Ross, “Jess, we’ve got a big one tonight! The Global Tag Team Championship is on the line, the Freebirds defend the titles against the Midnight Express with Jim Cornette!”
Ventura, “My money’s on Cornette and his guys!”
Ross, “And I will be talking to GWA President Gorilla Monsoon. We will talk about ‘The Spring Spectacular”. Let’s go to Howard Finkel!”
Match #1
The Iron Sheik w/General Skandor Akbar vs. George South
The Sheik has challenged Randy Savage for the North American Championship. Tonight he meets game South. George starts fas by out wrestling the Iranian. The Sheik is frustrated, and takes to the floor to confer with Akbar. He returns and goes to work. He is a master of the duplex, and he proves it. He punishes South and wins with the camel clutch.
Winner-The Iron Sheik
Match #2
Hacksaw Jim Duggan vs. Dale Veasey
Two rugged competitors go at it. Duggan has the size advantage, Veasey probably has the quickness edge. Duggan is very aggressive, and puts Veasey in the corner. Veasey rakes Jim’s eyes and escapes. Veasey puts up a good fight, but Duggan is too much. He hits the spear for the win. Duggan vs. Reed will be a great one.

Tito Santana vs. Gary Royal
The popular man from Toucola, Mexico comes to the ring. Santana moves smoothly, and Royal is on the defensive. Santana drop kicks Royal through the ropes, and he hits the arena floor hard. Royal climbs back into the ring, but Tito is in control. He hits the flying firearm for the win.
Winner-Tito Santana
We see the “Piper’s Pit” set. Roddy Piper walks out.
Piper, “Hello everyone, RP here! Every time I do the ‘Pit’, I talk to the best in wrestling, tonight I talk to ‘THE’ bes! My guest is the GWA Champion Barry Windham!”
Windham walks out. He looks at Piper with uneasiness.
Piper, “Wow, you are a big one!”
Windham, “Watch it Piper!”
Piper, “Hold on there hoss, I’m on your side. I’m glad you beat Flair, he’s the dirtiest player in the game, he’ll come back for that title with everything he has. You better be ready!”
Windham, “Piper, you are right! I know that Flair is coming for me, and I’m ready for it. I came here to wrestle the best, and I beat Flair, and he was the best. Let him come back, I’ll beat him again!”
Piper, “I like this kid, he’s got guts!”
Match #4
The Bolsheviks w/General Skandor Akbar vs. Buck Zumhofe and Mark Fleming
Akbar leads his big Russians to the ring. With all the talk of the Freebirds, and the Midnight Express, you cannot ignore Volkoff and Zhukov. Zumhofe opens up with Zhukov. Buck hits and runs, and Boris is frustrated. He confers with Akbar and Nikolai. Boris returns to the ring and slows the pace. He hammers away at Buck. The bigger Bolshevik tags in. Volkoff dominates the action. Fleming tags on, but has no chance. Volkoff gets him up in a backbreaker, and Flemming submits. Don’t overlook this team.

Johnny Smith vs. The Great Wojo
The powerful young Englishman meets the mat wrestler from Toledo. Wojo is skilled, but he will also break the rules when needed. Wojo controls the early action. Smith is in trouble. He is able to use his strength to overpower Wojo. Johnny uses a power slam for the win.
Winner-Johnny Smith
Milt Avruskin is with “Macho Man” Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth.
Avruskin, “With me are the North American Champion, Randy Savage, and the lovely Miss Elizabeth. ‘Macho Man’, the Iron Sheik is on your trail, he wants your title, and he has Akbar with him.”
Savage, “Iron Sheik, you say you hate America, but you want the North American Title, that doesn’t make sense, no it doesn’t! Well, the ‘Macho Man’, and Miss Elizabeth, are proud to be Americans, yes we are!”
Avruskin, “He is the master of the suplex.”
Savage, “I’m the master of everything, ohhhhh yeaaaaa!”
Avruskin, “‘The Macho Man’ vs. The Iron Sheik!”

“Macho Man” Randy Savage (North American Champion) w/Miss Elizabeth vs. The Cuban Assassin
The wild Assassin jumps Savage before the bell. He works over the Champ, and Elizabeth is very worried. Savage fires back. The Champion might be the most talented man in the sport. Savage takes over and wins with the flying elbow.

Jim Ross and GWA Gorilla Monsoon are seated in the studio.
Ross, “With me is GWA President Gorilla Monsoon. Mr. Monsoon, the GWA has hit the ground running. Crowds have been huge, and the excitement is off the charts. Every show is a big one, but have an especially big one coming up.”
Monsoon, “That we do Jim. On Saturday night, March 19, the action will be in western New York. The Memorial Auditorium in Buffalo will host the action. Bell time 8:00 at the show will be available on Pay per View. Contact your local cable company for more information.”
Ross, “There are a lot of rumors about the card. Let’s use an old Oklahoma expression, and go right to the horse's mouth. What matches will we see?”
Monsoon, “Well, this horse can announce two matches tonight. First of all, this has been talked about for sometime, Randy Savage will defend the North American Title against the Iron Sheik. That will be a challenge for the Champion.”
Ross, “That’s a great one! You have one more for us.”
Monsoon, “I can announce the main event. We will see a tag team match, Bobby Heenan’s men, Ric Flair and Butch Reed will take on the Global Champion, Barry Windham, and Hacksaw Jim Duggan. That’s a star studded match.”
Ross, “Let’s hear from Mr. Heenan.”
Bobby Heenan, Ric Flair, and Butch Reed are in the interview area.
Heenan, “‘Spring Spectacular’ in Buffalo! What’s that mean, three feet of snow instead of 12? It doesn’t matter, a big, dumb, Texas hick, and cockeyed Duggan, aren’t going to beat the greatest wrestler in the world, and the Global Television Champion.”
Flair, “Windham, I guess you aren’t man enough to take me on one one, after we take care of you in Buffalo, it’s going to be you and me, and your title run comes to an end! Remember, to be the man, you have to beat the man, and…I…am…the…man!”
Ross, “March 19 on Pay per View, don’t miss it!”

Global Tag Team Championship
The Fabulous Freebirds (Champions) vs, The Midnight Express w/Jim Cornette
There is excitement in the air. The tag team titles are on the line. Jim Cornette takes the mic.
Cornette, “It’s time for a change, and these two are fixing to do it, Loverboy Dennis, and Beautiful Bobby, the midnight Express!”
It will be Roberts and Gordy for the Champions. Michael Hayes will be at ringside to counter act Cornette. The bell rings and we are underway. Roberts and Eaton lock up. Eaton might be the finest technical wrestler in the business. Roberts is as tough as they come. Roberts roughes up Eaton. Bobby mounts a comeback, this brings the fans to their feet. Roberts tags in Gordy. Bamm Bamm enters the action. Gordy goes to work on Eaton. Bobby is able to tag in Condrey, and the rugged veteran goes right after the big Freebird. The action is off the charts. Referee Bill Alphonso tries to control the action. He attempts to get Gordy and Eaton out of the ring. In the confusion, Cornette tosses the tennis racket to Condrey, he smashes Roberts, and Buddy goes down like a ton of bricks. Dennis covers him, and Alphonso turns to count, 1…2…3! WE HAVE NEW CHAMPIONS! Cornette and his men take the belts. Hayes and the Freebirds are livid. Suddenly, referee Earl Hebner runs down the aisle. He talks to Alphonso, and explains the situation. Alphonso calls for the bell again. He reverses the decision, and disqualifies Cornette and his men! This is not over!
Winners- The Fabulous Freebirds (Disqualification, Reversed Decision)
Jim Ross and Jesse Ventura close the show.
Ross, “Cornette learned a lesson!”
Ventura, “This isn’t over Ross! These teams will meet again!”
Ross, “That’s right Jess, these are the two best teams in the business. Speaking of tag teams, we have another tag team main event next week. General Skandor Akbar leads the Bolsheviks into action against a popular returning tag team, the Simpson Brothers. ‘Global Monday’ is on fire!”
