Choshu stays on the attack, he hoists Fuji up and drops him with a suplex. Choshu prepares for another Lariat, but Fujinami again dropkicks him as Choshu charges towards him!
Both men are slow to get up, with Fujinami stunning Choshu with some knife-edged chops before applying an Abdominal Stretch. Choshu is in the middle of the ring, there’s nowhere to go, but he manages to flip Fujinami over, breaking the hold. As Fujinami gets to his feet, Choshu again attempts a Lariat, this time, Fuji ducks under, hooks Choshu’s arms, and brings him over with a backslide for a VERY close nearfall!
Fujinami hits an enziguri for another nearfall! Choshu grabs him, but Fujinami rolls him up in a small package for the ONE . . . TWO . . . THREE!!!!
KENJI WAKABAYASHI and TAKASHI YAMADA open the show.

KING’S ROAD LEAGUE:
BLOCK A:
ANTONIO INOKI [6 points] defeats SCOTT HALL [4 points]. Hall may not be able to match Inoki on the mat, but he’s got the advantage in size and power, and he uses that to full advantage! Hall pummels Inoki early, but Antonio battles back, eventually turning the tide of the match. Inoki ends up getting the win after connecting with an enziguri, before applying the Octopus Hold for the submission!
KING’S ROAD LEAGUE:
BLOCK B:
RIKI CHOSHU [6 points] beats JIM NEIDHART [1 point]. Neidhart uses his power to batter Choshu early on, but after a hard-hitting, back and forth match, Choshu locks Neidhart in the Scorpion Lock for the submission!

We go to pre-recorded comments from Rick Martel. Martel says that he has a lot of respect for Tatsumi Fujinami, he’s a great wrestler. But Martel says that this belt, the International title, is the most prestigious championship in wrestling today, he worked extremely hard to win it, and he won’t give it up without a fight! He says that on November 7 in Tokyo, he wants Tatsumi to give him his very best, because Martel is going to fight with everything he’s got to keep this belt!
KING’S ROAD LEAGUE:
BLOCK A:
GENICHIRO TENRYU [8 points] defeats ASHURA HARA [0 points]. The momentum goes back and forth early on, with neither man getting a clear advantage. Eventually they make their way to the floor, where Tenryu slams Hara’s head into the announcers’ desk, but when he tries to do it again, Hara blocks it, drives an elbow into Tenryu’s midsection, then he slams Tenryu’s head into the table! Hara then whips Tenryu into the ringpost, before rolling back into the ring.
Tenryu takes a moment to shake the cobwebs off, before re-entering the ring himself. Hara stays on the offensive, whipping Tenryu into the ropes, and connecting with a powerslam, then pulling Genichiro up, only to drop him back to the mat with a suplex! Hara covers Tenryu, but only gets a 2-count.
Tenryu battles back, and eventually connects with an enziguri to stun Hara, then drives him into the mat with the Folding Powerbomb for the 1, 2, 3!
After getting his hand raised, Tenryu asks for the house mic. He helps Hara up, and says that he and Ashura have battled many times over the years, and each time, he’s been very impressed with Hara!
Tenryu then makes an offer to Hara to join him and Riki Choshu! Tenryu offers his hand, Hara takes a moment to think it over, and then shakes Tenryu’s hand!
Tenryu and Hara then leave the ring together!
We go to pre-recorded comments from Stan Hansen. Hansen says that he beat everyone in Block A, and now he’s going on to face the winner of Block B for the vacant World Heavyweight championship! Hansen says that whoever wins Block B is going to wish they hadn’t when they step into the ring with him!
KING’S ROAD LEAGUE:
BLOCK B:
TATSUMI FUJINAMI [10 points] beats YOSHIAKI YATSU [6 points]. Fujinami and Yatsu are currently ranked 1 and 2, respectively, in Block B, and they battle tooth and nail here, each hoping to earn those all-important 2 points in the King’s Road League!
They start off fast, with Yatsu applying a side headlock, but Fujinami immediately shoots him off into the ropes, only for Yatsu to drops the Dragon with a shoulder block. Yatsu runs the ropes again, Fujinami leapfrogs him, then connects with a dropkick as Yatsu rebounds off the ropes! They keep that pace going, as Fujinami hoists Yatsu up and drives him into the mat with a bodyslam, but when Tatsumi pulls Yatsu back to his feet, Yatsu wraps his arounds the Dragon’s waist, and hits a big suplex that drops Fujinami right on the back of his head!
From there, Yatsu slows things down. With Fujinami on the mat, Yatsu applies a rear chinlock. Yatsu then repeatedly brings his forearm down across the upper chest and neck of Fujinami, before slapping the chinlock on again. Fujinami breaks the hold by reaching back, grabbing Yatsu’s head, and flipping him forward! Yatsu is up first though, and he dives forward, driving his shoulder into Fujinami’s knee! Yatsu then targets the leg of Fujinami, and goes for his Prison Lock, the kneeling Figure-4, but Fujinami quickly pulls himself to the ropes, forcing a break.
Yatsu stays on the offensive, repeatedly slamming Fujinami to the mat, then jumping off the middle turnbuckle with an elbowdrop for a nearfall! Yatsu follows that up with a belly to belly suplex for another nearfall. Fujinami turns the tables after that, and connects with a belly to belly suplex of his own for a nearfall. Fujinami then connects with some absolutely vicious kicks that leave Yatsu on the mat!
Yatsu keeps fighting, he stuns Fujinami momentarily with some forearm shots, but Fujinami is back on the offensive almost immediately, whipping Yatsu into the ropes and locking on a Sleeperhold! Yatsu starts to fade, but then he stumbles backwards into the corner, squashing Fujinami against the turnbuckles, and causing Tatsumi to let go of the hold. Yatsu doesn’t seem to have a lot left after the Sleeperhold, and Fujinami continues to methodically wear him down, taking him down to the mat, specifically targetting Yatsu’s back and neck.
The next several minutes see Fujinami working Yatsu over, but Yoshiaki keeps fighting back. As Yatsu fights his way back to his feet, Fujinami shoots him off into the ropes, but Yatsu ducks a clothesline attempt, then drops Fujinami with a clothesline of his own! Yatsu seems to get a second wind now, and he puts the boots to Fujinami, keeping the Dragon on the mat. Fujinami gets to his knees, and as Yatsu moves in to continue the attack, Fujinami fires off some stiff forearms to Yatsu’s midsection, doubling the former Olympian over!
Fujinami connects with some more kicks, but Yatsu fires off some kicks of his own, then stuns Fujinami with forearm shots to the jaw! Yatsu delivers a suplex, and goes for the cover, but Fujinami kicks out at 1. Fujinami takes Yatsu to the mat with a drop toe hold, but when he starts to apply his Dragon Sleeper, Yatsu wisely drapes his leg over the bottom rope.
For the next few minutes, the action goes back and forth! Yatsu gains the upper hand, and goes to set Fujinami up for a German suplex, however Fujinami quickly slips out of Yatsu’s grasp, moves around behind him, and hits the Dragon Suplex! Fujinami covers Yatsu, and gets the 1, 2, 3!
With the win, Tatsumi Fujinami wins Block B, which means he’ll face Stan Hansen next week for the vacant WWK World Heavyweight championship!
