CRUISE and ROUGEAU welcome us to historic Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto, Ontario for another exciting episode of NWA TOTAL NON-STOP ACTION WRESTLING!
This week . . . we’ll hear from “Dr. Death” Steve Williams regarding the injury to his friend, Terry Funk, at the hands of the NWA World Champ Jeff Jarrett . . . The Barber Shop returns, and this week, the Barber’s guest will be a newcomer to the NWA, the State Trooper . . . Earthquake will be here to address the recent incident with King Kong Bundy at Saturday Night Supercade . . . Plus, TV Champion Chris Candido will defend the title against Cowboy Lance Cassidy.
Footage is shown from Saturday Night Supercade on Sept. 7, focusing on the three title changes, as the Heavenly Bodies beat Rick and Scott Steiner for the NWA World Tag titles, the Ultimate Warrior beat Unabomb in the tournament final for the vacant North American title, and Jeff Jarrett won the biggest match of his career, beating Terry Funk for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship!
Footage is then shown of Jeff Jarrett injuring Terry Funk with a guitar shot, followed by a piledriver on the cement floor!
CRUISE and ROUGEAU talk about the injury that Terry Funk sustained, with Cruise saying that right now, it’s up in the air as to whether or not Funk will ever wrestle again.
Prior to the start of the first match, Firebreaker Chip comes out to the ring, and cuts a promo, telling the kids watching not to play with matches.

MATCH #1:
KING KONG BUNDY beats FIREBREAKER CHIP. Chip puts up a good fight, but Bundy eventually overpowers him, putting the Firebreaker away with the Atlantic City Avalanche for the 3-count.
We go to STAN LANE for a CONTROL CENTRE segment, brought to us by TOYS ‘R’ US!
LANE runs down some upcoming NWA events, and then says that the NWA will make it’s return to Pay-Per-View, on Saturday, December 28 with BATTLEBOWL!
BattleBowl will feature the LETHAL LOTTERY MATCH, a huge 8-man tag team match, where the teams are drawn completely at random! The four members of the winning team will then face off in the main event of the evening, a Four Corners match, and the winner of that match will be awarded the BattleBowl trophy!
Several other matches will take place on the show as well, including an NWA World Title match, and the participants in these matches will be announced as we get closer to the show.
A vignette airs, featuring a newcomer to the NWA, EL MARIACHI. We see him performing at a Mexican restaurant.
VS.
MATCH #2:
THE ACADIAN GIANT battles UNABOMB (w/ Harvey Whippleman) to a Double Count-out. Within the first couple of minutes of the match, the Giant sends Unabomb to the floor with a running boot to the face, that knocks Unabomb through the ropes. Outside the ring, the two man pay no attention to the referee’s count, and they end up getting counted out.
After the bell rings to end the match, Whippleman motions to the back, and MORTIS arrives on the scene! Acadian Giant tries to fight both Mortis and Unabomb off, but they eventually get the better of him. At that point THE ULTIMATE WARRIOR arrives on the scene, and he and the Giant fight Unabomb and Mortis off!
DR. DEATH STEVE WILLIAMS cuts a promo, promising to make Jeff Jarrett pay for injuring his friend Terry Funk. Williams asks the NWA Championship Committee to sign a title match between him and Jarrett.
We go to BRUTUS BEEFCAKE on the set of THE BARBER SHOP.
BRUTUS welcomes his guest this week, from Massachussetts, THE STATE TROOPER.
TROOPER says he wanted to work in law enforcement since he was a kid, his father was a Massachussetts State Trooper, and he wanted nothing more than to follow in his father’s footsteps. He says that working as a State Trooper is rewarding, but he wanted something more, and that’s when he got into pro wrestling. He says that he’s going to clean up the NWA and tells the rulebreakers to watch out, or they’ll end up behind bars!
VS.
[/center]MATCH #3:
COWBOY RICK CASEY beats KENNY KAOS (w/ Robbie Rage). Casey gets the win in a hard-fought match after connecting with a diving clothesline from the top rope.
CHRIS CRUISE interviews EARTHQUAKE at ringside. ‘Quake talks about how he’s retired from active competition, when he’s confronted by KING KONG BUNDY!
BUNDY insults ‘Quake, saying he couldn’t cut it in wrestling, so he got out. Bundy says that he’s the dominant big man in the sport today, while Earthquake is just a nobody!
Earthquake gets in Bundy’s face, and says that nobody in wrestling instilled fear in their opponents the way that ‘Quake has, not Bundy, not anybody! He talks about the fact that he nearly ended Hulk Hogan’s career 6 years ago, in the summer of 1990.
Bundy says that he was beating up on Hogan before Earthquake even got into wrestling! Bundy then challenges ‘Quake to get in the ring with him and the world will see that Earthquake is just a cheap rip-off of King Kong Bundy!
The two have a staredown as the show cuts to a commercial break.
An ad airs for the new edition of NWA magazine, on newstands now!
