This brings Dibiase back in, and once again we’ve got all four guys in the ring! Dibiase throws Yatsu to the floor, and follows him out, while Hansen continues to pummel Tiger Mask inside the ring. Tiger Mask tries to fight back and gets in a few shots on Hansen, knocking the Texan to his knees.
Tiger Mask II then runs the ropes, but Hansen is back up, he charges forward as TM is rebounding off the ropes . . . LARIATOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
Tiger Mask hits the mat like a ton of bricks, and Hansen covers him for the 1, 2, 3!!!
KENJI WAKABAYASHI and TAKASHI YAMADA open the show.
They welcome us to this week’s episode of World Wrestling Kingdom!
This week’s feature bout will be a big-time tag team match, as Antonio Inoki and Tatsumi Fujinami, two of the biggest stars in wrestling, square off with Riki Choshu and Genichiro Tenryu!
GIANT BABA & MASA FUCHI & MIGHTY INOUE defeats GORO TSURUMI & TOSHIAKI KAWADA & TIGER JEET SINGH. Baba leads his team to victory, hitting Goro Tsurumi with a big boot as Tsurumi bounced off the ropes, and covering him for the 1, 2, 3.
A series of clips airs, showing Genichiro Tenryu laying out Giant Baba after the main event on the debut show. Then we see Tenryu pinning Baba in a singles match, followed by Tenryu and Riki Choshu defeating the legendary B-I Cannon of Baba and Antonio Inoki. The clips end with Tatsumi Fujinami talking to Antonio Inoki in the locker room last week, offering to team with him against Tenryu and Choshu, mentioning his long-standing rivalry with Choshu.
Wakabayashi and Yamada then briefly discuss today’s main event, where Fujinami and Inoki will meet Tenryu and Choshu. As well, all four men will be a part of the King’s Road League, which begins tonight at the Ota Ward Gymnasium.
STAN HANSEN defeats ASHURA HARA. Hara is as tough as they come, and he puts up a valiant effort here, but Hansen eventually gets the win, dropping Hara with a vicious Western Lariat for the 1, 2, 3!
Wakabayashi and Yamada talk about the King’s Road League tournament that will start tonight, October 2, at Ota Ward Gymnasium in Tokyo. The tournament will run until October 31 at Nippon Budokan, where the wrestler with the most points in Block A will face the wrestler with the most points in Block B to determine the WWK World champion! If two wrestlers are tied in points at the end, whichever wrestler won the match between them will move on to the final. If the match between them was a draw, then they’ll wrestle each other again in a semi final to determine who will advance.
The following wrestlers will take part in the tournament:
BLOCK A:
GENICHIRO TENRYU!
ANTONIO INOKI!
ASHURA HARA!
STAN HANSEN!
SCOTT HALL!
DINO BRAVO!
BLOCK B:
TATSUMI FUJINAMI!
RIKI CHOSHU!
YOSHIAKI YATSU!
TIGER JEET SINGH!
DICK SLATER!
JIM NEIDHART!
TIGER MASK II & YOSHIAKI YATSU defeat BOB ORTON JR & DICK SLATER. Slater and Orton wrestle a rough, rugged style, and early on it seems to work for them as they control the early going. Slater and Orton keep Tiger Mask II in their corner, using quick tags in and out to keep the fresh man in, and they work TM over.
The masked man eventually battles back, and stuns both Orton and Slater with vicious elbow strikes that leave both of them stunned. TM2 then tags Yatsu in, and he goes to work on Orton, keeping him on the mat and methodically wearing him down. Slater comes in to help his tag partner, but TM2 comes back in and puts a stop to that.
As the match progresses, the momentum goes back and forth, but in the end, Tiger Mask again stuns Orton with a flurry of elbow strikes, then hits him with the Tiger Suplex for the 1, 2, 3!

TATSUMI FUJINAMI & ANTONIO INOKI defeat RIKI CHOSHU & GENICHIRO TENRYU by DISQUALIFICATION.
Fujinami and Choshu start things off. Fujinami takes control to start, he immediately goes after Choshu’s arm, a smart strategy, as Riki likes to utilize a Lariat. Fujinami continues to work on the arm, but Choshu gets free, and tags in Tenryu. Fujinami goes at Tenryu, but Genichiro takes him to the mat with an armdrag, then goes to work on Fujinami’s back, repeatedly driving an elbow or knee into his back. Every time Fujinami tries to fight back, Tenryu takes him back down to the mat.
Choshu tags back in, and he and Tenryu double-team Tatsumi for a moment, then Choshu takes Fujinami down to the mat, and uses a variety of holds to wear him down. He applies an arm scissors, but Fujinami is close enough to drape a leg over the bottom rope, forcing a break. With both men back up to their feet, Fujinami unleashes a flurry of vicious kicks, but Choshu quickly drives a knee into Fuji’s midsection, putting a stop to his attack. Choshu tags out to Tenryu, and they hit a double Russian Legsweep on Fujinami before Choshu leaves the ring.
Fujinami grabs Tenryu in a headlock, but Genichiro drops him with a big backdrop suplex, which gets a 2-count. Tenryu then whips Fujinami into the ropes, and backdrops him, with Choshu then going to the top rope and delivering a kneedrop to the chest of Fujinami. Tenryu covers him and gets another 2-count. Tenryu and Choshu dominate the next few minutes of the match, they tag in and out regularly, and keep Fujinami isolated in their corner. Inoki, still waiting for his first opportunity to get into the match, is cheering Fujinami on, encouraging him to keep fighting.
Fujinami shows his fighting spirit, no matter how bad a beating he takes from Tenryu and Choshu, he won’t stay down, he keeps fighting back!
Fujinami is finally able to make it back to his own corner, and he tags Inoki in! Inoki squares off with Tenryu, with Antonio getting the upper hand, and taking Tenryu to the mat. Inoki applies an Indian deathlock, looking for a submission, but Choshu breaks it up. Choshu then tags in, and goes to work on Inoki, hitting him with a running powerslam for a 2-count. The match has been pretty much all Tenryu and Choshu so far, but the fans are solidly behind Fujinami and Inoki, and they chant Inoki’s name. Choshu applies a leglock, but Inoki is close enough that he quickly pulls himself to the ropes for a break.
Choshu goes for his Scorpion lock, but Tatsumi Fujinami breaks that up. Choshu then holds Inoki in a backbreaker over his knee, and Tenryu comes off the top rope with a kneedrop to the throat of Inoki! That gets another 2-count! Inoki is in a bad way, but he won’t stay down! Tenryu tags in, and he and Choshu double-team Inoki, hitting a double clothesline!
Inoki battles back, though, he blocks a punch attempt from Tenryu, and staggers him with a series of forearm shots. He slams Tenryu to the mat, then tags Fujinami, who comes off the top with a kneedrop of his own on Tenryu! Fujinami is in control as we near the 15-minute mark. Fujinami locks Tenryu in a Bow and Arrow, but Tenryu won’t give up. Genichiro eventually turns the tables, and locks Fujinami in a sleeperhold! Fujinami breaks it by dropping to a sitting position, driving the top of his head up into Tenryu’s jaw! Both men make tags, and Inoki comes in and tears into Choshu! He goes for his Octopus hold, but Tenryu comes back in to break that up. Tenryu and Choshu then double-team Inoki, which brings Fujinami back in and for the next few moments, all four men brawl in the ring!
When referee Tiger Hattori finally gets order restored, Choshu and Tenryu continue the attack on Inoki. They keep him isolated in their corner, tagging in and out, and working him over. Choshu again locks on the Scorpion lock, and this time, Tenryu comes off the ropes and drops an elbow onto the back of Inoki’s head! Hattori forces Choshu to release the hold after that, and Choshu drops an elbow of his own, then covers Inoki for a 2-count.
After taking more punishment, Inoki is finally able to make the tag to Fujinami. Fujinami gets the upper hand on Choshu, but Tenryu comes back in and once again we see Tenryu and Choshu double-teaming Fujinami! Choshu applies the Scorpion lock again, but Fujinami is close enough to the ropes to force a break. Choshu tags Tenryu in, and Tenryu puts the boots to Fujinami!
Tenryu sets Fujinami up for his Powerbomb, but Inoki comes in and connects with an Enziguri! Fujinami crawls over to his corner, and tags Inoki, who comes in and hits Tenryu with another Enziguri for a 2-count! Tenryu tags in Choshu, who tears into Inoki. Choshu connects with a Lariat, then hoists Inoki up in a Piledriver, with Tenryu coming off the top rope for a SPIKE PILEDRIVER! Choshu covers Inoki . . . but Inoki gets a shoulder up at the last second! Frustrated, Choshu whips Antonio into the ropes, and hits another Lariat! Choshu covers him, but AGAIN Inoki gets a shoulder up at the very last possible second!
Choshu thought he got the 3-count, and when Tiger Hattori says no, it was only two, Riki Choshu drops him with a clothesline! Fujinami comes in, but he’s quickly double-teamed by Choshu and Tenryu, and then tossed out to the floor.
Choshu and Tenryu continue to assault Inoki, until Tiger Hattori gets back to his feet, and calls for the bell, disqualifying Choshu and Tenryu for attacking him!
Fujinami slowly gets back into the ring, but Choshu drops him with a Lariat! With Inoki and Fujinami both down and out on the mat, Choshu and Tenryu leave the ring, as the young boys come into the ring to check on Inoki and Fujinami
Wakabayashi and Yamada wrap things up, and hype next week’s show.
