sting.
Sting: "Tenay, things just keep getting wild here in World Championship Wrestling! We're starting things off right in 1993 with The Stinger on top of the mountain again but I got a lot of questions for Ric Flair, and even more for Lex Luger. Lex, I'll be listening real close to what you have to say later!"
Match #3
WCW World Television Champion Scott Steiner vs. Arn Anderson
This wild match sees Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko out with Anderson, while 'The Dog-Faced Gremlin' Rick Steiner accompanies Scott. At one point, Benoit and Malenko run interference when The Road Warriors jump Rick Steiner on the floor! As the referee goes to try to break it up, Chris Benoit sledges Scotty across the back and then Anderson lays out Steiner with a DDT. Dean Malenko redirects the referee and a three count is made! We have a new champion!
In the post-match, The Road Warriors continue attacking Rick Steiner until officials and prelim wrestlers flood the ringside area.
WINNER: *NEW* WCW WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPION ARN ANDERSON

When 'WCW Saturday Night' returns, Mike Tenay is joined by furious Steiner Brothers at ringside.
Scott Steiner: "Road Warriors, before, it was on a professional level but you just made things personal. You told gold away from me, you jumped my brother. You are gonna pay!"
Rick Steiner: "My head may be swirling right now, but like my brother said, Road Warriors, you made this real personal. Me and my brother can get personal too!"
Match #4
Steven Regal w/ Sir William vs. Kent Cole
The Englishman makes his first appearance on 'WCW Saturday Night' and it looks like he has an aversion to facing an American opponent. Regal eventually holds his own, and after proving he brawl as well as wrestle expertly on a technical level, he forces Cole to submit to a hold he calls the Regal Stretch.
WINNER: STEVEN REGAL

When 'WCW Saturday Night' returns, Missy Hyatt makes her way to the ring and announces she has brought 'the team of the '90s from the wastelands to Dubya Cee Dubya'.
Match #5
WCW World Tag Team Championships
Ricky Steamboat and Shane Douglas vs. The Eliminators w/ Missy Hyatt
The team of Saturn and Kronus look like something out of Mad Max, and they prove to be vicious and brutal. Douglas resorts to fighting fire with fire, even bringing a chair into the ring. Steamboat stops Douglas from using the chair, but Kronus kicks the chair directly into Steamboat's face. The referee calls for the bell as Douglas swings wildly, but is soon overwhelmed by The Eliminators. Saturn and Kronus hit a spike-piledriver on Douglas before clearing out with Missy Hyatt.
WINNERS: RICKY STEAMBOAT AND SHANE DOUGLAS BY DQ

Footage is shown of Ricky Steamboat helping Shane Douglas out of the ring, with assistance from the WCW medical team.
'WCW Saturday Night' cuts back to the interview area where Bobby Heenan is joined by Lex Luger.
Heenan: "Lex, the world wants to know. Why have you come back to WCW?"
Luger: "It's real simple, Bobby. WCW is my home - just like it's Ric Flair's home and like it's Sting's home. WCW is where the big boys play. Look at me, I'm a very big boy!"
Heenan: "It looked like you had a message for Sting last week but Ric Flair's arrival got in the way."
Luger: "Stinger, you and me, we've been through a lot. We've had wars, together and against each other. Make no mistake, Stinger, I respect you and I want my best friend back."
Heenan: "But where do you stand with Ric Flair? You are a former Horseman and it looks like they are making a comeback!"
Luger: "Bobby, I'm afraid that's above even your pay grade."
Bobby Heenan is bewildered as Lex Luger walks off to end this week's 'WCW Saturday Night'.
