Jim Ross: Welcome everyone to the first Smoky Mountain Wrestling show. I am Jim Ross, the voice of professional wrestling. Smoky Mountain Wrestling is for you, the fans who like tradition and good ole’ fashioned wrestling. Tonight we are going to crown not one, but two sets of champions. We are going to have a four team single elimination tournament to crown the first Smoky Mountain tag team champions. Those four teams, The legendary Rock N Roll Express, Ricky & Robert will take on The Minnesota Wrecking Crew. second generation Andersons, the sons of Ole & Gene, Bryant & Brad Anderson. You are also going to see The Midnight Express reunite, Stan Lane & Bobby Eaton with manager Jim Cornette taking on Scott & Steve Armstrong. The winners will face off for the titles in our main event. The other champion we are going to crown is the first ever Beat the Champ television champion. I am going to call out commissioner Bob Armstrong to come explain how we are different than other TV champions. Bob?
BA: Thanks Jim. I am glad to be here and glad to see great, traditional wrestling back in the Smoky Mountains. Now, before I get into the details about the Beat the Champ TV title, let me explain something. The Smoky Mountains are full of rich history, of lawlessness, of people running amok and wild. I want to let those in the back know we won’t be having that here. There -will- be law and order or there -will- be heavy fines. Now…here is how the Beat the Champ TV title will work. We are going to pick two names to wrestle. The winner will be a thousand dollars richer and will be the champion. For the next 4 weeks, that champion will defend the title against another name drawn out of a hat. Each win will garner him a thousand dollars. If at the end of the 5 weeks he is still champion, not only will be he 5 thousand dollars richer, he will get -another- 5 thousand dollars. That is your incentive to keep winning. At the end of that, should the champ remain champion for the whole time, he will retire the belt and two new names will be picked the following week. Now…if the champion is beaten before that 5th week, the new champion will win his first thousand dollars and get his chance to run the streak. So without waiting, Jim, would you pick the first two names?
JR: Sure, Bob. The first name is….”Hollywood” Bob Holly…and the second name is….MICHAEL P.S. HAYES!!! Bob Holly will take on Michael Hayes today for the title.
BA: Good luck to both men. I have fought Hayes and he is a tough customer.
JR: Thank you for the help Bob. Fans, it is time for the first match of the show and the first match of the SMW tag team wrestling tournament.

Ricky Morton: Jimmy Ross…whooo, it is an exciting night. Tonight the Rock N Roll Express will once again become tag team champions. We are going to once again show the world we are the best at what we do.
JR: You had a hard fought match with The newest generation of the Minnesota Wrecking Crew, Bryant & Brad Anderson.
RM: They are no Ole & Gene or even Ole and Arn but they are tough. But I want to say this right now. As much as Robert & I respect The Armstrong family, we hope it is you, Jimmy Cornette and your Midnight Express. We hope it is you coming in the finals because we have some very old scores to settle. The Rock N Roll Express are here to stay, we ain’t here to play. We will see you in the finals, whichever team you are.
RG: Jimmy Cornette, like Ricky just said, we hope it is you because we would love to beat your Midnight Express for the titles. I am going to be keeping an eye on you.
JR: Fans, Ricky and Robert. We will be right back with more action.

**Jim Cornette leads his men to Jim Ross**
JC: Jim Ross, you know what the definition of insanity is? It is when you do the same thing over and over again, expecting a different outcome. That is what insanity is and that is what The Rock N Roll Express are. They are insane. How many times have they been tag team champions?
JR: Countless times.
JC: And how many times has the Midnight Express beaten them? Countless times.
JR: They have beaten your team too.
JC: That don’t matter, Jim Ross. What matters is they won’t beat us tonight. Robert says he is going to have an eye on me? I bet he will with one eye over here and one eye over there, I am sure one will be on me. Ricky & Robert, your time is done. Tonight ends the Rock N Roll Express Vs The Midnight Express because one more time you will lose to us.
**Dick Slater & Greg Valentine come out**
DS: Jimmy Cornette…let me say something. You know us, right?
JC: Sure I do.
DS: Then you know we don’t play around. So here is what we are saying, right here, right now. If you win tonight, me and Greg want a title shot.
Stan Lane: What do you mean if?
DS: Jimmy, control your lapdog. I said “if” because we know the Rock N Roll Express are tough. So if you win, we want that title shot. We aren’t asking. We are taking it. Same goes with the Rock N Roll’s. If they win, we are taking that title shot.
**Slater & Valentine leave as Lane is asking Cornette about the lapdog comment and Jim is trying to calm him down.

JR: We are back and the finals for the SMW tag team championship later tonight is set. The Midnight Express take on the Rock N Roll Express in another of the many fights between the two teams. What does he want? Fans…”Hotstuff” Eddie Gilbert.
EG: Jim Ross you should be ashamed of yourself for not being more excited to see me.
JR: What are you doing here?
EG: As you know, Hotstuff International is the greatest stable of wrestlers ever to be in the world of wrestling. If you are a big name, we either made you or I lead you to where you are today. As to why I am here, I am bringing Hotstuff International to Smoky Mountain. I am going to assemble the greatest collection of professional wrestlers.
JR: You still haven’t said why you are out here.
EG: I am out here to scout. I know Michael Hayes. He is one of the best. I also have heard of this Bob Holly guy. So if you don’t mind…
JR: I do mind.
EG: I don’t care.
JR: Folks, let’s just go to the ring for the first Beat the Champ TV title match.

EG: Let me congratulate you first, Michael. Great job and you will make a great champion.
MH: Whatever you are selling, Eddie Gilbert, I am not interested in.
EG: No need to get insulting, Michael. I am just here to offer you a spot in the prestigious Hotstuff International.
MH: I just won one thousand dollars in ten minutes without your help. What can you offer me?
EG: I can offer you protection for that title. You want to keep it for the 5 weeks? I can do that.
MH: Does it look like I need you to help me? No thank you.
EG: I don’t think you know what you are saying. Bob Holly hit your head a little too hard.
MH: Eddie Gilbert, I am going to forget you just said that and leave before I do some bad things.
**Hayes leaves as Gilbert reiterates that Hayes does not know what he is talking about and we go to commercial**

JR: We are back and the last commercial break is over. We already crowned the first Beat the Champ TV champion in Michael “P.S.” Hayes and now we will crown the first Smoky Mountain tag team champions. The Rock N Roll Express defeated The Minnesota Wrecking Crew, Bryant & Brad Anderson, to get here and The Midnight Express defeated Steve & Scott Armstrong to get here. It is main event time so let’s get to the action.

MAIN EVENT (Finals for the SMW Tag Team Championship): The Midnight Express w. Jim Cornette def. The Rock & Roll Express after Cornette his Morton with his racket

Cornette is celebrating in the ring with his Midnight Express when Slater & Valentine rush the ring. Slater confronts Cornette and starts yelling. Eaton pushes Valentine who pushes back and the fight is on. By this time, Ricky Morton has recovered enough to join in making it a three team brawl as we fade out o JR saying make sure to watch next week.
