Austin Idol and Billy Jack Haynes stand in front of the UWA logo...
IDOL: As my ol' buddy Rod Stewart would say, “Tonight's the night!” I finally get a shot at revenge on the Tennessee Dud and his Stable! And look at who I've got on my side, the Undisputed Champion of the World! The king of the mountain, people! Billy Jack Haynes!!!
HAYNES: Fuller is sending the Master of Pain and Jimmy Golden into the ring against us! Master of Pain, I showed you what I could do at WINTER WARFARE! I'm still not done with you, big man! Austin has told me all about what the Stud Stable did to him down in Florida and I can't wait to help him get payback!
VTR:
Ron Fuller is standing in the ring in the empty Portland Sports Arena.
FULLER: Austin Idol, you lowlife snake in the grass! We thought we finished you off down in Pensacola, but you come slithering back! Now, you got that musclehead Billy Jack on your side! He won't do you any good, Idol! Lookit at who I have here! (Jimmy Golden and the Master of Pain enter the ring) My beloved cousin, Gentleman Jimmy Golden, one of the best ever! The awesome Master of Pain! A man who would be World Champion if there was any justice in the world! Idol, we put you out of the sport once and we plan on doing it again tonight!
VTR:
Bill Dundee and the Nasty Boys are standing in the locker room.
DUNDEE: Tonight, here on UWA Fury, it's a big night for the House of Dundee! I'm defending my World Junior Heavyweight Title against that tall drink o' water Sam Houston! We're also gonna start the process of getting rid of the Rock and Roll! Gonna take 'em out one at a time!
KNOBBS: Yeah, I'm takin you out, Ricky Morton!
VTR OPENING:
As the music plays we see the following:
Billy Jack Haynes holding a championship belt above his head!
Haynes overhead press slamming an opponent!
Rock and Roll Express hitting a double dropkick!
Dan Spivey powerbombing Billy Jack on the concrete floor!
Jos LeDuc putting the bearhug on Tom Prichard!
Ron Fuller leading Master of Pain to the ring!
Buzz Sawyer hitting a powerslam!
Iceman Parsons hitting the butt bump!
Nord the Berzerker coming to the ring, waving his sword above his head!
Billy Jack Haynes applying the full nelson!
MARSHALL: You've just seen a preview of what we'll see tonight on UWA FURY! Also, Stan Stasiak, you've had your meeting with new UWA President Frank Dusek, and he's here tonight to rule on Van Vader!
STASIAK: Vader represents everything wrong with pro wrestling! He's interested in one thing: putting wrestlers in the hospital! I'm counting on Frank Dusek to make the right decision!
MARSHALL: Our first match is about to start....
Three wrestlers stand in the ring as we hear...
“Midnight Soldier” Brian Adams leads a team of popular faces to the ring as the crowd pops! The faces and a bunch of fans wear MIDNIGHT ARMY t shirts(yep, we gave out freebies to the first 500 fans).
“Midnight Soldier” Brian Adams, Johnny Ace, & Iceman King Parsons vs. Iron Mike Sharpe, JT Southern, & Keith Eric: A showcase for the faces, although Sharpe does get some offense in. Ace pins Eric after an Ace Crusher.
VTR:
We are at poolside. Eddie Gilbert, dressed in a Hawaiian shirt and sunglasses and carrying a glass of wine is strolling around the pool.
GILBERT: My name is “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert. I am on my way to the United Wrestling Alliance! I'll be wrestling on UWA FURY right here next week! This will sound like bragging, but it's gospel truth! I can do it all! I can wrestle better than Billy Jack! I can fight better than Jos LeDuc or Cactus Jack! I cn manage bettr than RoN Wright! I can announce better than Lee Marshall! And I'm not coming alone! Cameraman, swing your camera to my left- start at the perfectly pedicured toes and slowly pan up to the face that broke a million hearts!
The cameraman follows Gilbert's direction and the fans get the first look at Missy Hyatt!!!
GILBERT: Ladies and gentleman, the First Lady of Pro Wrestling, the Walking Riot, Missy Hyatt!!! Guys, don't leave your wives!
MISSY: If they're planning on leaving anyway, why not? After all, a lot of the ladies watching will wanna leave their beer bellied, bald headed husbands for you, Eddie!
GILBERT: Awww, baby, you only say it 'cause it's true!
Missy stands up. She and Eddie kiss.
MISSY: See you next week, UWA!
GILBERT: We're taking over!
COMMERCIAL
The Fabulous Ones vs. Gerry Morrow & Goldie Rogers: The Fabs dominate the action and Keirn pins Rogers after a big forearm.
MARSHALL: Ladies and gentlemen, it is my pleasure to introduce the President of the United Wrestling Alliance, the honorable Captain Frank Dusek!
Dusek enters the scene, carrying a file folder. He shakes hands with both Marshall and Stasiak.
MARSHALL: I know that you met with Stan Stasiak this past week. We are all anxiously awaiting your response.
DUSEK: First, Stan, I want to thank you for your concern about our great organization. I've given what you said a great deal of thought. The UWA is committed to giving our fans the very best professional wrestling action in the world. You raised some very valid concerns this past week. As I said, we do our best to present the best wrestling in the world and that means bringing in the best wrestlers. (pulls magazine from folder) Pro Wrestling Illustrated (opens mag) World Rankings...Van Vader is ranked four. (Pulls out another magazina and opens it) Wrestling World, world rankings..Van Vader, ranked #3 in the world! Up until recently, Van Vader was under contract to the GWA. We are in competition with the GWA. They present live wrestling cards, pay per view cards, and they have a TV program on USA like we do. They made a great effort to re-sign Van Vader, but we were able to outbid them. World Wide Wrestling on Superstation TBS, another competing promotion, also made an offer, so did the IWF, and the great Wrestle Kingdom promotion in Japan. Fortunately, the UWA won the bidding war. As a result, we have one of the top talents in the sport entering the UWA. Stan, I have great respect for you and I understand your concerns. As UWA President, I have a full panoply of resources to keep order. I can fine, I can suspend, and under extreme circumstances, I can ban a wrestler for life! This isn't what you want to hear, but Big Van Vader will wrestle SD “Special Delivery” Jones here on UWA Fury next week!
STASIAK: I hope that isn't a mistake!
DUSEK: I think it will all work out just fine, Stan!
MARSHALL: The World Tag Team Champions are up next!

The Super Samoans (w/Ron Wright) vs. Art Barr & Jason Walker: Wright's World Tag Titleholders simply destroy their opponents this week! Kokina pins Walker after a huge legdrop. Lee Marshall says that Afa & Kokina will defend the belts on next week's UWA FURY!
MARSHALL: Ladies and gentlemen, that tag team division in the UWA is sensational and it just keeps getting better! A new young team out of South Africa are coming here very soon. They are STEVE & SHAUN SIMPSON!!!
VTR:
As the music plays, we see in ring highlights of the Simpsons. We also see scenes of Shaun and Steve riding motorcycles down the highway, working out in the gym, and frolicking on the beach with some lovely young ladies.
COMMERCIAL
Rising Suns #1 & #2 (w/Tojo Yamammoto) vs. Dutch Mantel & Brickhouse Brown: The masked team from Japan get a hard match from Brown and “Dirty” Dutch. Rising Sun #1 pins mantel after a thrust kick to the throat. Lee and Stan hype the level of tag team wrestling here in the UWA.
VTR:
We see grainy, black and white footage of football games.
ANNOUNCER: (voice over)You've heard of the Orange Bowl, Sugar Bowl, Cotton Bowl, and even the Super Bowl! Are you ready for BATTLE BOWL???
A large trophy stands in an empty wrestling ring, bathed in spotlights.
ANNOUNCER: On May 14, only on pay per view, live from Tingley Coliseum in Albequerque, the stars of the United Wrestling Alliance will battle for this amazing trophy and the title “Lord of the Ring”....
A briefcase falls to the mat, bursts open on impact, revealing that it is full of large bills!
ANNOUNCER: ...as well as a future World Title match and $500,000.00!!! DON'T MISS BATTLE BOWL 1988!!!

Tom Prichard vs. George South: Prichard is coming off the loss of the UWA TV Title to Jos LeDuc. Prichard shows no ill effects as he pins South with a sunset flip in a convincing win. After the bout, Mark Lowrance enters the ring to speak with Prichard.
LOWRANCE: I'm here with the former UWA TV Champion, Tom Prichard. Now, that you're no longer champion, what are your plans?
PRICHARD: Well, I'm not gonna do what a lot of other wrestlers would do after losing a title! I'm not gonna make a bunch of excuses or blame everybody, but myself! Jos LeDuc kicked my tail all over this ring and won my title! That's just a fact, Mark! I publically challenege him to a rematch right here and now! That's not the only title that interests me right now! C'mon up here, cowboy!
Cowboy Scott Casey enters the ring. He shakes hands with Prichard.
PRICHARD: Next week, here on UWA FURY, Scott and myself have a title shot with the Super Samoans! We're excited about this opportunity and we plan on giving it all we got!
LOWRANCE: Scott, the one thing that always seems to come up with the Super Samoans is the size of these two guys-Afa is over 300 pounds and Kokina is well over 400 pounds! That gives them a big size advantage!
CASEY: They might outweigh us, but they can't outwrestle us! Tommy is one of the best all around wrestlers going today! No matter how big they are, I think we have a really good shot at winning those belts!
PRICHARD: I've got a great partner and I think we could have gold around our waists this time next week!
LOWRANCE: Good luck, guys! Brian Knobbs takes on Ricky Morton when we return!
The Nasty Boys and Bill Dundee stand in the ring. Then, we hear...
Ricky Morton heads to the ring for a rare singles match! Robert Gibson comes along to be his second. They get their usual fan reaction, even for a single bout.
Ricky Morton (w/Robert Gibson) vs. Brian Knobbs (w/Jerry Sags & Superstar Bill Dundee): For most of the bout, Ricky uses his quickness to frustrate the bigger Knobbs. Knobbs does turn things around with brawling tactics, but Ricky catches him in a victory roll and Sags runs in to break it up! Gibson runs in to counteract Sags and before you know it, we have a wild brawl going on! Dundee gets involved and the 3 on 2 odds are too much for Ricky and Robert until Johnny Ace comes to ringside and slides a chair in to Ricky! Ricky uses the chair to run the heels back to their dressing room!
COMMERCIAL
UWA World Junior Heavyweight Title match: Superstar Bill Dundee © vs. Sam Houston: Dundee's first televised title defense. Houston takes it to the champion and seems one step ahead of him for most of way. It looks like we may see a title switch when Houston gets Dundee in the corner for the bulldog. Unfortunately, Houston spends too much time twirling his finger in the air before going for it and gives Dundee enough time to get set in the corner. Houston comes flying out of the corner and lands flat on his back in the center of the ring. Dundee comes off the turnbuckle with a “bombs away” to score the pin and retain his title!
COMMERCIAL
Don “the Rock” Muraco vs. The Grappler: A hard hitting match between two rugged grapplers. The Grappler goes for a kick with the loaded boot, but Muraco blocks it and gets the Grappler on his shoulder and nails the reverse piledriver for a 1-2-3!

MAIN EVENT: Billy Jack Haynes & “Universal Heartthrob” Austin Idol vs. Gentleman Jimmy Golden & Master of Pain (w/”Tennessee Stud” Ron Fuller): There's a lot of bad blood here and it shows. Referee Scott LeDoux has a tough time keeping order as all four wrestlers and Fuller seem to want to be in the ring! After several minutes of non stop action, Idol locks Golden in the Las Vegas Leglock while Haynes brawls with the Master! Golden submits and the faces win! Fuller goes after Idol after the bell and locks in the Fuller Leglock until Haynes makes the save!
MARSHALL: You don't want to miss next week's UWA FURY!
