Cornette, “In case you missed it, let me introduce the “NEW” Global Tag Team Champions, ‘Lover Boy Dennis’ and ‘Beautiful Bobby’, the Midnight Express!”
The new champions come to the ring.
Non Title Match
The Midnight Express (Global Tag Champions) w/James E. Cornette vs. Skip Young and Buck Zumhofe
Cornette’s men defeated the Freebirds in Buffalo. His men are on top of their game. Condrey and Young start things. Dennis is very aggressive, and he grounds the high flying Young. Condrey tags in Eaton, and Bobby continues the assault. Zumhofe tries his hand, but fares no better. The Champions use the rocket launcher for the win.
Winners- The Midnight Express
Jim Ross joins Cornette and his team in the ring.
Ross, “With me are the new Global Tag Team Champions, and their manager, James E. Cornette.”
Cornette, “That just galls you doesn’t it Ross?”
Ross, “You have a great team, but your methods are not not very honorable.”
Cornette, “Who cares Ross. The titles are where they belong, and they ‘re going to stay there! Bobby and Dennis can beat those dirty rednecks any day, and time! I just told you what’s going to happen, get used to it!”
Ross, “Maybe so, but I wouldn’t count out the ‘Birds.”
Cornette,,”Of course you wouldn’t, but when you start to count beyond three, you get pretty confused!”
Ross, “As annoying as this man is, he manages a great tag team.”

Iceman King Parsons vs. Gary Royal
Iceman King Parsons returned to the GWA at “The Spring Spectacular''. He is exciting and very popular. Parsons starts quickly. Royal doesn’t know what hit him. He tries a few underhanded tactics, but the Iceman is too much. He uses the butt bump for the win.

Global Television Championship
Butch Reed (Champion) w/Bobby “The Brain” Heenan vs. Pedro Morales
Reed takes on the former WWWF Champion. Pedro has some miles on him, but he has a veteran’s skill set. Morales keeps moving and Reed is frustrated. Heenan shouts instructions from ringside. Slowly Butch begins to gain control. He uses the bulldog for the win.
Winner-Butch Reed
We see the “Piper’s Pit” set.
Roddy Piper walks out.
Piper,” Hello everyone, RP here! I'm so happy today. Today I get to fun old Boobs again. My guests are Bobby Heenan, and Ric Flair.”
Heenan and Flair walk out.
Piper, “”Alright Boobs, I know you’re here to gloat. Flair pinned the Champion, but he used the ropes!”
Heenan, “So what Piper! This is wrestling, not ballet! Ric Flair is the best wrestler in the business, and he proved it. Now Windham, get in the ting, put that title on the line, and Ric will take it back!”
Flair, “Barry Windham! You’ve had it too good! It’s time for me to be the Champion again! Put your name on the dotted line, and give it up! Just remember, I’m ‘Slick Ric’, I’m ‘Space Mountain’, I’m the best th8ng going today! WOOOOOOOOO!”
Piper, “I think Windham can beat you, but I’d love to see the match!”
Match #4
Million Dollar Man w/Virgil vs. Greg Gagne
We see Ted DiBiase and Virgil in the ring. DiBiase takes the mic.
DiBiase, “That’s right, I’m back! Not only am I the best wrestler in the world, but I’m the wealthiest, I am the ‘Million Dollar Man’. With wealth, come danger, people want my money, so I need a bodyguard. This is Virgil, to get to me, you have to go through him!”
You can’t forget DiBiase is a great wrestler, and he proves it. Gagne is a very skilled veteran, and he holds his own. Virgil stands stone faced at ringside. DiBiase takes over and clamps on the Cobra hold, or as calls it the “Million Dollar Dream”. Gagne is out. Virgil takes a $100 bill and stuffs it in Gagne’s mouth.

Match #5
Larry Zbyszko vs. George South
“Larry Legend” has returned with a bang. South starts fast, but the veteran from Pittsburgh controls the tempo. Larry can wrestle, but he can also break those rules. Zbyszko does both, and he is in control. South is game, but Zbyszko wins with a neckbreaker.

Ross, “”What a night we had in Buffalo! Our first Pay per View since we returned was a rousing success. The crowd loved it, the people at home have called, and written in. People loved ‘The Spring Spectacular’. Let’s talk about what happened. You already know that James E. Cornette’s Midnight Express captured the Global Tag Team Titles from the Freebirds.
We also told you Ric Flair pinned Barry Windham, albeit with the ropes, to win the big tag team match. Flair now wants the Global Title, that’s something to keep an eye on.
In a vicious match, ‘The Macho Man’ and the Iron Sheik settled nothing. That match was brutal, with both men pulling out all the stops, Savage is still the North American Champion…barely.
We also saw the return of the popular ‘Iceman’. King Parsons is back in the GWA.
Finally, we saw the birth of the ‘Million Dollar Man’. Ted DiBiase now has a bodyguard named Virgil. If anything, Ted DiBiase is more dangerous than before.

“Wild “ Bill Irwin vs. Tom Zenk
Two men from the “Land of 10,000 Lakes” do battle. Irwin starts fast. The big biker is very aggressive. He hammers away at Zenk. Irwin goes for a body slam. Zenk blocks it, and reverses it. He slams Irwin, and goes for a cover. Irwin kicks out. The fans love the back and forth action. Zenk whips Irwin into the ropes and for the sleeper. He gets it set. Irwin is in trouble. He fights, and reaches the ropes. Referee Earl Hebner calls for the break. Both men pick up the pace. They end up slugging it out on the floor. Hebner’s count reaches ten. Both men are counted out.
Result-Double Count Out
Milt Avruskin is with the Fabulous Freebirds.
Avruskin, “With me are the former Global Tag Team Champions the Fabulous Freebirds. Gentlemen, you lost a controversial decision to Jim Cornette and his men. I know you are looking for revenge.”
Hayes, “That’s right Avruskin, we got beat, and we got cheated! That Happens. This is wrestling. Bam Bam, and Buddy Jack, and I are out for revenge! Cornette, we knew what you were capable of, maybe we overlooked that. It won’t happen again! We’re going to get a rematch, and we’re going to beat you, and those belts are coming back to ‘Badstreet Atlanta, GA’!”
Avruskin, “Well, tonight you meet a masked team from Puerto Rico, the Super Medicos. No one seems to know much about them.”
Gordy, “Do you think we’re afraid of two masked clowns! No, we’re not!”
Avruskin, “The Freebirds have spoken.”

The Fabulous Freebirds vs. The Super Medicos
Hayes and Gordy will represent the ‘Birds. The masked team from Puerto Rico has been very successful in the Caribbean. Medico I opens with Gordy. Terry has the big size advantage. He works over the masked man. Gordy slams his head into the turnbuckle. Medico I is in trouble. He tries to use his speed. It works, and he is able to escape. The masked man tags in his partner. The other Medico tries his hand. Hayes tags in, and the leader of the Freebirds takes over. He hits the DDT for the win. The Freebirds are ready for a rematch.
Winner-The Fabulous Freebirds
Jim Ross, and Jesse Ventura close the program.
Ross, “Hold on a second Jess. I’m getting word there is something going on backstage.
We see a hallway. There is a commotion, and GWA President Gorilla Monsoon, and Skandor Akbar, come into frame. They are arguing. Both men enter an office, and slam the door. Soon, Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth come down the hall and enter the office.
Ross, “Jesse, what’s going on?”
Ventura, “I don’t know Ross, but it has something to do with Akbar, and Savage. I just don’t know!”
Ross, “Well, tune in next Monday and find out!”
