Landell gets to the ropes to break the cloverleaf, and things pick up as he and Garvin trade blows and we are close to a brawl.
The action is wild and woolly and Landell’s dirty tactics build Garvin’s anger more and more as the match progresses to the point the ref has to stop Ronnie from getting at Landell even when Landell has his foot between the ropes! As the ref pushes Garvin back, Landell shoves his fingers in one of his boots, approaches Garvin and GARVIN GETS A LEFT AND A RIGHT AT LANDELL, HANDS OF STONE! But wait! In between the punches Landell manages to rub his fingers in Garvin's eyes and Garvin is immediately taken aback! He grabs his eyes, which become red and teary, and it is clear he cannot see as Landell batters him!
Garvin throws wild, blind punches but Landell clotheslines the startled Garvin, makes the cover: 1-2-3!
The ref checks Garvin's eyes as Landell rolls out of the ring, grabs the towel from under the ring, and wipes his hands! FANS WHAT CHICANERY IS THIS?
He throws the towel back under the ring as the ref demands to check his hands as Owen Hart and Brian Pillman run in with a wet towel to aid Garvin! The ref does not detect anything on Landell’s hands: HEY REF, FIND THAT TOWEL, and turns his attention to Garvin who stands up and HAS TO BE HELD BACK, STILL BLINDED BUT DESPERATE TO GET HIS HANDS ON LANDELL, who drops to the ringside, grabs the towel, and frog matches to the back!
