McMahon, “Let’s not waste any more time, and go to Howard Finkel!”
Match #1
Baron Von Raschke vs. Frenchy Martin
The veteran from Germany returns to the GWA. Von Raschke struts around the ring. The crowd loves the Baron. Martin can match Von Raschke move for move. The match is hard hitting, and Martin gets in some good shots. In the end the Baron clamps on the claw, and Martin is out.

The Midnight Express w/Jim Cornette vs. Ben Bassarab and Biff Wellington
Cornette takes the mic from Howard Finkel.
Cornette, “Ladies, and gentlemen, I present to you the future Global Tag Team Champions, twin sons of different mothers, Loverboy Dennis, Beautiful Bobby, the Midnight Express!”
Bassarab and Wellington are a good young team, but the MX may be the best in the business. Eaton and Wellington start the match. Bobby is sharp, and he controls the action. Wellington puts up a good fight, and the Hamilton fans are on their feet. Condrey tags in and continues the attack. Cornette shouts instructions from ringside. Bassarab enters, but the Champions have momentum. The Express use the double goozzle for the win.

Match #3
Bob Dellaserra vs. Dale Veasey
Two good young wrestlers meet here. Veasey, from Alaska, has been very impressive. He goes right after the young Canadian. Dale works over Bob, and traps him in the corner. Bob fights his way out of the corner. The pace of the match increases. Veasey takes over and wins with a shoulder breaker.
Winner- Dale Veasey
We see the “Piper’s Pit” set.
Piper walks out.
Piper, “My guest tonight has a big mouth, just like me…Larry Zbyszko.”
Zbyszko walks out. He and Piper are eye to eye.
Piper, “Alright, back off, we’re here to talk. Zbyszko, you and Heenan used to be together, now you’re by yourself. Can you handle that?”
Zbyszko, “Piper, I’ve spent 13 glorious years in the sport. I don’t need Heenan, or anyone else. I came here to make a name for myself, like I have everywhere else. Any title here is in my path, and I’m going to decide which one I want. I’m going to the top of the wrestling world, and all you spud heads better get used to it!”
Piper, “You got a big mouth, but you might be able to back it up!”

Pedro Morales vs. The Great Wojo
The popular former World Champion meets the man from Toledo. Wojo jumps Pedro before the bell, and dishes out punishment. Pedro is trapped in the corner, but he fights his way out. We have a slug fest on our hands. The southpaw from Puerto Rico takes over. He scoops up Wojo up in the airplane spin. Pedro dumps him on the mat and pins his opponent.

Fabulous Freebirds (Global Tag Team Champions) vs. “Mean” Mike Miller and Richard Charland
We hear “Badstreet '' play and the Champions come to the ring. Tonight it will be Hayes and Gordy in the ring with Roberts at ringside. The leader of the “Birds starts and it’s Hayes vs. Miller. Michael is very savvy, and he controls the action. Miller mounts a comeback. He whips Hayes into the ropes, and waits for a backdrop. Hayes sees it coming, and lands a boot to the head. Gordy tags in, and big “Bamm Bamm” comes in. The rugged Charland enters, and goes after Gordy. Charland puts up a good fight, but Gordy hits a power bomb for the win.
Winners- The Fabulous Freebirds
Jim Ross is with the Fabulous Freebirds.
Ross, “With me are the Global Tag Team Champions the Fabulous Freebirds. Gentlemen, you came away with a hard fought win tonight, but let’s talk about ‘Spring Spectacular”. We can announce that you will put the titles on the line against Jim Cornette and the Midnight Express. Many experts predict the challengers can take your titles.”
Gordy, “Ross, do you think we care what ‘the experts’ think? No, we don’t!”
Hayes, “Listen Ross, we know how good they are, but look at us, we’ve held these titles for a long time, and we’ve taken care of every challenger! We’re not worried, and we’re walking out of Buffalo as the champions, you can take that to the bank!”

Bruce Hart vs. “Playboy” Buddy Rose
The “Playboy” takes on the veteran from Calgary. Hart starts fast. He is very aggressive, and Rose is frustrated. Buddy takes to the floor to slow the pace. Rose argues with the ringsiders. Rose returns to the ring. He wrestles at his pace, and he controls the action. Rose hits the piledriver for the win.

“The Living Legend” is back. Larry sets the pace, and Zenk is frustrated. He wants to wrestle quickly, and Zbyszko knows this. Zenk rushes in, and that was a mistake. Zbyszko goes to work on Tom’s neck and shoulders. He drives an elbow into Zenk’s back. Tom tries to mount a comeback. It works for a time, but the veteran from Pittsburgh is too much. He uses a neckbreaker for the win. “The Living Legend” wins!
