The program begins with highlights from last week.
Cornette, “Okerlund, if that is indeed your real name, I don’t care, Bobby and Dennis don’t care. No one can rattle us, we are the Global Tag Team Champions, and the greatest tag team in the world!”
We hear,
“Listen everybody let me tell you 'bout the rock 'n' roll
Feel that rhythm and it's really gonna thrill your soul
She said come along with me, to a land of make believe”
Down the aisle come, Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson, the Rock and Roll Express! They climb into the ring.
Okerlund, “Oh My! The Rock and Roll Express! They are your biggest Rivals!”
The program ends with two of the greatest tag teams of all time in the ring together.
Jim Ross and Jesse Ventura open the program.
Ross, “Welcome to ‘Global Monday’! Jess, the Rock and Roll Express are in the GWA, and James E. Cornette has slept in a week!”
Ventura, “I don’t know about that Ross! The Rock and Roll Express are good, but so are the Midnights! We have the best in tag team wrestling right here!”
Ross, “That is right! The Rock and Rolls will be in ‘Piper’s Pit’, and we will see them in action, and speaking of newcomers, General Skandor Akbar has a new man, let’s go to the ring!”
General Skandor Akbar is in the ring. He takes the mic from Howard Finkel.
Akbar, “That’s right! The General has a new man…from the ‘Double Cross Ranch’ in Amarillo, TX, from one of the greatest wrestling families in history…Jimmy Jack Funk!”
Funk comes to the ring.
Match #1
Jimmy Jack Funk w/General Skandor Akbar vs. David Sammartino
Funk wrestles a wild, aggressive style. He is all over Sammartino. David mounts a brief comeback, but JJ is too much. He hits a shoulder breaker for the win. The General has another good one.

The Islanders w/Bobby “The Brain” Heenan vs. Buck Zumhofe and Robbie Ellis
Heenan’s team has been very impressive. Tama starts with Zumhofe. Tama’s speed controls the action. Buck is in trouble. He fights his way out of the corner. He tags in Ellis. Robbie puts up a good fight, but Haku tags in. He overpowers the art dealer, and wins with a crescent kick. Heenan is very pleased.

Global Television Championship
Butch Reed (Champion) w/Bobby “The Brain” Heenan vs. Skip Young
Reed has Hacksaw Duggan hot on his trail. Tonight he takes on the high flying veteran from Dallas. Young goes to the air, and hit and run tactics. Reed is frustrated. Heenan shouts instructions from ringside. Finally Butch slows Young down, and wins with a bulldog.
Winner-Butch Reed
We see the Piper’s Pit set. Roddy Piper walks out.
Piper, “ Hello everybody! RP here. My guests tonight showed up last week, and sent old Cornette into a tizzy! He has a good tag team, but not this good! My guests are the Rock and Roll Express!”
Ricky Morton, and Robert Gibson come out and shake hands with Piper.
Piper, “The fans love you guys! Look, I’m the guy who tells it like it is. I know how good you are, but I know how good loud mouthed Cornette’s team is. Can you beat them, can you win the titles?”
Morton, “We did it before, we can do it again! We know how good Eaton and Labe are, we know Cornette will stick his nose into things. We don’t care. Robert and I know how good we are, and with the fans behind us, we can’t lose!”
Gibson, “Ricky’s right. We know it won’t be easy, but we’ve taken titles from them before, and we’ll do it again!”
Morton, “Rock and Roll is here to stay!”
Piper, “I think they can do it! They are in our next match!”
We see highlights of Kerry Von Erich with the words “Coming to the GWA!”
Match #4
Rock and Roll Express vs. Kelly Kiniski and Kevin Kelly
Morton and Gibson hit the ring, and the crowd, especially the young ladies, go crazy. The Rock and Roll give up a lot of size to Kiniski and Kelly. Orion starts with Kelly. Ricky flies around, and he gets the better of Kevin. However, they trap Morton in the corner. Ricky escapes and tags in Gibson. Kiniski tags in, and he and Gibson tag in. Finally, the Express hit the double drop kick for the win.

“Mean” Gene Okerlund is with Ric Flair and Bobby Heenan.
Okerlund, “With me are Ric Flair and his manager Bobby ‘The Wease…’, I mean ‘Brain’ Heenan.”
Heenan, “Watch it Okerlund! You’re here on a trial basis, I can fire you any time I want!”
Okerlund, “I hardly think so. Now Mr. Flair, you are hot on the trail of the Global Champion, but you can’t seem to beat Barry Windham. The whispers continue, are you washed up?”
Flair, “Okerlund, I’ve always had a lot of respect for you, but that can change! Ric Flair is the best in the game, I’m ‘Slick Ric’, I’m “Space Mountain”!”
Okerlund, “”Space Mountain’, that’s the oldest ride in the park!”
Flair, “And it always has the longest line! WOOOOOOOO!”
Heenan, “Okerlund, it’s just a matter of time until we get that title back. Windham can’t stay lucky forever, you can count on that!”
Okerlund, “I don’t know, youth may be served! Mr. Flair is in action when we return.”

Ric Flair w/Bobby “The Brain” Heenan vs. Johnny Smith
2001 plays and the “Nature Boy” comes down the aisle. Flair struts around the ring. The powerful Smith fights waits in the corner. Robert Warren calls for the bell, and we are underway. Johnny uses his power to start fast. Flair slows the pace, and he takes control. Heenan shouts instructions from ringside. Ric slaps on the figure four. Smith quickly submits. The former champion is on his game.
Winner-Ric Flair
“Mean” Gene Okerlund is with “Macho Man” Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth.
Okerlund, “With me are the North American Champion, Randy Savage, and his lovely manager, Miss Elizabeth. ‘Macho Man’, last week Larry Zbyszko challenged you for your North American Title. Mr. Zbyszko has been very impressive. I know that President Monsoon has been working on signing matches between you two. Are you ready for him?”
Savage, “Ready, is the ‘Macho Man’ ready, of course he is, he is! Zbyszko, you think you’re something, you are good, but you aren’t the “Macho Man’, no you’re not! I’ve got Miss Elizabeth and the fans behind me! I’m ready for you. You just step into the ring with me, and let me teach you a lesson…OH YEAAAA!”
Okerlund, “Savage vs. Zbyszko, don’t miss that one.

Non-Title Match
“Macho Man” Randy Savage (North American Champion) w/Miss Elizabeth vs. Tom “Rocky” Stone
The Champion comes to the ring. The crowd loves him, and especially Miss Elizabeth. Savage moves quickly. He is one of the best in the game. Stone puts up a good fight, but the “Macho Man” is too much. He hits the flying elbow for the win.
Winner-Randy Savage
“Mean” Gene Okerlund is with Hacksaw Jim Duggan.
Okerlund, “With me is Hacksaw Jim Duggan. Mr. Duggan, you have been chasing Butch Reed, and the Global Television Championship. The fans are behind you, and you have come very close to taking the title.”
Duggan, “Reed, you’re running from me! You and Heenan are cowards. Fight me one on one, you can’t beat me! I want the TV Title, and I’ll get it! HOOOOOOOO!”
Match #7
Hacksaw Jim Duggan vs. “Wild” Bill Irwin
Two tough guys meet in the main event. Both men start fast. They stand toe to toe, and throw big haymakers. Duggan whips Irwin into the ropes and drops him with a clothesline. Bill goes down, and Duggan covers him. Irwin kicks out. The action gets even more intense. Both men have their chances. Finally Duggan hits a spear for the win. As soon as referee Earl Hebner counts three Butch Reed hits the ring. They brawl until wrestlers from the back pull them apart. GWA President Gorilla Monsoon comes to the ring, and grabs the mic.
Monsoon, “Alright you two, let’s do this man to man. Next week, you two, for the Global Television Title!”
Both men seem to agree.
Winner-Hacksaw Jim Duggan
Jim Ross and Jesse Ventura close the show.
Ross, “Jess, the President has spoken, Duggan vs. Reed for the TV Title!”
Ventura, “That will be a great one Ross!”
Bobby Heenan walks out.
Ross, “Heenan, what are you doing out here?”
Heenan, “I’m here to talk to Jesse. Jesse, Okerlund had me confused. I’ve got a big announcement. Next week, I’m going to debut a new man, and it’s going to blow the lid off the GWA!”
Ventura, “If ‘The Brain’ says it, it’s going to be big!”
Ross, “The TV Title match, and Heenan’s new man, don’t miss next week!”
